I arranged to share a meal with a friend at Paragon's last night and the food was delicious. We both decided to opt for starters and mains from the curry menu and wasn't disappointed. The service was really good and have to say a big thank you to Ahmed and his team. We will be back.

Lovely, fish starter, & lamb & potato curry was bang on.. Had to wait a while to be served but, it was worth it. I will return. Very nice. 👍

We ordered a takeaway and it took over an hour to arrive on a Tuesday night… but we found the food at the bottom of the white bag. All of our curries and rice mixed together at the bottom of the bag. We called to raise the issue only to find the member of staff arguing the other side of the phone blaming us. We heard them ask the manager what to do, they said they only paid £45 so tell them to pay 50% and they’ll deliver again. We then had the manager call us to say it’s our fault and they won’t be doing anything. Disgusting service, won’t be using again. Edit - you can see from the response how sarcastic and defensive they get. The phone call from not one but two members of staff was rude, the manager laughed when I stated the food was at the bottom of the bag. We tried these on the recommendation of another customer in the area but we’d advise to use one of the many other Indian restaurants as these aren’t worth a penny. Terrible customer service.

2nd visit here and just as good as the first

Had some food and it was so disgusting the food was dry and came cold and was over 2 hours late never going to be ordered again should try somewhere else guys instead of this place the service and rude staff that don't understand English when spoken to not worth trying

Amazing food and would definitely come back. It was quite at the time as it was early and service was quick and food hot and very tasty and could not fault it.

I was introduced to this place by my neighbours.. and I am forever grateful for this !! I only order from them when I fancy a curry (naga lamb curry is boss ) or a paragon mixed grill .. but my wife also tried it and we now love to try different things .. I mean .. we simply can’t fault them !!! The ONLY place that will make proper onion Bhajis… not sure if spelled right but my god … proper and delicious stuff .. curries and just everything.. I’ve literally ordered 5 times in the last 9 days 😂 and delivery is fast and food ALWAYS hot !!! No place in tamworth or the even Lichfield can compare to Paragon !! As a chef and big fan of food from other cultures I strongly recommend this place ! I order online directly from them .. delivery is rapid and I dnt have to pay more to Uber or Deliveroo where they charge me service and delivery charge and menu prices also increase just because you order online 😂 if you do like a curry ,honestly , go under (something different) and try lamb or chicken Naga .. trust me .👌👌

Literally the only place in Tamworth that I eat at multiple times a month! My entire family will order from or eat in multiple times a month and the food is just absolutely gorgeous! The atmosphere and staff inside is equally lovely and it's just so nice to see in a local restaurant! The food is a genuine 10/10 and better than most of the other grills/Indian restaurants in Tamworth xx

My order was 45 minutes late, freezing cold (after assurance on the phone it wouldn't be ) and tiny portion , £35 and still hungry.....never again

We ordered Tonight for the first time 5* food so fresh the freshest I’ve ever had. The meat was plentiful and the lamb melted in your mouth 😋🤤really really enjoyed it. Fast service food came really hot 🔥🔥 10/10

Superb brilliant food cant fault it 👌

I visited the grill with a client from work who has visual problems. The staff were really accommodating and helped where needed. The food was lovely and the drinks reasonably priced. The parking and building were accessible and easy to mauvner my client around. 100% recommend

Used to frequent the Zodiac pub many years ago! Its good to see its still open & one half is an indian restaurant. The staff go above & beyond here to ensure you have a really good meal & service. The food is just amazing & really tasty. If I had to give a negative...it would be plates being cleared from the table whilst some are still eating! Its my pet hate. Just give the whole party time to digest. Its just so rude. That said, everything was great & we would return.

Hidden gem, it was a great meal and well priced. The bar next door was welcoming and had a great atmosphere. I look forward to going back when I'm next in the area.

We ordered a takeaway from paragon yesterday and it was amazing! I’d go as far as saying best takeaway we have ever had. The mixed grill and masala chips are to die for. Highly recommend, lovely freshly cooked food with lots of great tastes!

Ate here last night 11/3/23, service and food were fantastic, my mate tests a new place by having a Madras and he said it was one of the best he ever tasted, high praise indeed from a madras connoisseur

Came here tonight with friends for the first time, None of us had been here before but wanted to try it, I have to say that the Chicken Madras was one of the best I'd tasted, The staff and service was great ,and the restaurant was clean and tidy, I would definitely recommend you visit here.. We also had a Paragon grill just to pick at whilst eating our curry, the 3 of us finished that off no problem, There wasn't any food left on the plates as it was that nice.

Love this place the food really is 5* the service is also 5* this is a busy restaurant the staff are friendly and can’t do enough for you even took me home when I couldn’t get a taxi so I’m disappointed to see reviews that are not deserved someone complaining about wrong meal sent out had they of rang restaurant this would of been rectified immediately and correct meal resent out asap as this happened to me so if you don’t inform restaurant to rectify this and let them know then you shouldn’t be writing a bad review!! And as for a group of ladies being too loud the restaurant is attached to a pub groups of people go out to celebrate birthdays anniversaries etc and sometimes can be loud had you of again spoke to the staff I’m sure they would of approached the table and asked the group to maybe keep the volume down but the restaurant doesn’t deserve a 1* review because of this as you should be writing reviews on the food and sevice is definitely not that and maybe if you had a headache if you asked staff for a parecetomal they would if provided that too there very hospitable in that way!! This is people’s livelyhoods trying to build a buisness maybe try and understand that before slating it unnecessarily

Lively and pleasant atmosphere, a good range of drinks and service.

Great mixed grill, really tasty and fresh, had it masala chips. Main course of lamb achari and garlic and coriander naan.

Food is amazing everytime we lovely it here. Best place to go for an indian. The staff are so welcoming!

As regulars On visiting last night Saturday 11th Feb 2023. First of all table was booked for 7pm for 4 of us. on arrival no table ready waited about 10mins to be set up ok. Then we felt rushed having had poppadoms and starter brought out before we had finished them, soon as we had finished starter main meal came out. And then to make thing worse a party of women swearing and shouting aloud in front of a family sitting on the next table to them with two children. And to top the lot smoking vapes at the table. So in all we were in and out within a hour with headache. Don't think we will be going back for a while.

Excellent food, my partner has an allergy and they always serve the correct food and not had a problem with anything staff were lovely and can have a laugh with you thank you will definitely be coming back when coming here we definitely tip the staff

Ordered two meals online when order came the one meal wasn't what we had ordered but to save any fuss we kept it. My husband half way through the evening began to feel unwell and started to be sick he had terrible stomach pains it was so bad the sickness and pain he could not go to bed and stayed down stairs in a chair , we will never order from Paragon again this has completely put us off . We now it wasn't what he had eaten previously that day as he had only had toast .

New years eve in this great restaurant and the lively bar next door . Wonderful hosts and a super bringing in of the new year. Thanks

Being from Birmingham I've been to a fair few indian grill type places, and have long thought Tamworths been missing a trick. I'm so happy we've finally got one and man it's amazing. Got a goat curry, which is so rare to find authentic on the bone curries. Was absolutely superb. Most curries around the area are just so sweet and full of sugar.. This was far from that. Then also got a small mixed grill for £6 with enough to feed at least two people. Chicken tikka was breast which I thought was likely to be dry. Was so juicy and tasty, and can clearly tell its all been cooked from fresh. Don't usually like the kebabs but again was beautiful. All served on a bed of sizzling onions. We've been to so many curry houses or got takeaways and been pleased by one of two things but always let down by another. Can categorically say every thing served was absolutely bang on. Amazing onion bhajis, naan breads and extra sauces etc. Then the service was just so nice. Staff are friendly and welcoming and can't do enough for you. Relaxed casual dining style which is definitely how I prefer it. Amazing experience 10/10. Just so chuffed we've got this on our doorstep now. Can't wait to get back and try the other specials.

Fantastic meal plenty of food cooked to perfection and the mint sauce was flowing. My lad's took me for father's day and I will b going back soon.

The service is nice and friendly, the drinks come from the pub, next door, the Whining Post, so you are well covered... but the food is the star here: the food is very, very good indeed! A neighbour and friend told me about this place and we regret the fact that took so long for us to come and try! Do not make the same mistake! The menu has plenty to offer, we are still discovering it. Ah, they offer take aways too with a discount. What not to like?

The restaurant is now called Paragon not the Royal Balti. Food is really tasty and well priced. Service was a little chaotic due to one of the staff not turning up but will give them the benefit of the doubt. We found the place quite noisy but you probably expect this of any Indian restaurant attached to a busy pub. Seemed to be doing a good trade on take away side. Will have to try it out one night.

Came in Friday night (18/03/22) with large group of friends. Ordered 3 x paragon grills, 1 x masala chips, 1 x chilli chips. The value for money is great. On a paragon grill (£20) you could probably feed 3-4 people. The food was really nice. Probably not on the same level as the more established curry pubs in birmingham (Soho tavern, JQ Bar and Grill) but easily the best in Tamworth. Service was really quick and the bar staff are friendly and attentive. Would definitely return for another visit.

The location is chaotic. Unclear what you have to do to order a drink. The pub and Indian are separate entities. Finally ordered and starters arrived they were OK. I ordered a tandoori deluxe not sure what was deluxe about it as the lamb tikka was tough and inedible. Other members of party enjoyed their food. Although the goat curry has lots of bones in it. Won't be back.

Awful food...probably the worst Asian food I’ve ever had..just a salty mess ..chicken of worst quality..tandoori grill for the people who sadly are getting ripped off with this garbage..go Soho grill Birmingham for the real deal or one of the many tandoori grills in Birmingham

The royal balti house did the food for our 25 anniversary and birthday party we had over 50 to attend ,Ali and his fantastic team went the extra mile to make sure the food was perfect for our occasion, we had a 3 course meal with 3 choices of curry's my guests Loved ittttttt and wanted to know where the restaurant was. Ali and the team get 5 stars from me and the guest's you made our night the food was amazing thank you so much . Just finished eating our food, and it was delicious. Delivered on time and fairly priced. They should be proud of the service provide .

Very friendly guy who allowed me to shelter from the snow. I really enjoyed my vegetable curry. Other members of the family weren't so positive. Nevertheless will more than likely have another takeaway at some point. The poppadoms were stale though, and will avoid these in future. A huge range of South Asian dishes.

Had our first takeaway from here last night after it came recommended. We were not disappointed. The complimentary starter, poppadoms and dips were lovely. And the mains, sides and naans were delicious too. Only 40 minute wait for delivery. Slightly pricey for takeout but you get what you pay for in my opinion and it was all super tasty 😋

Had a takeaway from here as a Saturday night treat & it certainly was a treat. Delivery was quick & the food was hot & delicious. Plenty of food per portion at a great price. Will definitely have takeaways from here again & highly recommended.

Booked a table for myself and my partner. We have used the pub before for music events, however this was the first time eating here. We we pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food we were served. The staff are very friendly and accommodating without being over the top. The chef even came out to ask if everything was ok which was a nice touch. We usually use the Indian restaurants in the town centre but will definitely be returning. Restaurant was also COVID compliant.

Just had lamb Ticka Masala wife had a Badami chicken Tika both where amazing dishes Staff could not have been more Helpful. It was the Waiter who suggested the Badami Chicked cooked with nuts and peanut butter. The wife said she had never had a better meal. Food and Staff both 5 Stars. Will be coming back again soon and prices where also excellent massive Thank you for a great night

We had a takeaway delivered to the Co-op as we were on our narrow boat, service was perfect and the delivery quick. Food was fantastic! Order was spot on and there was easily enough food for 2 nights.

Local lad who loves his curries, I usually travel far and wide to taste, but GREAT I can stay local now. Great lads, great service, very attentive. Sy the main man, accommadated everything we asked for. The food is amazing, good amount, you wont go hungry, and so resonable. Good surroundings, great pub and clientel that are all friendly. The food is fantastic,very tasty and good quality The service is friendly but would be better if checked on tables more often. Would definately go again but avoid the window table. The noisy outdoor smoker/drinkers fist bumping, hugging and watching you eat are off putting. Curtains should be closed.

Took refuge in this pub after having the unfortunate experience of being followed home. The managers and bar staff made me feel safe, were very friendly and welcoming, took the time to talk to me. Nice pub, lovely people. Will definately visit again based on this alone.

Duno about the pub but the Indian restaurant is great had several meals from here the last one was a madras best iv had for years. Baltis are first class highly recommend .

My husband and myself decided to try Royal Balti restaurant inside the pub what can I say the food is amazing very tasty and good portions , the staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you, went there on Saturday the 13th Nov to eat in, went again sat 20th for takeaway wasn't disappointed at all...AMAZING FOOD
