The Spice Lounge in Wolverhampton

Up from Cornwall for my son Andrew's 40th Birthday celebration with family. My son Jonathan and his wife are regulars. Superb food, impeccable service and not expensive. You can even bring your own wine ! How about opening a Spice Lounge in North Cornwall. Prices, quality and service just don't compare down here. Well done Geoff Lebbon

Had a fantastic meal, lovely, friendly, honest staff, havent been before but made to feel very welcome, will definitely be going again and would recommend to anyone, definitely 5* rating in my eyes.

This was the second time I have visited here. Can't fault it. Food is beautiful. Puddings are amazing! Definitely recommend.

Have been to this establishment with my family and friends so recommended this place as a work do for Christmas meal. We really enjoyed our night and they really did look after us very well. Vast shout out to Mr Rahman (Saj) and Mr Khan (Mabz) who were very attentive to all our requests and fitted all 25 of us. They also ensured we had a drink and wait times was not a issue. I went with a Chicken Madras, Masala chips and Keema cheese nan and everything was eaten. Me and the colleagues are already looking to book spice lounge again for next years Christmas do.

All round 5* must try, service was top tear booking was on time no complaints from me and my family well done spice lounge.

Visited Spice Lounge yesterday with a group of friends and had the best time. The service was really good and the food was absolutely delicious. My favourite was the fish pakoras and chicken tarka! 100% recommend :)

This has been my 3rd time at spice lounge, and every time it has been outstanding. The food and service ... one of the best. There was a big group of us in my recent visit, and the staff was very attentive and regularly asked us how our food was and if we needed anything. 100% would recommend.

We have been coming here for many years now and it never fails! On quality, quantity, service and value… Go on a Sunday or a Wednesday for a bargain 3 course meal for £10.99 and you won’t be disappointed. There is plenty of food which is probably the tastiest Asian cuisine around here. Great service. Great food. Great price. Hats off to these guys. They delivery every time. Please give it a try!!!

Amazing food and service from staff. Following government guidelines by having hand sanitisers located in the entrance and tables cleaned before being seated. Food was really nice and everyone was very nice

1) Service - Waiters were attentive - No complains 2) Drinks - Again - No complains - Although at one point I think we were sitting with empty glasses for around 20 minutes whilst eating 3) Small bite - I had poppadoms - No complains 4) Starter - I picked aloo chaat - The waiter did warn me that it is not what I think it is - Well.... I wish I had listened.... It was basically boiled baby potatoes or something sliced with bits of cucumber in sauce - NEVER seen this before and will NEVER want to again - Was not appetizing at all - I even asked the waiter if I still had to have it just by looking at it 5) Main - I had chilli paneer as a main - Don't know how they cooked this but was rubbery and TASTELESS - The sauce was way too sweet - I had 1 bite and sent the whole plate back 6) Sides - Ordered masala chips - Straight away, the chips had to be sent back with the request to have more masala because there was literally a sprinkle on top - Once tasting, after a few chips I thought the taste was familiar - PERI PERI SALT - Even the colour was the same - Either that or they've made the masala to look and taste exactly the same Lucky for me I guess, my bill was like £3/4 or something silly Overall - If you are a foodie who loves a good punjabi home style indian - I wouldn't recommend Sorry SPICE LOUNGE

Always loved this place staff am great and the food is lush and fresh. Never disapointed. Great atmosphere. Staff always happy to please and take time to talk to you,been comn here for years back since lockdown came with friends was a fantastic evening and food was outstanding. Food was late, curry was warm and chicken was dry. Chips soggy. Over all rubbish food and customer service when I called asking how long my food would be.

Twice ive opted for delivery from here and both times waited over an hour and half. No apology when you ring chasing the order. Food not hot when it does arrive. Very very poor delivery very service.

Visited the Spice Lounge last night a restaurant frequent regularly and I must say a big thanks to Sag and the staff for an excellent meal. It seems the food gets better every time we visit. I highly recommend the spice lounge to any Asian food connoisseur. Be back very soon.

We stayed in the upstairs room, 18 of us and we had a great time ,great food ,bring your own drinks ,never rushed us ,thanks lads for looking after us the Nolan party

The food is excellent everything from the starters to the main was served piping hot and was cooked from fresh .The service was attentive and too detail .We came from Warrington Cheshire to meet friends .I was also surprised with the cost .Well worth a visit.

Booked a table for four, and I would definitely book as it was busy when we arrived, staff greeted us and took us to our table, lovely modern , warm and comfortable resturant. Take your own drinks with you and they bring you any glasses you need, good menu and very reasonable prices, food was lovely and hot and good portions , atmosphere was great and we will definitely return, thanks for good service and food

the staff here are really friendly and helpful. Plenty of seats so booking is not usually needed. The food is always red hot and tasty and the sweets are so nicely put out on the plate. Always a pleasure to go there

Double date night here was stunning! I had a vindaloo which was beautiful and not on the menu either! Hubby had a rogan josh. Pudding was a mint choc dish. Super service so very friendly. 100% chance it returning! Never seen an indian full at 7pm! Thank you

We are regulars at this place,the food,the service hasn't changed at all. The tawa dishes are worth a try saj and his team have worked hard to make this a successful place

Walked in without having to make an appointment, the staff were pleasant well mannered and very welcoming. We were seated within minutes even though it was fairly busy. I wasn’t sure what I wanted so a member of staff helped me choose the appropriate dish after explaining what ingredients I wanted. The food came out in respectful amount of time and was absolutely delicious and I mean top notch, best curry I’ve had for a long time. I went with my other half and friends, there were eight of us all of our meals came at the same time and were delicious, it was the first time that I had been there but it certainly will not be the last, the cheese naan was to die for the best that I have ever had

We had a fabulous time. As there are not licensed we took our own alcohol but bought soft drinks from them. The food was great and the service was equally as good. We come here regularly as it is a very welcoming place. For 11 adults and 2 children,my husband paid £180.

Went New Year's Eve for pre evening meal table booked for 8.oopm when checked they said changed to two sittings so our table was 8.30 when we got there told could not have popadom till we had ordered so ordered at 8.45 by 10.00!we still had no food asked as we had other arrangements at 10.30 pm food came was not right one meal missing the other food was not nice I have never had salmon like it it was white so we left almost all of it staff were arguing not a good start to our evening so we paid the bill and left will not be using this restaurant again would not recommend it to anyone

Went with family New year's eve and was amazed how busy it was our table was ready on arrival we were straight away given menus and glasses,poppadums were served with dips mab's took our order also he recommended a dish murgh tawa which was amazing all the family enjoyed their meal also the atmosphere was fabulous we will definitely return.

Booked in here today and had the best chicken pakora starter I have ever had. Followed by a combination no 4 with loads of king prawns not the usual large prawns our first visit for a long time but we will be back very soon

In a nutshell this place is overpriced for shockingly crap food! The food hasn’t agreed with me at all, I am not going back here - the worst food I have ever had

So me and my kids decided we were gonna have a curry night....for the first time in a long while.....i just honestly say Spice Lounge did not disappoint.

This is our local restaurant and to be honest wouldn't go anywhere else the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly with warm welcoming staff who are always pleasant and polite and have a conversation and a laugh and joke with you which you and are always helpful to advise you on dishes if you ask and try to accommodate if they can .The food excellent to high standard and you Will not be disappointed. You can take your own beer has they only serve soft drinks. I can highly recommend spice lounge has you won't want to go anywhere else and prices are very reasonable.

Once again a quality takeaway from spice lounge, we are regular customers here both dining in and takeaways and we have never had a bad meal.

Being one of our many local Indian restaurants - and I walk past another 4 to get to Spice Lounge - it comes highly recommended. The menu is quite comprehensive and the staff friendly and helpful. If you want a little extra heat in a particular dish, they are happy to oblige. Set on one side of a dual carriageway between Wolverhampton and Willenhall, you would think that this would impact on how busy the place is, but you would be wrong - so best to book in advance if you can, especially on the "specials" nights (we love a bargain...)

Fuimos allí por primera vez con amigos, no es muy grande por dentro, pero me dijeron que tienen más arriba, el aparcamiento no es muy grande y no hay mucho espacio para aparcar en la calle, ya que está en una carretera de templo dule, el trabajo personal realmente duro comida realmente educado fue rápido recomiendo el pollo tandoori tan agradable! Buen tamaño de las porciones no demasiado grande ni demasiado pequeño. El lugar estaba limpio, el personal era bastante limpieza mesas tan pronto como personas a la izquierda, que era bueno, me voy a volver con mi marido.

Was not disappointed (changed name since last visited) staff very friendly. Special set meals £9.95 Sundays and Wednesdays. Asked for Chicken pathia sweet and sour done just how I like it. Will be going again

Tuberías calientes, buen servicio, y ya no hay licencia para ellos para servir bebidas, puede traer su propio. Un poco de "opción aburrida" pero el Pollo Tikka Masala es muy buena, llena de sabor. Lo recomiendo si estás en la zona

First time here with family , pleasant staff , clean table and cutlery , lovely food , nice decor , have had takeaway before Son loves this over other nearer takeaways .Price reasonable .Taking a group photo their staff happily took one of us all .My only area for improvment would be to give the outside of building a more inviting look .Because inside isnt what you see on outside ! Fabulous !

Great welcoming from the lads and was atmospheric throughout & to top it all off great food too, just think the place needs a couple or even one waitress as a lady myself would be nice. Keep it up will be visiting again soon!

£9 gets u a starter, main and either side or desert and poppadom with dips. Comfortable, friendly place. Has two floors. They also do takeout. Free car parking. No license so take ur own drink... Which I prefer as it's cheaper!!

Been here on a few occassions when visiting my brother in Wolverhampton. While this isn't the best balti in the West Midlands but it would be my first choice when I'm in Wolverhampton. This place is bring your own alcohol.The owner is very friendly as are the waiters.The food is quite nice and has lots of flavour which many in the Midlands (despite it's reputation) don't have. A couple of niggles about this place mind. The garlic naan while very nice doesn't need to be cut up in to smaller pieces. I would much prefer it was served how it's come out of the tandoor. The other minor niggle is the car park is a little rough and requires a little maintenance. There is a huge (blind) pot hole as you come out one of the exits which could potentially cause damage if the driver isn't careful.

Eaten here quite a few times, and ordered takeaway. For me, the food has been consistent. The staff are friendly, very obliging. It's not licensed to sell, so it's BYOB. Decor etc is clean, tidy and modern. Caters for large groups. Would recommend.

A great find that we keep returning time and time again. The staff are very friendly and presentable and make you feel welcome. The restaurant is clean and enough room between tables that you are not sitting on top of the next customers, the atmosphere is relaxing. If you enjoy Indian food you will love it here. The menu is varied and so far all the disses have been excellent (I'm working my way through the menu.) Children are welcome and there is a good children's menu. Excellent value for money.

Arrived around 08.20pm, not enough seats for our pre booked party of 18,welcome luke warm to say the least, for a customer services manager I give and expect excellent customer service. We sorted the lack of seating ourselves, had to retain a menu to bridge the gap between the rectangular and round table, repeatedly asked for sufficient cutlery for all, eventually a waiter grabbed cutlery from the trolley on it's way back to the kitchen, wiped them on a napkin and put them on our table! That's disgusting, had to raid an empty table in the end. Starters arrived around 40 minutes later, the main required patience...lots of patience...arrived 10.35pm, maybe wouldn't have minded if it was exceptional, it wasn't, it was bland food ,I have eaten poor, average ,good and excellent Indian food, this was the worst I have been served, we were offered complimentary tea and coffee but too little too late at 11.00pm we just wanted to leave. I think this restaurant is aimed at English people who don't know the difference between average food and quality food (serious lack of Asian customers), definitely won't go back, didn't help that the drunk guy with the foul mouth had to be spoken to by me rather than the staff even though there were children in the restaurant, maybe a destination if you have been to the pub and are hungry, a venue for an authentic meal or celebration, I think not. Could be good if the food improves significantly and service levels improve ten fold.

Great restaurant we frequent pretty much every fortnight. They offer not only good old traditional curries, but also a good selection of chef's specials with a twist. It is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) venue, so one does not have to break the bank to dine here.Try their chili chicken for a starter, and king prawn bhuna for main, and definitely ask for poppadoms before your meal as the sauces are delicious. Arabian rice and chili lemon pilau rice are good choices of side dishes.Service is fantastic, too - quick, efficient and very discreet. Came to eat here on a busy Saturday evening with a few work colleagues. Even though we hadn't booked they still fit us in which was very pleasing. Had visited a lot of restaurants in and around Willenhall previously, but this by far certainly answered the question of being the best in the midlands. All the staff were lovely and very accommodating. Definitely recommend the Gajur halwa for an appetizing desert to end the night!

Came to eat at The Spice Lounge with a few friends. Even on a busy Saturday evening, the service was impeccable. They made the food fit to my taste buds which was an added bonus. Would recommend to anyone. Definitely coming again!

Ate here with family. Mix of curries, dry dishes and english. Food took around 45 mins to come early on a Saturday, which gave us time to catch-up. Nice large restaurant, so plenty of room around the tables and not cramped. Spotlessly clean and the serving people every attentive. Food was really good - I opted for mixed tandoori main course - lamb was delicious. Lamb naga was also pretty good as well. Would have no problems in going back.

We dined here on Friday 25/09. There was 7 of us, we all loved the food and Service, We all had our drinks poured in every round and our table cleaned after each course. The Waiter ( Kieran) was really good, very polite and approachable, this my second visit there so far. Can't wait to Return.....

Do NOT judge this place by the exterior as you will miss out on a lovely meal at very reasonable prices. It looks tatty from the outside but the interior is really well done only complaint was that it was a little chilly but we had arrived as they opened so took a while to heat up. Myself and two friends came here on a Tuesday night it was really quiet but on a Wednesday and Sunday they do a two course meal for under ten pound!. We all had starters which was a really big portion and tasty we all had mains of various curries , garlic and peshwari naan and pilau rice. My friend commented that she had never had so much chicken in a curry before. The waiters were attentive without being intrusive and the bill was very reasonable with all our soft drinks as there is not alcohol served but you can take your own. We are all arranging to go back again as its perfect place to have a catch up and a curry !

I have visited here quite a few times with friends and family and love every time I go! The staff are friendly and helpful, the prices are decent and some days of the week theres a good offer on, and the foods great! We always eat all we can and love everything we have to eat there.

It is really nice in here. Beautiful food, good portions and the decor is gorgeous. Only problem would be the atmosphere.. It can be pretty quiet on weekday evenings. But we always go on valentines day.. They give the girl a rose and it's very romantic.

Have been here 4 times now in the last 2 -3 years and i have had amazing service. It deserves all the credit it gets. Food is fresh and always amazing. We had a my sisters hen on the second floor and was so impressed with the size of the area they give you for free. Would highly recommend this place. I cant wait to go again.

me and my wife go to spice lounge every week the atmosphere is great and relaxed the staff are pleasant and friendly and helpful the food is fantastic and good value for money you can take your own drinks as its not got a licensed bar.i love this place has you can chill out and not be rushed to have a meal like some restaurants do and staff always but themselves out to come and speak to you.i am spoilt for choice on the menu has all the food is great.this place has it all good food,friendly staff, and a great asmophere.

Last night curry with my girlfriend after the pub with family and friends went down a treat with one of the best curries we've had in the Black Country with really good and prompt service.The prices were very reasonable and the portion size were very good at the price.We'll worth a visit if you find yourselves in the area and you're a fan of a good late night curry like us!

Visited last night in a group of five. Excellent service and gorgeous food. Take your own booze as its not licenced. This makes it such a reasonably priced night out. Cost £15 each for two courses with extras like popadoms, rice, nan bread and coffee. Take away are equally lovely. Not the best car park for a popular restaurant. Never had a bad meal here or bad service. Lovely spacious layout inside. Definitely gonna keep going.

Two friends and I went to he Spice Lounge last Friday night. We had been recommended by a fiends to try it so we did. First impressions are a bit off putting as it is on the main A454 dual carriageway between Wolverhampton and Willenhall and can only be approached from Wolverhampton. The car park is cramped and it looks like it is always full as cars are parked on the front. On entry we were greeted and shown to a table. The table appeared to be clean and well presented There were a number of tables unoccupied. We asked if we could change to an empty table by the window but were told that that was already pre-booked. We realised that this table was never occupied throughout the whole of our meal there.We ordered poppadoms as a starter and three main courses, Mozo mixed meat dish comprising meat and meatballs in a sauce, a Chicken Korma and a Chicken Rogan Josh which I enjoy and use it as a benchmark for any curry restaurant I visit. Drinks were orange juice, lemonade and water.The food was very good and the service was reasonable given it was busy. we were asked if the food was satisfactory and did we want anything else. we declined, not because of the quality but we had other appointments to keep.If you want good food in good surroundings be prepared to pay over the odds for it as this was not cheap. The attitude of the staff showed that because we were not regulars we could be told something that appeared to be untrue.I for one will not be going there again.

As always a great experience. I took friends out to try aswell... I tried the Grill Lamb Stir Fry starter... fantastic lip smacking and then a Pangash Bhoona for my main... absolutely gorgeous delicate fish in a beautiful balanced flavour... WowMy friends also enjoyed what the had... Moza mix, tandoori tawa... sesame seed nan.I'll definitely be back and I'm sure my friends will be back aswell.Thanks a lot guys...job well done as usual

Me and my girlfreind had been planning to take my mom out for a special night on mothers day so we looked on trip adviser and noticed this restaurant which had some really good reviews, we booked a table for sunday for three.When we got there at 7pm it was packed but we was still recieved at the door with a smile and was seated to our table. we first ordered drinks and popadoms.we then ordered our main courses which was moza mix for myself, my girlfriend had mix shash bhoona and my mom ordered Tandoori king prawn main, for side dishes we had 2 spice lounge rices, 1 garlic nan and a sesame and honey nan. even though it was really busy we got our food within half an hour, the food was amazing probably the best indian food we've ever had, my mom really enjoyed it.The atmosphere was great, decor was nice, friendly service and amazing food will be back again and recommend to friends and family.

My partner and I went here last night, we have drive past many times so decided to give it a try. For a Friday night it was unusually quiet, only 5 or 6 tables were taken up. The restaurant was cold, to the point where i contemplated putting my coat back on. I had a fish starter which was delicious and something i have never tried before. I enjoyed my main meal, but i felt it could have benefitted from a bit more spice/flavour, Although my partner thoroughly enjoyed his curry and said it was one of the best he has had. I have to say the staff were friendly and attentive. Nothing to complain about, but nothing that would make me eager to return. Just an average Indian restaurant.

I booked a table here for Valentine's night after looking at the reviews on line, they had around 174 reviews, all good, so we had to try it for ourselves. When we arrived we were shown to our table and asked if we would like poppadoms and glasses for our drinks (this restaurant is unlicensed so we had to take our own booze, although when i rang to book the table, they informed me they had an extensive range of soft drinks available). We ordered poppadoms, starters and our mains all of which came out promptly with nice timed gaps in between. The portion sizes were fantastic value for money, we had hardly touched our mains as the starters were a decent amount of food, the manger came over to check if everything was ok and when we explained that it was just our eyes were bigger than belly's, he kindly had our food wrapped up to go. I can definately see why this place has a fanatstic reputation, the restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere, the staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was delicious and you got a lot for your money. This place is nice enough for your special occasions and cheap enough for a regular thing. I'm already planning my next visit.

This was my 2nd visit and it was just as good as the 1st. Nice relaxed atmosphere and good service, what more could you want. You must try the Paneer chilli it was the best starter I've had in a long time.

It was my first time visiting but I will definitely be going back. The starters were amazing, if you go try the chilli Paneer :) the mains were just as good, quite big portions and I had the garlic cheese nann, the cheesiest I've ever had!The interior is lovely too, open plan and your not packed in too tightly. The staff were very polite and gave you space to enjoy your meals. Just brilliant :)

Have to say, only my second visit to the Spice Lounge, and once again we had a great dinner. Starters... Fish pakoras, paneer chilli were delicious. For mains we had Lamb Naga, Salmon Shazan and a Chicken Curry... Very tasty...service was great too, very helpful waiters too. Planning our next trip now :)

As always fantastic ... Party of 12 on a Saturday night... we were a little late arriving, however staff were great and accommodated us. We had the the full works... Popadums, starters, mains and floater coffees to finish off... (No room for dessert unfortunately). Grilled lamb stir fry and the salmon shezan was amazing... must try for your own pleasure.Hats off to the chef and the whole team, well done chaps!!!
