Visited last night with my partner and although the restaurant is being refurbished the service was great. The food was all lovely and fresh couldn't fault the place would definitely eat here again

Ordered through Tamworth eats, waited nearly 2 hours for delivery and only received 3 of the 4 items- not a huge order-called and was told chips would be sent out. 30mins later a call to ask for our address- at this point the rest of the meal had been eaten or if we had waited would be cold. First and last time customers. Would not recommend at all.

What a gem of a place I’ve been to many Indian restaurants in Tamworth but I have to say Miah tandoori restaurant is my best experience without a doubt service and quality of food was excellent ill definitely be returning.

Terrible delivery time 30 mins late, 2 items missing contacted them and they didn’t seem bothered, food was terrible called to complain to be told brother would contact me. I’ve ordered from here for years this is definitely the last time.

Have been using the miah for a good few years and food is always lovely. Went in for a meal for a change of scenery and was even better. Service was brilliant and food fantastic. Always recommend to friends and family.

As usual I'll get the downside of things out of the way, beers are bottled and are expensive for what you get, and the toilets are upstairs, not great if your disabled and the hence the reason its not a 5* review. Thankfully this place is rarely busy, why I have no idea because I find it a really nice place to eat. I booked for a party of 7 an hour before we wanted to go, no problem. We arrived and there was another party of 8 which only left a few empty tables. The staff are friendly and polite, the place itself is clean and tidy and the food is superb with several dishes I have never tried before, all are well described and taste lovely, you are not rushed between courses and we left feeling full but not stuffed.

Awful- I asked on my biryani for mild curry...looks like slop from a tin, chicken in rice is chewy, mint sauce so watery & my paratha/naan was just burnt....First time using & not happy

Poperdoms were not crisp,starter was chewey, lemonade in gin was flat,and the mains were tasteless,never again,an apology but no discount on the £70 bill😔

I come here all the time and tonight your staff member has been very rude to me on the phone: He tried to charge me extra and I know the prices as I always have same order. Usually the man who takes orders always know it’s me when I call… he says my address and repeats my order without me saying: Tonight this new man not good! I am good customer and he make me never want to come back again.

Myself and my wife, daughter & son in law and grandson (whom was 4 today) were staying nearby whilst visiting Drayton manor. We went to the Miah Tandoori for our evening meal. The food and service was first class, looked after superbly by the lovely lady working there. Thank you very much. 👍

The best Indian restaurant in Tamworth, my wife and I always have a lovely time here. Its nice and friendly, and the food is so good it should be rammed every night. Its nice to have a quiet romantic meal with a great host, but they deserve to be busier than this. Each time we go its quiet. I advise anyone who wants a delicious dish, served by lovely people at reasonable prices, to give this place a try. We are quite fussy when it comes to food, and this place never fails to impress.

I can't post a photo as all eaten 😋 Great food, great service. Website easy to use, we ordered early for a later delivery, cashed in some loyalty points which I wasn't aware had, made it a bargain meal, cooked to individual preference. Highly recommended. Cheers guys.

This is by far the best indian in tamworth. The food was perfectly cooked with lots of extras and surprises. Its cooked with such freshness . I suspect the negative comments are from competitors as we honestly can not fault any of.this meal.

Ordered here for the first time tonight as I wanted to try a new Ruby house. I wanted to explore different textures and flavours within the Ruby industry in Tamworth Town. I went for a madras and I have to say it was the worse madres I've ever tasted, this cut is absolutely diabolical. At its best its the most Distinctive, heave worthy, tasting food I have eaten. Its a horrible taste I will never forget. Its honestly put me off my Indian cousine as a whole now and because of this I doubt other joints. To conclude, this place is the worse place I've had food from. Absolutely shambolic food the chef needs the sack

We have a take away most weekend from the miah and occasionally eat in (when I was allowed) I’ve never had a bad meal, always arrives hot and is exceptionally delicious. I highly recommend the king prawn sagwalla 😋

Had a few lovely meals here, the food is always fantastic. Really good value as the do a deal seven days a week. We went as a 5 all adults and the staff were very helpful. Food arrived within a very fair amount of time even though they were very busy.

Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff and beautiful food. Prices around average compared to other restaurants in the area. Portions were good. We had starters and a main and both courses were cooked to perfection. Haven't visited previously, but will definitely return!

This restaurant is amazing. I have travelled extensively and I always try to look for a restaurant like The Miah. This restaurant does not disappoint. A very wide range of dishes that the staff will tailor to you needs or requirements. If you fancy a change speak to the fantastic staff and the meal you receive will not disappoint. A fantastic friendly welcome and lovely atmosphere. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

The Miahs web page displays a food Hygeine rating of 5 but Rate my place has it as a 1.The 5 rating is from 2016 but the current rating is 1 as of november 2019,I won`t be eating here again until the rating has improved substantially.

lovley, and I mean lovley food. Plenty there, service was amazing, popadoms,starter and food came in less than an hour, the 2 men that served us were friendly and very lovely. As 2 young girls, we were very impressed as we had a full night of things to do, and only had 2 hours until our next activity. We ended up being an hour early, price was amazing and all round one of the best Indians I have been to. Very quiet and all round very pleased. Recommend to people in the area.

Decided to try the Miah as we recently received a menu through the post. We usually use a recommended takeaway in fazeley but thought we'd try something different. Upon ordering, we thought the dishes were rather expensive but the 20% takeaway reduction would bring the price down. Having ordered, we went to collect and on paying we were told that the 20% was no longer offered! Obviously, as a new customer, was very disappointed and was not offered the reduction; he just said that there had been a recent menu change and that offer wasn't available anymore. The most annoying thing was seeing an order on his computer which had given an online order 20% reduction! This was not even mentioned or directed too for the future. Left with a whole in my pocket and very average yet expensive food. No repeat business coming from me! Moral of the story: the grass isn't always greener; stick to what you know!

Very expensive food. They say there is an offer on but don't give it to you and argue when you go to pay. Food is not the best, neither are the drinks. Everything tastes shop brought not home made. It's unclean and the toilet is next to the kitchen. Staff are not friendly and ignore you even when you speak to them. Will never be returning

So a while ago I used this takeaway a couple of times and one occasion what was meant to be a 40 minute delivery turned into an hour and a half. Benefit of the doubt I tried another time (should have learnt) and i waited OVER 2 hours!! 2 hours and 10 minutes if we want to be precise! After 3 phone calls because the first two they lied to me about it being out for delivery and will take "5 minutes" by the third phone call i was angry and they admitted they had no idea wher my order was... so you cant trust these liars... I ordered through an app otherwise i would have told them not to bother and after this time i was starving.. it finally came and did they offer it for free or any sort of compensation? NO! Just sorry been busy attitude... I havent used them since and never will again. My advice is to order from other places who are competant enough to actually deliver your food in 20-40 minutes not over 2 hours. EDIT: Just noticed by other reviews that this is common, that it can take 2 hours... what is worrying is, has that food been sitting in a car for that time?? I did ask the question nd they said no, but as they lied to me twice already I dont believe them. Avoid and go elsewhere, there are plenty of VERY good indian akeaways in the area, use them instead.

I'm a regular of The Miah, hands down best curry for a very big radius! Their food is just of amazing quality, so tasty and original. It is definitely not just a bog standard, get the orders out of the door place. The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. Suffice to say this place has been around for years, in an area where a new restaurant can appear and 6 months later it's boarded up! Their loyal customer base proves quality.

After moving from Birmingham to Tamworth we haven’t found an Indian takeaway that we thought was any good. Miah was recommended to us, and we tried it on Saturday. Food arrived earlier than expected, Chicken Madras was a perfect just the way I like it. Keema naan has meat to the edges and not just in the middle!! Chips were crispy and not soggy. Overall so chuffed.

The Miah was amazing. Not expensive and mega tasty. The service was good and very friendly. Can’t wait to go again for some chicken tikka - it’s well good!

I’m not afraid to admit that I’m quite fussy. Curry is my favourite food and there is nothing more disappointing then being given food that doesn’t meet your expectations. I’ve ordered takeaway from The Miah several times now and the food is always fresh and delicious. The food smells and tastes amazing, with generous pieces of meat cooked and spiced to perfection. The flavour is always well balanced,never once have I had a meal that feels like it has been rushed or had a load of chilli chucked in, in a attempt to convince me it is flavoured like I have had at many places. I will never order from anywhere else in Tamworth now as I’ve not tried anywhere else that’s in the same league. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Eat In or take away really nice food price was really good staff are friendly and on the ball, place is a bit small and music was on repeat listen to the same song about 9 times but still was a good atmosphere when with friends

Went to this restaurant on Saturday 14th April to celebrate my husbands birthday we had a table of 18 booked, the staff could not do enough for us, all the food came out together and it was superb. Will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

Being a bit of a wet night decided to stay nearby to wetherspoons and try the closest Indian restaurant. We'll what a find. Small and compact but nice friendly welcome great food and portions a day reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend this one and will be back very soon.

The food is brilliant,,,, but when you have a takeaway they miss out items on your order. No Bhajis , no breads and no chicken tikka in the chicken tikka, potato and mushroom madras ??? . A bit disappointing and too late to ring and get the missed item delivered as the meal would go cold . Miah sort this problem out .

We had a lovely meal last night and were made to feelvery welcome , although we were the only people in at 6.30 . The food was very fresh and hot and I tried the chicken Sylheti which was really tangy .and the naan bread was lovely too . The restauyrant is tucked away behind Dreams , but it is a great find and we will certainly be returning .

Went here with friends for an evening meal. The staff were very friendly and attentive they bent over backwards the service was ace considering its under new management we placed our orders straight away and the food came sizzling hot the four courses was delicious friends who had never been before enjoyed the entire meal and we will definitely be returning very soon.

Called two nights in a row due to the standard of the food on the first night. The onion bhajis were crisp on the outside but soft inside. The main meals on both occasions were cooked beautifully and the portion sizes of the starters, main meals and side dishes were large. Free poppadoms with salad and yogurt sauce were also a nice touch. I will certainly call again if I am back in the area.

Great little find, we went here after an early visit to the cinema and although we were the only diners in on a Monday night the food was excellent. The service was, as you would expect, second to none and unobtrusive which was very welcome considering we were the only diners. Having said that there were several take away orders collected. Possibly one of the nicest Indian restaurants for food I have visited and it certainly will not be the last time I visit.

Ambos estaban muy sabrosos platos de curry y el pan de ajo naan era realmente bueno. Tuvimos el vino tinto de la casa, que no estaba demasiado mal. Visited the Miah back in September with a few friends. Got to be honest there's nothing really good or bad it's just sort of there and does what it does. The food is ok and the drinks aren't priced to bad. The place could do with some decoration and cleaning if I'm honest. The carpet on the stairs is filthy and the paintwork is in need of some attention.There are better restaurants in Tamworth, so don't rush to get to the Miah.

We went in with family for a eat-in. Place is just about ok. But service was too slow and not in shape. Orders delayed so much that we spent over 2 hours though we went early evening.Food is not the nicest I have had. We were visitors to Tamworth and so cannot compare it with rest others there. But biryani was pathetic and the curry sauce made me nauseous.Will never visit again.

Not often I post on here but had to mention our family visit here after visiting Drayton Manor and staying over in Tamworth, the food was outstanding and I know my curries, just as outstanding was the hospitality bestowed upon the little fella by the proprietor, second to none and a great evening. wow what can i say now under new management this is my 3rd time in 2 weeks the food was excellent very good portions friendly attentive service. recommend tandoori special or curry chicken chilli massala as a family it was all very good and very good value at £8.95 sunday to thursday & £10.95 friday & saturday highly recommend regards david

Used to rate this take away but over the past few occasions I can honestly say disappointment is an understatement! Not sure if the chef has changed but the same choices look completely different. Chicken dish tasted nothing like or looked like it should and a lamb dish was full of fatty chewy bits. I understand all take aways can have a random bad day but 3! Definitely not like it was 6 months ago! Won't be going back that's for sure!!!

Visited this restaurant last week with work colleagues and I have to say what a great meal we all had. Decor in the place was a little tired and dated but when we got passed this we had a very enjoyable evening. I have tried several curry houses in the Tamworth area this was the best by far. Meals were very tasty, portion size was excellent, staff were friendly and prices were very reasonable. There were five of us in our party and we are all looking forward to coming back soon.

This is one of the longest standing curry houses in Tamworth and they consistently deliver good food that is very tasty and very reasonably priced.One thing is a guarantee you will never go home hungry from this restaurant.All traditional favourites are on the menu so curry fans wont be disappointed and the Miah special is a very very tasty dish which I would recommend.

This is the best curry house in Tamworth. It's a shame they don't do delivery but it's worth heading out for! The portions are generous offering great value for money and the texture is delicious and thick as opposed to some horrible ones where water forms on your plate. This is by far the best Indian in tamworth. The food is truly 2nd to none. I hv tried all Indians in tamworth but they don't come close to the food here. The food is fantastic . And I am very fussy .
