The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Indian food

We have been to Elachi multiple times now. We love the food and the service is great! Biryani, Naga Chicken and railway beef are excellent. Decor is also very pleasant. Highly recommend.

I would rate this the best takeaway we had in our life time. The old owners wasn’t to great but the new owners brought it back to life. There is so much flavour in the food and it’s a really good price. The staff are kind and nice. I would recommend this to all my friends and family.

Booked a table for 8pm, we were seated at 8.10pm to a freshly cleaned table. That's the only good thing I can say about the experience. I must admit I was expecting Nepalese dishes, everything on the menu can be found at your local Indian restaurant. One dish, the Chicken Chilli and I quote from the menu, a touch of ketchup in gravy or dry. We had to ask for the menus, then we had to ask for our order to be taken. I then had to ask at 9.20pm,(an hour and twenty minutes after entering) if we were in fact going to be severed, 10minutes later our food arrived. During this time my friend had finished his drink, at no point did the waiter ask if he would like another one. The plates were cold, the food was so salty it was inedible, there was no spice to either curry and the naans were bland. The restaurant did not have any heating, when it was -2 degrees outside, guests were sat in coats or scarfs and hats. Back to the freshly cleaned table, due to the cold temperature it remained wet for twenty minutes. We were later informed the landlord was refurbishing the heating system that's why it was cold in the restaurant. I would never recommend this establishment to anyone.

We called at 5.40pm to place an order. They didn’t pickup for 45 mins of repeat calling. We eventually drove 8 minutes from our village to place our order in person at 6.30pm. (We really wanted a curry!) We were told the wait would be 45 mins. The phone rung repeatedly when I was was in there, being ignored. I arrived back to collect at 7.15, already a bit peeved that I was driving there for a second time. Deliveroo, this is not! My order came out at 8.20, pushing two hours since the original order. There were multiple others waiting in the tandoori house who were clearly experiencing a similar issue. No mention of a discount or free portion of anything, which might have appeased some frustrated customers. Also no updates through the process of how long I might be waiting, which should be straightforward. I would have cancelled, gone to wait in the pub, ordered a beer, or any other option better than sitting stewing on a hungry stomach. I arrived home and the curry was good. Everything seemed tasty and I couldn’t fault what I ended up with, but the process was ruined by the delay, and the lack of apparent empathy from staff who didn’t even reference that what we had experienced was unusual or disappointing. I bit my tongue and left without losing my sh*t.

Made our regular visit to Chilli’s and as always excellent service and great food. Kam and his team are very friendly, welcoming and professional. We’ve been very very many times and never had a poor meal or service in fact every visit is amazing. This is our regular go to restaurant locally especially with the very varied choices of dishes. The best Indian restaurant we know. Definitely recommend and will be returning

We had the best Indian takeaway here. The food was of excellent content (plenty of meat) and was piping hot. Won't bother going anywhere else in the future .

We ate at this restaurant last night. Both the food and service were great. The staff were attentive. Mother-in-law said it was the best Indian she had ever had. Will definitely return.

Great food. Just so tasty. My friend said it was the best curry he had ever had. Service was quick and friendly. We did pre order. Will be going again soon.

We visited for a take away yesterday and we were very impressed with menu and the way you could choose the level of spice to your taste for the vast majority of dishes. The food was delicious and flavoursome. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

Both main courses were incredibly sweet, the peshwari naan was filled with sugar. Very hard to eat. Something is wrong at Spice. Rice was fine, the plain naan was burnt. Very unsuccessful meal.

The best attentive staff, it’s like visiting old friends. Excellent food! I’m vegan and they prepared a special dish. Massive portions. I know they do takeaway but if always want to dine in as it’s not far off perfect!

I dined here with my friends for a meal, and the service was excellent! The manager, waitresses as well as other staff were very friendly. The music and vibe was really delightful, very relaxing. I have been to many Indian restaurants and might I say Alamin Tandori was by far my favourite. The food was really flavourful. It was finger-licking good! As well as the desserts. The prices are very reasonable as well! I highly recommend this restaurant!
