We have eaten at this restaurant every time we travel through Brewood. The service has always been excellent and the food was up there with there very best. On our recent visit we found the service to be perfect however the meal lacked flavour and was not up to the standard that we have come to expect. The prices have rocketed and is by some margin the most expensive I have ever paid for an Indian meal. I doubt I shall be eating there again; it is just too expensive.

Thought we would visit, but like all places these days, I would like to see the menu online before visiting, to check prices and menu items - unfortunately you have to hand over all your personal details AND agree to be spammed by them just to read the menu online. Will be avoiding this place in the future.

I go here with family and friends and we are welcomed warmly. The food is always freshly cooked and very tasty and there is a wide choice.You can take your own drinks so it is good value night out. Everyone I have taken has been impressed with the food and service.

We have been going to the Curry Inn Brewood since 2008. It is by far a fantastic restaurant, food exceptionally good, and the staff and Manager are very friendly. We have taken many friends there over the years too.

We were a party of 5 on a busy Saturday evening - lovely food and attentive service- they don't have a licence so took our own wine and beer - glasses were provided immediately. Would recommend.

What a great find food was excellent especially the Tarka Dhal wow perfect blend of spices .Service was very attentive making you feel very special Thank you very much well worth the 15 mile journey will be retuning very soon

Have eaten in here around a year ago and had a fantastic curry. Take away Fri eve was very disappointing- bland and mass produced taste - has the inn changed hands? Can’t believe the difference:( very keen in cash!

We had high expectations when we arrived, as this place scores 4.7 out of 5 on Google. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the staff friendly. An added bonus was that we allowed to take our own wine. Several groups of local people were also enjoying the ambience here on what was a perfect midweek evening out.

We are local to the restaurant and thought we would give it a try as the reviews didn’t look too bad….. but where do I start ………….. We arrived a family of 6 (4 adults 2 children) one needing a high chair of which the waiter said the staff member with the cupboard key to get the high chair was running late as he had broke down. (We thought ok as long as he’s on route we would stay in the hope he wouldn’t be long) it also was very quiet and ghost town like as there was no atmosphere and no music (when we asked we got the same response I don’t have a key to the cupboard) We’re a family who love Coca Cola from the bottle rather than draft which they didn’t have so we all had to settle for something which wasn’t our first option!!! Our food stated to come out and the man who had broke down had arrived we knew this because the music finally came on … to which what perfect timing to be able to get the highchair to which his response was the highchair is broken 😡 We just carried on as at this point we were all really hungry…. It all seemed to be going smoothly until my other half found maggots in his meal 🥘 to which we all stopped eating and headed for the door When approaching the staff member to tell them about this matter they didn’t bat an eyelid (so makes me feel like it’s happened before) It doesn’t end there ….. I’m loading the children back into the car and I’ve got all the staff members stood at the front door of the restaurant shouting over to me to try and convince me that what we saw was in fact grains of rice (I’m sorry I know the difference between rice and maggots) The whole experience was horrible and we won’t be returning 0 stars from us !!!!!

Staff very uninterested, food good but overall was unimpressed. Didn’t help that I was asked to go to the local Spar to get cash to pay.

We arrived at The Curry Inn from our canal boat which we mored on the Shropshire Union Canal near The Bridge Inn. We were originally intending to have dinner at The Bridge Inn but found they had finished serving at 8pm. We walked 5 minutes to The Curry Inn and had a delicious meal for less than £10 a head (mix and match curries, sides and nans across 3 generations). The service was attentive, the restaurant spotless and although they weren't serving alcohol they said we could bring our own if we wanted. The Nan breads were truly out of this world and all dishes were cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend.

Went there to eat with friends. They were busy with a party around the corner in the restaurant but the service was still excellent and extremely friendly. Would definitely return. Super curry. Good value for money.

Excellent food, all explained by very knowledgable staff who will alter any menu item to your taste. Courteous & solicitous at all times, the management make everyone feel valued. Always busy at weekends with local people, showing its reputation for fine food is justified. Good value for tasty cuisine!

We usually go to the Curry Inn for our regular fix of Indian food. The dishes have never disappointed. The staff are always attentive. Prices are decent.

If you’re ever in need of a good tasty quality curry, packed with plenty of flavours, I would definitely recommend. If you like your curry extremely spicy like myself, I am still to have it here, still the curry still tastes amazing and a lot of house specialities which are worth checking out.

Me and my family are locals to this fantastic curry house The owner and workers are all wonderful with amazing personalities and great work ethic The food is top notch and can’t be faulted I recommend everyone to try this fab place !

Very welcoming and great hospitality. Food was amazing with a large selection on the menu. Reasonably priced with a good quality and standard of food. Definitely recommend if your in the area. I drive over 30 miles to get to it and would definately do it again just for the friendliness and great hospitality

What a fantastic experience this was!From arrival to when we left, we were treated to excellent service, a great meal, and personal attention - the meal was really good - we had the Indian menu, as did most of the couple of dozen folks in the restaurant, even though traditional English turkey etc. was available.Drinks were great too - free wine on arrival, wonderful Cobra beer & wine, plus complimentary coffee & mince pies. A really great Xmas meal, and what a bargain as well - only £35 each!!!- will be back next Christmas Day, so thanks to all of the staff for a wonderful day

Have been here with family & friends over the past couple of years - easily the most friendly and accommodating eatery in Brewood, really good value for money, and great service - we like it that much we are coming here for Christmas day - really looking forward to the Indian menu rather than boring English turkey that is also available (when in Rome..........etc.) - and what a bargain for only £35 as well - can't wait!

I've not been here for a good while so I was pleased to find that it's still as friendly as ever and the food was great too. The butter chicken was very smooth and tasty, the methi was superb and the naans light and fluffy.

About the seventh visit to this establishment. Sam was very welcoming as usual and the staff just as friendly. Beautifully fresh cooked food and quick to the table. Very good choice of starters and mains. Lovely atmosphere and definitely won't be my last visit....see you soon !!

The Curry Inn is a family favourite and we eat there regularity. Sam and his team and very friendly and the chefs make amazing food that’s reasonably priced. The restaurant was very busy when we went but service was still quick.

Tables for 6 way too small. Service not very attentive. We had to ask for menus, drinks etc.

Ordered chicken korma fried rice and peswari Nan Took nearly three quarters of an hour to cook The rice Nan and chicken were all good in flavour and texture Unfortunately the korma sauce was very runny

Visited recently with friends, staff were very welcoming and friendly. Food was delicious- we all ordered something different and everyone commented on how lovely the food was - will definitely be back

Booked a table for 10 friends & weren’t disappointed. The staff ensured we had a really good night with solicitous service & great food. Although we have been before, the standard is still very high & we have never had a bad meal, thus ensuring consistency.

I have had many meals in the Curry Inn, as part of a couple, in a medium sized group and in a large party at the "Charity Night" event. I have never had a poor meal, they have invariably been good to excellent, at reasonable prices. I would recommend this "Hidden Gem" to everyone. It is open every evening and also for Christmas Day lunch, which I have been assured by friends is excellent.

Set menu which comprised of poppadums and pickles, a mixed starter of different appetisers and then a nice chicken curry, with a mushroom side, rice and a freshly cooked naan bread of our choice, with extra curry sauce. It was delicious!

Very good curry at a very reasonable price. Cant really complain about anything other that the hallway and toilet area being very cold

Having been numerous times & never had a bad meal, it may seem vacuous to review it again; however this time we took friends who’ve never been before. They absolutely loved it! The menu is wide ranging & it accommodates those like me (diet, non spicy) right though to my husband (everything very spicy!)

Very good food would say a but spicy but if you want a mild all you have to do is ask and they will cook it anyway that you want it very local to me only 5 mind away think they will deliver but not to sure as u alway called in from work

The Curry Inn is a hidden gem nestled in Brewood, by the church. Sam welcomes all visitors and is an excellent maitre'd. The menu is diverse and they will always taper any dish to the individuals requirements - in fact the management couldn't be any more helpful.

My partner and I stopped into The Curry Inn last night and I'm happy to say it was a very nice experience! The manager made us feel welcome despite not having a reservation on a busy Saturday night.

We visit the restaurant for both take out and for a sit in meal regularly. The warm welcome my daughter of 3 and I get every visit is exceptional. The small things of a little treat for my daughter goes a long way and something she always remembers. This sets this restaurant well above any other in the village!

Great Indian food with some dishes on the menu which we had not experienced before.

Sampled starters, various main courses and naans/rice. Lovely meal in a clean and well lit restaurant. All cleaned our plates, felt very full and happy. Shame we were only passing whilst on holiday.

Living in Telford we struggled to find an Indian restaurant that offers consistent quality food, service and ambiance. There are plenty of good or average restaurants but few that really hit the spot. We are lovers of Indian food and were delighted when we discovered the little gem that is "The Curry Inn" in Brewood.We have been regular customers for over 2 years now and I can honestly say the service, quality of food and welcome we receive when visiting is consistently superb. I would personally recommend their delicious tandoori lamb chops or Prawn on Puree for starters and after sampling a number of dishes on the main course list they are all delicious. My wife who is vegetarian always raves about the Paneer Passanda.Always find the place good value for money and would recommend to anyone.

Back to the curry house brilliant food again warm and friendly staff can't praise it enough can't wait to return as it's such a lovely restaurant

We went here with family , 10 in total. The service was brilliant and there was a nice atmosphere.I had the chicken tikka naga and it was absolutely delicious . The chilli naan bread was also yummy. Couldn't fault any of it and will definitely be returning very soon .

My wife and I were travelling on the canal and stopped over in Brewood overnight. We decided that we would like to eat Indian food so we walked to this restaurant which was only 10 minutes from where we moored. We received a very friendly welcome from the staff and the food served was of excellent quality and very tasty. After we had finished the main course the service went down hill, it was as though the staff were no longer interested in us and in general with the few people that were left in the restaurant. It's such a pity that the evening ended that way.

This was our first visit, (Monday 10th) but it won't be our last, albeit we only pass through Brewood every 18 months or so. The food was exquisite and the service exemplary. I had resisted trying curried fish for a long time, but their starter of Tandoori Sea Bass has completely changed my mind.We now regard this restaurant as our favourite Indian. Well done all.

We are regular customers at The Curry Inn, mostly favouring take aways but now and again take time out to eat in the restaurant. This is a really good Indian restaurant, the food is always delicious, freshly cooked, with a wide choice of dishes. The service is always friendly and attentive, and staff are knowledgable about the food. The decor is lovely, light, bright and clean. This is a real Jewel in the village, and for our friends it was their first visit, don't think it will be the last though.

This was our first visit to the Curry Inn we visited on a Saturday night it was very busy so I was glad I booked a table. The food was very nice and not to expensive, the staff were all very pleasant and attentive. We shall definitely return.

Good tasty Indian food and very reasonable. Visited a few times and never been anything other than happy with everything. Recommend booking at weekends. Looking forward to our next visit already.

Went for meal here, have to say praise where praise is due. Food fabulous, service 100%, restaurant spotlessly clean and staff could not be more helpful. Would recommend The Curry House every time. Deserves a visit.

Went as group of four on Saturday night. Sat at table for around 15 minutes without any attention whilst waiter in background was setting a table (could this not have been done earlier?). The food ordered was good but persistent problems with service; example 2 ordered mix tandoori , when asked if we wanted mint sauce , another 10 minute wait and further prompting required, same with extra drinks and final bill. Pity, it's good food and pleasant owner but needs some attention to service, will go again but maybe early in week when lessbusy.

We have visited this restaurant many times over the last few years and have never had a bad experience. There is a great choice of dishes and it always taste great. The waiters are really friendly and make you feel welcome. The manager remembers your name and even recognises us when we call for a takeaway. Highly recommend this place.

On a previous visit to the village, 4 years ago, we passed this restaurant by. We were later told that it was very good. This time we gave it a go and were not disappointed. Although it was early we received a warm welcome and the choice of tables!!! The staff were friendly and helpful, the decor bright and clean and the food delicious. The menu had the usual dishes but there were also some we had not come across before and they were well worth trying.

4 of us went in on a Tuesday for my wife's birthday we were seated quickly and we were quite surprised on how many people were already eating on a Tuesday we ordered our food and some drinks and cheeky as I am I asked the manager if my wife could eat for free seeing as its her birthday he replied with we will see what we can do which I thought was fair our came and we scoffed the lot we went to pay and he knocked us 30% off the bill carnt get fairer than that so we would definitely eat here again

I know I live local to this restaurant but I travel to other asian/Indian venues but they very rarely taste better or are as consistant as here.

Last time we visited the decor was terrible, it's looking much better, cleaner other than the table clothes which were badly stained. Food tasty but not masses of it and very mild, will order something spicier next time.

We had been told that the Curry Inn had been refurbished and had a new extended dining area. Having given this restaurant high ratings on a previous visit, we were looking forward to a really good meal. However, we were seriously disappointed.I have to say that the new dining area looked good, and we welcomed the fact that the background music was Indian rather than globalised pop. However, the kitchen seemed to lack the needed ingredients. When I asked for raita, the waiter said he would ask the chef, and then reported back that they had no yoghurt to make it. As it happened, there was no need for raita, since the food was somewhat bland – I ordered a vegetable pathia, which was billed as moderately spiced and fairly hot, but had really no hint of chillies or other spices.When we finished our main course we asked to see the menu again. The waiter asked if this was for desserts, and informed us that there weren’t any. We don’t know whether coffee was available – we didn’t ask, and neither did the waiter. At no point did any of the staff ask if our meal was all right and they seemed somewhat disengaged. This contrasted considerably with our previous visits, when the waiters were extremely friendly and helpful.When another pair of customers arrived, they were placed at an adjacent table, despite the fact that there was ample room in the dining area and no other diners around. Fortunately they were not noisy, but one would have expected staff to spread diners out in the interests of peace and privacy.I was allowed to take away the portion of the meal which I had not eaten. On arrival home, however, I discovered that the staff had squashed the paratha and naan to the same container as the curry, making the breads somewhat soggy! I added a chilli or two of our own to the pathia, which was an improvement – it was edible although not great.

For whatever reason I decided to opt out of having traditional indian cuisine the night we came here and ended up ordering the chips and chicken which was a mistake as the chicken tasted and looked like cheap oven nuggets.

The food when it arrived was nice, my partner ordered tandoori chicken but it was not served with the usual salad and they did not provide any mint sauce but even when he asked for the yoghurty mint sauce they brought something completely different and where a bit irritated that he asked, they never brought the rice to go with my grandaughters chicken curry and when we told them she still had to wait ages presumably while they cooked it. We waited so long for our main course we decided not to bother ordering a sweet. The food was OK but the service was slow.

I'm not a massive Indian food fan, I find it very much the same, this is the only place I will go. The food is beyond good. The welcome you get is always friendly and they always remember your face. If you want anything changing in your dish they are happy to do it for you. I've visited here on many occasions, either as a couple or large parties and I've never heard one bad remark about the food. Great job by all

We have had many meals both in the Curry Inn, and also as take-away meals. They are always very good quality and Sam and his team provide an excellent level of customer service. We regard The Curry Inn as an important asset in our Village.

We went with friends and had a wonderful time. Everyone enjoyed there meals and I had the sizzling mixed main which had succulent tandoori flavours

The food was bland, my kids didn't like their Chicken Korma, they usually demolish it at our favorite restaurant, my wife's vegetable masala was made with poor quality frozen vegetables. I had Naga Tandoori Lamb, I struggled to chew the meat, it was ridiculously tough and it was just hot with no flavor, I should have complained. The poppadoms were slightly soft, saag bhaji oily. The food came out really quickly, so not much preparation in evidence. We have eaten in over 150 Indian restaurants, so we know a good one from a bad one, I can only think that all the good reviews here are from people who have never had truly good Indian food The waiters were like robots, we felt uncomfortable and couldn't wait to get out. We will never go there again.

To finish our canal boat holiday we had our last evening meal here. As per other reviews this restaurant is good, very good with modern decor, friendly service and delicious food. If I was being picky, the food could have been hotter - both temperature wise and spiciness - I'm not a fab of very hot curries but I would have expected my chicken bhuna to be more spicy.Still great and justifies the 5 star rating - go and you won't be disappointed.

Dropped in at short notice on a Friday night, very busy so we must have dropped lucky to get in. Excellent food full of flavour which Indian food sometimes lacks. Will most certainly return.

Visited recently on our way through Brewood on a barge hol.. ( what a pretty place) Came upon this place ..what a find!Brilliant service and warm welcome , and really excellent beautifully cooked food! We sampled plenty as the menu looked so good .. Sides,vegetables , mixed meat balti and sea bass.. All truly delicious.. Nothing soggy,nothing generic, each different and delicious.We love Indian food , and felt that this was the best that we 'd had.. Anywhere!

We first discovered this little gem nine years ago when it had just been taken over by its current owner. Since then we have made it a point to stop for one of their superb curries whenever we are passing through Brewood (Pronounced Brood) on our narrowboat. There is always a warm welcome and we are yet to find a curry house that can beat it. If you are ever in the area make sure you don't miss this little gem.

I use this Restaurant for meals with my wife, with friends or just the lads after a visit to the pub. We're always assured of a warm welcome. The staff cannot do enough for you. The food is fantastic, if there's something not on the menu that you like, just ask, they will accommodate your request.

When visiting Brewood recently, we decided to eat out for the night at the local Curry Inn.Restaurant has beautiful décor and the staff are such a nice and friendly group of people and are so welcoming. Food was excellent, I had the Chicken Korma and it was so creamy and delicious.Will definitely be returning again.

A large group of family and friends attended the Curry Inn Brewood for a Christmas meal. The food was exceptional as ever and the staff extremely friendly and efficient. Always a great experience.

Ok this is the local curry restaurant in the village, but tonight was very different in the fact that over the past two nights they put on a charity evening for the Macmillan Nurses which tested the service of the restaurant to the full.We were a party of ten . Not a seat to be had a complete sell out and boy did the staff work hard. A set menu in fairness but cooked to your individual liking plenty of check backs, always there ready to take a drink order nothing a problem regardless of the fact the restaurant was full.Brewood is a lovely village and one in some ways wouldn't expect a quality Indian restaurant based there. However there is oneWorth a trip and while your there walk 50 yards into the village square and have a beer at the Swan Pub. Enjoy your visit to Brewood

We've been to The Curry Inn several times since moving to England, and we always have a great meal. Tonight we attended a charity dinner for Cancer Research. Another great meal. We all had the Chicken Curry with Rice and Nan bread. We will be taking my sister there when she comes to visit in March!!

Third take away in the last week, all have been great, but tonight's was totally bosting. One day I'll eat in, and avoid the washing up. Cheers to all the staff!

Lovely food but terrible service. We had eaten our poppadums and were twiddling our thumbs for ages waiting for someone to take our order. When food arrived items were missing. After waiting to speak to a waiter told them to leave missing items as half the meal had been eaten. Requested bill and guess what no one bought it over. Commented at till about poor service and just got an acknowledgment no apology ! Shame as will travel to cafe India next time.

I've been coming to the Curry Inn for many years, Sam and his staff are very friendly and the place has benefited from a refurb recently. The food is fresh and reasonably priced - the chicken naga is my favourite - and the wine list is surprisingly good.

Have called in here a few times when moored up in Brewood. in the past food has been great and service good. However decor let it down a bit. Called in last night and decor upgraded to a high standard. TRy the Chicken chilli marsala =exdellent
