Really bad probably the worst indian I've eaten tandoori is not tandoori it's coated in a sticky sauce manual sauce like water very disappointing

The food was abit bland had the chicken korma no taste at all the Nan bread wasn’t that fantastic either. There were 12 of us and we more or less agreed . Nice place though just food let it down sorry

It’s an average Indian restaurant, not the worst I’ve had, but definitely not among the best. The place is huge, but the decor feels very outdated. The staff uniforms could use a refresh. That being said, everyone was friendly enough, but overall, I found the experience a pretty boring. The restaurant has a lot of potential, but it really needs a complete revamp.

We celebrated a big birthday at Indigo with the family. There was a large group of us, including little children. The staff were very accommodating. Thank you to lovely Kez who went out of her way to make sure that we were all comfortable, arranging the cake and keeping on top of the kids spillages!

10/10 customer service & food. Always nice when staff remember your order. Love going to Indigo

Food is not very good, bland food. I wouldn't recommend this place to any of my friends, due to the lack of flavour in the dishes. Now off to get a Tesco meal deal 😔

currys where far to salty my wife could not eat hers took it home next day still bad so put it in bin will not be going back.

Best Indian restaurant in wolverhampton, Always fresh and tasty.

Lovely place for a curry, they have a tasting platter to try curry sauces with the poppadoms and try new ones you otherwise wouldn't go for. Meals are great tasting and plentiful, with a good range of drinks and wines. We tend to go as a large group and they always manage to accommodate us, we don't feel squeezed in as it's a large venue. The staff are friendly and attentive, you don't wait too long for service at all. Loads of parking on site if you're driving.

Loved the buffet! There was a variety of foods! Shoutout to the bartender Will for the amazing Cocktails!! Definitely wil be coming back!

Great food, as a vegetarian the choice was fabulous. Good variety of options. But meat eaters of course more than catered for. Service was excellent! Could not fault. Compliments go to Sim and Jassa front of house. Must be one of the best Indian restaurants there is in town.

We visited indigo for our annual Christmas party. Although the food was tremendous, I must say the cocktails were even better! Thank you to Will for your patience with our awkward requests and for making our drinks so quickly. The cocktails didn’t just go with the food—they made the whole night better. The Cairi Crush was hands-down my favourite . If you go to Indigo, you have to try it!

We were greeted with a lovely warm welcome when we arrived at indigo by Simran, We were shown to our booth which was a great space for the four of us, Main meal and sides were amazing as always, Service from Simran 10/10 Thank you so much

I have been visiting Indian restaurants for longer than I would like to admit, but this one WOW. A friend had invited us over to this place and I was blown away, the food, environment and service was absolutely amazing. I couldn't recommend this place any higher. Simply put if get the chance to go here then go. Thanks all again for a great night.

If you want the best indian food in Wolverhampton you have found it. Food was 10/10 Arun from Indigos service was exceptional and i would defo recommend this place to your friends and family Will be visiting again for sure!!

What a class spot for Indian food. I just had their Lamb Jalfrezi and it’s the perfect blend of flavour and spice. Highly recommended. Big thanks to Arun for being so hospitable.

Visited for my dads birthday on Saturday, amazing night, everyone loved the food and the staff can’t do enough for you! They even bought out a cake for my dads birthday. Thank you for a wonderful evening, we will definitely be back soon!

The food was really good, staff very polite and the manager went round and introduced himself which was a great touch to customer service. Thank you. It was our anniversary and our first time at the restaurant. We absolutely enjoyed ourselves.

We were quite disappointed with the overall experience here. We ordered a paneer tikka and chilli paneer with neither tasting like what is traditionally should taste like and further and was warm and not hot. The mains of saag, chana and paneer were equally disappointing lacking flavour. The masala chips were nice which was the only positive. Bad experience all round

I went into the restaurant and was greeted by a very friendly member of staff, I was accompanied by my wife and son, we were shown to a very nice table and we were asked what drinks we would like and they arrived very quickly, were given a menu, we were totally blown away with the amount of food on the menu plus a good choice of drinks, after ordering our food we waited and I was totally blown away with the amount of Lamb on my food container plus all of the salad, after looking at the size of Lamb I couldn't believe how big the meat was and after cutting the lamb I was totally blown about the taste. To cover the whole evening the staff were very helpful and the food was better than 5 stars, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Food and service not great. Gave us stale poppadoms to begin with. Had to send back. Keema naan came soggy, garlic naan full of big garlic chunks. And the punjabi lamb tasted bland. Took 15 minutes for our first drinks order to arrive. The second time round, staff got our drinks order wrong. Felt like staff were young and not trained properly. Did speak with the manager and he rectified by taking some money off the bill. Hence the 3 stars.

Came to celebrate a birthday meal here, and it was a 10/10 experience we couldn't of asked for a better service and most importantly better food, the dishes were all top quality and big portions, best sheek kebab iv had in a long time... all staff who were involved with our table was very friendly and very patient with us as we did have a large group, spitting the bill was a breeze because they put the orders down namedseparately ( not many places do this) will definitely return 💯🎉

Staff were pleasant and the environment is beautiful. We were rushed. Clearing poppadoms and condiments away before we had finished as main food was ready within 5 minutes of ordering it. Rice was undercooked with a crunchy texture. We were in there less than an hour with a bill just short of £100. Very disappointed and it was my birthday meal for the 4 of us. I’m afraid that we won’t be returning.

We were sat at 19:25 and didn’t receive our food until 8:45! So many members of staff stood around doing nothing, not even checking in on the table for drinks etc. After waiting for so long with poor excuses as to why our food wasn’t at the table yet, the food ended up being bland. Nail in the coffin was seeing that we were charged EIGHTEEN pounds for 12 poppadoms. Ridiculous prices for poor service and average food.

Three of us went for our friend's birthday meal, and we was not disappointed. The samosa starter with a spicy tomoto chick pea accompaniment was to die for. The main course was plentiful and tasty, with myself having chicken tikka masala, and my 2 friends having lamb biriani and a vegetable curry. There was so much, we got to take half of it home. The decor is contemporary with a nice relaxed vibe. We had a couple of servers who were both very professional and friendly. We didn't get the name of the handsome young man but the very lovely pretty young lady was Ty, both a credit to Indigo. We will be back!

Been here a few times but the last couple haven’t been the best which is a shame . Coke was flat and even when changed it was just the same , may be it was a big bottle and gone flat but quite expensive at 4.00 for a half of coke . Waiting quite a while to order and waited quite a while for popadoms , when they did come we had an extra one for waiting, but they were quite soft and stale . Curry was amazing but side dish was only lukewarm and nan breads could have been cooked a little more. Constantly asking if we wanted more drinks was an overkill , not sure if we will rush back

If you want good food in an environment with a good vibe and nice decor, this is the place. Do you have dietary requirements? They will have you covered, Amrik has very good knowledge of what ingredients are in most of the dishes which reassured me. I would recommend this restaurant, even to try. It would be hard to feel disappointed if you like this type of cuisine. It is surprisingly bigger inside than what it looks from the outside. There is enough staff to cope with the busy evenings so you aren't left playing candy crush on your phone while you wait to be seen.

What can i say ,,, absolutely excellent, food amazing , service excellent , our 1st time here , only got 1 name Grace who was superb , but all the team was all the girls and guys did so well , We had a table of 12 and all food came out at same time , no one out of my family moaned about anything , which is rare lol , will be back soon and much better than some closer to where we live , only 10 mins in car so see you all soon , very happy customer

I have been here several times with colleagues, but not for about 5 years. Took my husband for the first time this week, we were very impressed with the quality of the food which was delicious. The staff were all very friendly, helpful with advice and cheerful which really made the experience all the better. We will definitely return the next time we are in Wolverhampton.

We were delighted to find this fabulous Indian restaurant for our final evening in Wolverhampton. Indigo Restaurant was highly recommended and it is on the outskirts of the city. The restaurant was first class and the food was excellent. The staff were friendly and very efficient. We will definitely return next time we are in this area.

We went to Indigo Restaurant to celebrate my partner’s birthday. It was his first time, and he was blown away. The place is huge! I knew it was popular though, so made sure we booked a table. The decor is clean and well finished and the table cloths are pristine. We were greeted by friendly staff who took our order as soon as we were ready. Looking around, we could see hundreds of diners enjoying themselves, but we didn’t feel crowded at all. Our food arrived quickly, and it looked really inviting. We both had Dansak dishes. I had lamb and he had chicken. I can recommend them both, as we sampled each others - tasty, spicy, tender and truly delicious. The lemon rice is to die for too. A Keema nan and some Masala chips rounded out our meal. We like lager with our curries, and I was pleased to know they stocked a no alcohol one for me. Our host, Ashleigh, asked us if we were happy with our meal as we were dining, and I could see she was genuinely pleased at our enjoyment. If you have the room, try their lemon cheesecake too. It’s homemade by one of their staff and truly scrumptious. We will definitely be going again!

Have visited several times and this gem never disappoints. Recommend to my sister years ago and she’s still thanking me. Beautiful venue, professional well trained staff and of course, absolutely amazing food. Booked last minute on the day for our anniversary and they were very accommodating. Thank you to all the staff and chef that have successfully maintained their very high standard. We will visit again very soon.

Food was horrible the chicken tikka malsala tasted like powder and told us it must be a bad batch ? Bad batch so they don't make it there then done us a bitter chicken and told us it was not spicey I do not like much spice that was spice could not eat it at all . The staff all they do is stand and watch you so makes u uncomfortable really wasn't nice at all now I am feeling sick and had to go home to bed would give zero stars for food but does not allow you to

We’ve been to dinner here twice. Both times have been fantastic. The food is delicious and served promptly. Nothing is too much trouble. My husband and I arrived as the restaurant was closing. Mike and Jazz wouldn’t hear of us leaving and invited us in to dine despite the lateness. Really appreciate the team going the extra mile to accommodate us. Can’t wait to go back. (The Methi Lamb and keema naan, amazing)

Had a takeaway the sauces to the curry’s were delicious but unfortunately the chicken and prawns were overcooked to the point they weren’t really edible, the rice had so much cumin in it we could only eat a small amount of it as it was so strongly flavoured and one of the popadom sauces had a layer of mould on it which if I’m honest makes me question there hygiene practices I won’t be going back at £38 for two curry’s 1 rice with lots of cumin a naan and two popadoms with a pot of mould - shame as the flavours were bang on !

Indigo Restaurant Wolverhampton exceeded all expectations! The ambiance was charming, and the service was impeccable. The food was absolutely divine, like no other Indian I’ve ever had.The keema was perfectly spiced and packed with flavor (the best I’ve ever had) while the tikka masala was creamy and rich. If you're in the mood for authentic Indian cuisine that delights the senses, I’d recommend here. Tastes like home cooked Indian food but with the expert twist on it! Will definitely be back!

Ordered just a normal curry with egg fried rice, I don't even know what's in the rice or the sauce but it is horrible, poppadoms was also stale.

Another fab evening at Indigo… the staff were friendly welcoming and attentive.. and the food was fantastic…. Very generous portion’s that required a doggy bag!! The meal was hot, extremely flavoursome and served by a young gentleman who was knowledgeable about the menu and of course as ever the restaurant was spotless We are so lucky to have this excellent restaurant on our doorstep

First ever visit to Indigo and what a delightful experience. We were welcomed by very friendly staff and seated immediately. After a mishap with a spilled drink, staff couldn’t do enough to assist us and swiftly moved us to another table before ensuring everything was ok and we had all we required. We ordered our food, which came after a short wait. Food was absolutely delicious with generous portions. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful, big shout out to Arun who went above and beyond to make our visit a good one. We will definitely be returning. Many thanks to all x

Having read all the reviews we were really excited to try this place. Ordered a take away, it arrived unusually quick which was a slight red flag. The onion bhaji were thick and not cooked through. The chilli prawn starter was overcooked. We couldn't eat the main courses as the chicken didn't taste right... the Jalfrezi sauce was sweet and fragrant (strange) and the chicken tikka balti didn't really have any taste. Really disappointed 😞

The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were so accommodating! Our waiters name was Sim and she catered to our every need! The menu was large and descriptive. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

My husbands birthday Take away - ordered at 7.40pm . Finally got delivered at 9.20 pm . Called at 8.55 to check where food was / told 6 minutes away !! 1hr 20min wait - after being told it would be 45mins .. Chips. Oven chips - luke warm . Rice - not what we ordered . At this point at 9.30 i was past caring ..,, very disappointed to say the least

I agree with the reviews stating that Indigo isn't what it used to be. Our family considered this the best Indian in Wolverhampton for years, but it's pretty mediocre these days to be honest. The Jalfrezi tastes almost the same as the Bhuna which is almost the same as the Punjabi, as if everything is made from the same generic, bland-ish curry base. There's too much oil. The delivery bag was stained with oil, there was a thick layer of oil sitting on top of the curry which I had to scoop off, my plate was drenched in oil, my hands were covered in oil just from taking off the lid of the container, and when I came back for the rest the next day, another thick layer of oil had risen to the top again. I know that fat content is high in most Indian dishes but this was too much and not how Indigo used to be. Positives: lots of meat. There's easily enough for two people, or if you're single, two separate meals. The quality of the chips are good too. For now we're using Penn Tandoori on the Penn Road. There's less meat but the taste is far superior. But I'd be happy to try Indigo again in a couple of months to see if things have improved.
