Had a lovely time! Food ok! Nann bread for all of us not too good! Staff great and lovely atmosphere!

Ordered takeout £15 popadom , chutney , lamb starter , sag peneer main , cheese naan and special egg rice . Delivery came hot and was tasty.

Delicious and authentic food. Great choice. Super friendly and attentive staff who made the evening so enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Really bad takeaway very dissapointed tasted like water and really didn’t enjoy the meal first time ordering from there and it will be the lasti think you need to take a leaf out of the four counties restaurant they are really good

Headed in with a small group, not licensed so we came back with alcohol, but the food is good 8/10, naans were so good, full with garlic and they also have offers available and an upstairs too

Reading the reviews before visiting, Monsoon was full of promise. I’m not sure if we caught it at a bad time but there were some bad points that I thought I wanted to highlight. Firstly , the staff were friendly, lovely waiter very polite. Portion size, very small onion bhaji starter for the money, and with no yogurt mint dip or mango offered, just a teaspoon on the plate. Strangely they served the curry straight onto the plate from the kitchen, rather than a dish to be served table side or by us ourselves … never had that before .. and the biggest issue was the severe lack of meat, I think I had about half a chicken breast quantity wise but some meat was clearly thigh. With competition so strong, you’ve got to up you’re game. I’d recommend going to other Indian restaurants and see how service styles and quantities differ.

Lovely surroundings, staff welcoming and friendly. The food was superb, the chef's special was sublime as was the mango lassi he made specially for me. Would highly recommend.

The service was terrible. We had a party of 23 and I confirmed numbers 5 days prior to us dining. When we arrived the waiter asked if anyone had dropped out as he only set up for 16 people, we said it was still 23 people. I was aware that we would be on 2 separate tables next to each other as I confirmed that when I made the booking and confirmed the booking. He then took our order, and shouted at the top of his voice " if you are not all ready I am going to take your order". I said we are all ready and can he take the order from one end of the table and to work his way down. It went from bad to worse after that. When we arrived at the top of the restaurant the heating wasn't on and it was freezing, we had to ask for the heating to be put on, then he moved the portable heater after a few minutes. Then the ladies toilet was broken so had to queue for the mens toilet. We then asked for the bill and to our shock he had hand written a bill on a scrap of paper trying to charge us for service charge and a cleaning charge totalling £80.00 which we made him take it off. This was a 70th birthday celebration for my husband and some of his family came as far as Brighton. And I was so apologetic to them as we have used this restaurant many times in the past also for regular takeaways. We did complain to the manager who apologise and said he will take 25% off our next takeaway but unfortunately we won't be coming back or ordering another takeaway from this restaurant. The only plus side was the food which was excellent

We had a large table booked for a special birthday last night (saturday), on arriving they had only set up for 16 people and we were told the reason for this is because they were waiting to see if anyone had dropped out (we had actually confirmed numbers the week before as there were 23 of us). We were seated upstairs on separate tables, which was ok as this was previously explained to us (and we were going to seat the children on the smaller table) but when we attached another table of 2 to it we were questioned by the staff (man in a blue shirt) as to why we were doing that, as we explained we had children that needed to be sat next to their parents, we got the feeling they wanted to seat as many people up there as possible to get the revenue, even though we hadn't sorted our table out yet. When it came to ordering we were told if we're not ready to order then they won't be taking our order (again by man i blue shirt,this staff member clearlyhad some sort of attitude) , considering the table wasn't sorted and we were a large party this was a bit of a liberty to be told that. Food was ok, plates took ages to bedtakwn away. Upon asking for the bill they had added a service and cleaning charge, which normally wouldn't have been a problem, had we had a good service which we clearly didn't (I don't know where the cleaning charge came from, apart from clearing the table, which we had to ask them to do, there was nothing else to do). So we asked for this to be taken off. Apart from all of that it was absolutely freezing cold upstairs, given that they knew we were up there they should have sorted the heating before we got there, which they didn't. We're regular customers of monsoon and very disappointed in what should have been an excellent night celebrating.

We have been disappointed recently with some restaurants cutting down on quality and quantity of meals but this certainly isn’t one of them. Well presented tasty food at a great price cooked how we asked for. No skimping on portion sizes and food packed with flavour, with great service.

I really wish Indian restaurants would say if there meat is halal or not, as if it is halal I would never eat there

A visit on a busy Saturday evening, and didn't wait too long for our order to arrive. The food was fine, no one in the group had a bad meal, but I wouldn't say amazing. A safe choice. Monsoon is unlicensed, and choice of soft drinks is limited.

3rd time here, all the way from Cov for a curry. Nice. Resturant in the town, really only a short walk from anywhere. It's clean, tidy and very comfortable inside. Had starters, for the main a lamb dish and a chicken. Fresh rice and a fresh Naan. Why accept bread that was cooked before. Meals were very tasty. Not more than you couldn't eat. Loved it there, cheers. Price was only £25. Decent. Packed in the early evening, all the time.

Rubbish curry house no meat in curry to hot

Lovely meal, staff were great, not too crowded but enough for a good atmosphere. They offer a meal deal every day and you take your own alcohol so the prices are good. I would recommend this restaurant. A special mention to the waiter Numi, who was fabulous.

Worst curry in tamworth! Cheese Naan and rice was hard, curry tasted like bland curry powder. Korma tasted like Chinese curry sauce!

Ordered a takeaway I ordered a korma but when it was delivered it was bright orange and spicy, we all know if you want a mild curry you have korma. I called they put me onto chef who tried to tell me if I didn't want it spicy I should have asked, but I'm 44 had plenty before which have never tasted awful and spicy, then tried to blame it on mushrooms I had added. Has put me off ever using them again waste of money as ended up in bin

Visit this place 3 to 4 times a year as part of a group. Its a BYO resturant so it makes it great value. Always a good meal and really good service. The staff really are superb. Its a bit worn out in places but that dosent effect the food. Chilli Chicken & Gosht Khybaar are my favoutites. Super tasty.

Great restraurant, a little busy but with the additional seating upstairs we were then presented a nice calm atmosphere. All staff were great, helpful and answered any questions we had. Food overall was very enjoyable and reasonably priced. Would recommend this location.

We recently had a Christmas party here for our football team. There were 22 people in our party, and service and food was brilliant. No mistakes on orders, friendly staff all at good price. 5 stars all round!

I have been using monsoon curry house for 30 years and it was the best curry in Tamworth, I was very disappointed with my curry tonight. Has the owners changed or is there a new chef

£15.95 set meal Clean restaurant, needs a bit of updating but the food is quality, I’ll be honest I know standards, if you want something good, order off contemporary courses. Naga was good and the murghi special was nice, 2 really different tastes then most places using same sauces. Will return.

Stayed locally for work and fancied a tasty curry. It's always hard when there's more than one with glowing reviews, especially when back home you have a favourite place that never disappoints. I opted to try Monsoon and boy was I glad I did! The food was 10/10 for everything! The Mr Nagah was sooooo tasty and the naan just ouzed cheese! The bhajis were so tasty too. Definitely give this place a try!

Con merchants and thief's advertised on Facebook air fryers for sale took money and never delivered. Money went into Monsoon Account unless Nationwide bank is wrong if you would like I will give you your account details. Please don't suggest that I am on drugs. How do you think that I have got your details? No reply now then? Still nothing from you?Perhaps time to speak to Trading Standards about this

Stumbled upon Monsoon after looking at a couple of other options. The service is excellent. The food is subtly different from other Indian meals but those subtle differences had a huge impact on our enjoyment. Fabulous that it is just a few doors down from a Fabulous real ale pub.

Best Indian food ever even been to India on holiday best food ever with a chef in our company. Service great staff so welcoming and attentive travelled 150 miles to see family couldn't have found a better place Can't recommend it enough definitely will come back

After a long day at Drayton Manor , found Monsoon for Indian meal for us, as a family of 4. It was fantastic !! Great find. Highly recommend. Great food, great portions and lovely staff.

First visit to this restaurant and also the last. Awful food and the service was terrible. Arrived on time for our reservation to be met with confusion about the time we’d booked - eventually a table was pointed at for us to sit at. Was hoping the food would be good - totally disappointed, none of us enjoyed our meals.

Saturday night slow service good food, sat upstairs with my uncle, clean place and 5/5 hygiene on the window. cheap but overbooked, saw tables refused.

We’re regular customers of Monsoon. On Saturday, we ordered a takeaway for delivery and were told we would have an hour wait - not a problem! Two hours later, our food had still not arrived. We drove to the restaurant (as the phone line was engaged for 30 minutes and our messages went unanswered on Facebook). On arriving to the restaurant we were told that our order had been forgotten and that they would give us a 50% discount. For us, loyal customers that had placed a large order, it wasn’t good enough. When we asked for a further reduction in price we were told the chef had health issues which was why the order was missed. We questioned how this was relevant as clearly everyone else in the restaurant had their food made with no issues. We were told we were being aggressive customers and the police were called. The police were very much on our side, in what was clearly an overreaction from Monsoon Staff as a result of their own terrible service. I appreciate weekends are busy, but we received not even as much as an apology. Our money was returned to us, but we are sorry to say that we will never order a takeaway from Monsoon again.

I have never ordered food from monsoon before and OMG!!! Absolutely first class incredible food I haven't tasted authentic Indian food like this since I left Birmingham 30 years ago. Well done Monsoon, thank you we will definitely be regular customers.

Another great Indian takeway, no complaints. There was Good portion of meat which a lot of other indians don't do to save money

Almost 2 hrs delivery! Called after 1 hr 10 after being told up to 1 hr delivery to be told driver had left will be with you within 5 mins! Ha ha really! Best being honest infuture ! Who wants tea for supper!

Indian cuisine mixed with a proper European flair. Very friendly & cool staff. Their Chicken Jhalfrezi is a must if you’re on a spicier side. If you’re a sweet tooth & would love to try Indian cuisine, then their Butter Chicken is the perfect choice.

Booked an early meal prior to cinema visit Sat at table and asked to take orders for food and drinks. Asked for a beer to be told “we only do soft drinks” when there is no mention on the website and the photo of the restaurant on the website says “Fully Licensed” a few people actually left at this but we drank our flat and lifeless coke served from a 2 litre bottle at high prices Only had popadom and main. Chutney trays already on tables and pickle looked watery and quite tasteless Mains came - my wife had a king prawn balti which was at best a starter size portion it was absolutely tiny. My chicken shashlick spice was tasteless and just hot spice so couldn’t eat it The waiter took away our dishes without enquiry then dropped a tray with hot microwave towels without again without talking. Service very poor as not once did anyone check in on us despite the place being quiet. Couldn’t recommend to anyone and won’t visit again Disappointed is a fairly mild title.

I’ve always ordered a takeaway from this place for £15 starter main rice and naan including free popadom and dips, anyways we came on Saturday without a booking and the manager sat us down prompt and explained to us about the fully booked restaurant and how they always will find a way to accommodate regulars… I can see why this place is busy, decor isn’t all that, but the meal deal and quality of food is actually good. My only problem would have to be the drinks as they are not licensed but would prefer to have a soft drinks menu ….see you next time

Visited this town centre on restaurant with my fellow out of “towners” . Seated and served drinks… order taken and eating popadoms within 10 mins upon entering, starters came out 10 mins after that (20mins) and then a brake of 10 mins, mains arrived nice and hot 10 mins after that (40 mins)… quickest service ever

I have not been here for years and as I remember the food is not as good as it was then. The restaurant was modern and pleasant with excellent modern Indian music and offered typically polite Indian service. Pickles were already other table so I ordered chapattis which were beautifully thin and crisp. For a starter I ate mixed kebab which was perfectly acceptable. My main course was lamb pasada, mixed vegetables tarka daal ans egg fried rice. The pasta came dished up on a plate with the rest in seperate dishes. I must say that I prefer everything to be served in dishes. In the absence if alcoholic beverages I drank a glass of extremely indifferent cola. In general I found the flavours to be rather odd. One piece of lamb was downright tough and the rest slightly chewy. The rice was acceptable and the vegetables and dual good. In the absence of desserts (!!!) I had coffee with cream. This was, overall, a disappointing meal.

Bargain meal deal. Poadom & chutney, Any starter, Any Main, Any Rice & Any Nan. All for £14. You really can't moan at those prices. Service was pleasant and friendly. The food that we ordered all tasted great and certainly filled us up.

I was here about a year ago and described everything as forgettable. Well, I shan’t forget this time. The fight which broke out at an adjacent table (absolutely not the fault of the restaurant) will linger long in the memory, As for the food, it was OK. Not good, not bad, but OK. Generous portions but each dish tasted the same. I thought last time I would probably not be back. Delete the word probably.

There are few traditional Bangladesh restaurants in Tamworth the monsoon gives. Great service, very good affordable prices. Its so very rare i order or eat Indian foods anywhere else in Tamworth. food is pretty dam good hard to get anything better. Thier traditional dishes are sublime, and customer service is at the forefront of their business. Highly recommended. Check the monsoon out whenever you can ppl!!

Cannot fault the food we had here, the children declared it the nicest curry they'd ever had. Good portion sizes, unobtrusive service and pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the final bill was. If we lived closer, we'd definitely be returning.

Very nice restaurant, over two floors. Clean tidy and contemporary. Food exactly what you would expect from an Indian restaurant, all the usual choices and few speciality dishes. We had the fixed 3 courses which was good value,.and more than we could eat to be honest. All meals were tasty and fairly well presented. We brought our own alcoholic drinks, but they do sell soft drinks. However, finding an outdoor nearby proved difficult! Not sure why the mint sauce was florescent yellow, though, personally I prefer to see it natural colour... (Forgot to take photos of our actual food)

Came here as a walk-in after visiting Drayton Manor them park. As we arrived at the restaurant, our 2 year old son fell asleep and we had to pull 2 chairs together so that we could lie him down and Bill who was serving us...

Best restaurant in Tamworth. Never had a bad meal. Very cheap. Service is excellent. Real authentic Bangladeshi/Indian cuisine. 10/10 can never go wrong
