Wife and I visited The Miraj as part of our wedding anniversary meal. This was our first experience of the Miraj and certainly won't be our last. Excellent service from the moment we entered to us leaving. Food was absolutely top notch and piping hot. The place was absolutely spotless. The price of our meal was very reasonable. Recommended.

Discovered the Miraj via Google Maps and based on the reviews decided to pay a visit. Very nice venue, service was excellent, and the food is top notch. Highly recommendable, will be visiting again soon 👍

At first, I thought it was a bit expensive, but it's one of the best Indians I've had so well worth the money

We tried to use vouchers which was brought from friends for my husbands birthday which was purchased on 31st October 2023 so on the 24th April 2024 we had a meal and drinks which was not itemised as we all no they add drinks on which you haven't purchased (beware it happens often) so bill came £183.50 paid £40 in vouchers then made it up to £190 to be be littered your vouchers are invalid 3 months even when brought no date on there

We have been dining at this restaurant for over a year now. We have brought along all of our family and lots of our friends. The service is incredible, nothing is too much trouble for James, Kay and the team. The quality of the food is always spot on and presented beautifully. We rate this restaurant so much that we attended last night with a party of 16 for my daughter’s birthday and will be attending again tonight with another party of 12 to continue the celebrations. Everyone that has dined with us have been more than impressed with the restaurant and have all commented on how lovely the staff are. 5 stars all round.

Had a fabulous tiger prawn dish and lamb chop bhuna, very tasty and the service was fabulous . I would rate this 10/10 and thoroughly recommend anyone to try this restaurant

We went with a group of 7, midweek for a meal with friends. Table booked for 7pm and we arrived bang on time, well 2 minutes early in truth. The restaurant was busy but in no way full. We were seated promptly but waited nearly 20 minutes for a waiter to arrive in order to take a drinks order which then took another nearly 15 minutes to arrive! so its 25 to eight and haven't even ordered a starter!! Gave it another 5 mins and asked a waiter walking past if we could please order, he then said the waiter who took the drinks order would be back, anther 10 minutes and we finally get to order! The restaurant do a Special Set Menu offer (Sun, Tue & Wed) for £11.95 but is very limited and does not include any dry Tandoori dishes which are preferred for those watching their waistlines, as we were in a group, from the off we advised the waiter there would be 3 bills as some were drinking and some not, as well as some ordering from the main menu and not the special offer menu, this seemed fine with the waiter. My wife and I chose to order from the main menu, we had starters and mains as well as Poppadoms. In respect to the food, I chose the the Mix Starter, which whilst very nice in flavour and presentation I feel was a little overpriced at £5.50 for 2 small pieces of Chicken Tikka, 2 small pieces of lamb Tikka and a smallish Seekh kebab. My wife chose the Nargis kebab which seemed slightly better value at £4.95 but was clearly not freshly prepared as had a very 'grey' and dry yolk in the egg, but she said the minced kabab coating was very nice. For mains I chose the Special Biryani at £13.95 and my wife chose the Tandoori Chicken Main at £9.95. The 'Special' Biryani was described on the menu as 'Mixture of chicken, lamb, prawn and king prawn (1) garnished with an omelette on top' however what I was served included no prawns at all, though did include the stated (1) "King prawn'! this was quite a disappointment as I did expect at least some prawns in the dish and to be honest the chicken and lamb in the dish were though nicely spiced and tasty were 'very' small pieces and very very dry meat! The accompanying 'Vegetable Curry sauce' was quite a small portion and very bland, with very very soft vegetables which to be quite honest looked to be a spoonful of frozen mixed veg thrown into a basic curry gravy, and when arriving on the table was actually only Luke warm, overall not very impressed! On the up side the rice in the Biryani was nicely seasoned and spiced and did taste very nice. Overall it was not really what you could call a "Special" Biryani!! The Tandoori Chicken main which my wife was served, though brought to the table on a 'sizzle' platter with a bed of onions from their appearance had clearly not been freshly cooked in a Tandoor, and consisted of 2 tandoori chicken legs which I guess had been reheated in a microwave and then placed on top of the onions on the platter. It was OK but really nothing to write home about, at £9.95 for the meal I don't feel its unreasonable to expect at least 1 breast portion and 1 leg portion of Tandoori chicken which have been freshly cooked in a Tandoor. We also ordered 2 Keema & Garlic Naan breads, these were actually excellent and very nicely cooked as well as having a decent amount of keema filling and nice amount of garlic, so a thumbs up for those. When the main dishes did arrive at the table we had a random portion of chips arrive which no one had ordered and caused some consternation with the waiters, running back and forth checking the order slips and eventually agreeing that no one had actually ordered chips! though it never appeared on our bill I wonder if someone else in our group of 3 bills paid for it! Drinks! Well you do expect restaurant prices however £13.95 for 2 large diet cokes and 1 glass of basic House Merlot I do feel is a bit steep for Great Wyrley! also friends were drinking pints of Cobra which are NOT cheap so be careful as a few pints of these will easily be double your food bill! It is important to note that Poppadoms are NOT included in the 'Special Set Menu' and at £6.20 for 4 and a quite small tray of dips will quickly add to you bill if you are not aware. On finishing our meal and whilst paying bills we were offered a 'complimentary' Brandy or Baileys, which was a nice touch, 5 chose to have a Baileys however it was not actually 'Bailey's' but 'Irish Cream' (a very cheap alternative) served with ice in a very small shot glass... so a nice attempt at good hosting however fell quite short of the mark. Overall the meal was OK, but not really up to the quality which seems to be reported in other reviews and for a midweek meal out with quite limited drinks I do feel £62.50 for 2 of us was a little overpriced, service was slow, in fact very slow and the waiters were not very attentive at all, I feel they were maybe under staffed even for a weekday evening, we left the restaurant just after 9:40pm. I would certainly not consider returning on a busy evening such as a Friday or Saturday. For those looking for a 'Special Offer' midweek meal to help to with the rises in cost of living then be very aware of what is and is not included as the £11.95 headline price as the bill can easily be doubled by simple additions! On a final point I was quite disappointed there was lots of 'Covid' related posters, floor stickers, reminders to stand 2M apart and hand sanitisation stations still in evidence, maybe this will not bother some people but I feel its now nearly 2 years since all of the restrictions of Covid were lifted and these should have been removed long since! Makes one wonder what the cleaning regimes are like if bottles of hand sanitiser have been hanging around for all this time!

Warm welcome by James and the guys, excellent tasty food, reasonably priced, Bombay cycle pale ale was a great alternative to lager. We had a fantastic evening and will recommend to all of our friends.

James and the team were polite , friendly and made us very welcome. It was our first visit but we will definitely be back. The food was excellent, we had 2 chicken shaslik bhoonas and a kays special dish all excellent. I asked for mine to be slightly hot, a little too hot for me ( my own fault), next time I will have it as it comes. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent food what ' s not to love. Thanks guys, we will definitely be back.

We went as a group of 8 for a birthday. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and sat in a long table, they are licensed and have a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available. We ate off the set menu and there is a good choice of starters and mains that we could all easily pick off the set menu. The food was great, tasty and quickly served. The staff are friendly and helpful and able to make suggestions of you are not sure or want to try something new and different 👍 We have been before and will go again

Absolutely brilliant place. I went there with my family as my dad and brother have been there before. Immediately greeted them by name and stood and spoke to us. The food is the nicest curry I've ever had. Perfect heat level and naans were beautifully cooked.

Hands down this is the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. Beautiful food, reasonably priced, and lovely attentive staff who are also brilliant with our 3 young children. We've been several times and intend to go several more times in the future! Can't recommend enough 👍

Been there several times but tonight we were really disappointed with both service & quality of food.. When told our waiter he just wasn't interested so will think again before we return.. 3 out of our 4 meals were very poor

I camt to this place on a recommendation from my brother in law , its decor is lovely , clean , and fresh looking , the staff are great and friendly . James and his team made us really welcome although we hadn't booked he found us a table , we ordered ou drinks and was given the menus a good choice of food and thy do English dishes aswell we ordered starters which were delicious and well presented and then our mains with chips and naan bread , we even had puddings which we dont normally have .The staff came and checked on us through out our stay at the restaurant asking if we needed anything else which I thought was a nice touch . In total for 2 adults and a child £76 which I thought was great value considering we had starters mains puddings and drinks would highly recommend this curry house and will definitely be going back

We have visited this restaurant 4 times in 6 weeks. The staff are extremely welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Each Meal has been superb, beautifully cooked and well presented. The valentines special was excellent value for money. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again soon.

We have just had a valentines meal and it was beautiful as always, the miraj is our favourite date night destination we really enjoy every time we go the food is 5*+, and the staff are so friendly and accommodating nothing is too much trouble for them and they topped off our evening with chocolates and a nice rose how lovely 🥰 Person centred approach to guests love it there definitely go you won’t regret it ♥️ Thanks holly :)

Regular customers at the Miraj. The impeccable service from everyone of the guys here is second to none. You are made to feel very special on every visit and that service keeps us coming back. Not to mention the amazing food on offer, I have never had a bad dish from the Miraj. It’s secured top spot as our favourite place to eat out. A truly excellent restaurant.

2 hours before it was delivered nothing to brag about cold and bland won't be ordering again I'll stick with bombai kitchen

A great experience at The miraj - the food, the service, staff and atmosphere was electric, but a big thumbs up to James, he made us an exemplary cup of coffee. It was so nice we all had 2 each. Great stuff.

Didn't have a great experience here on new year's eve, when we got there and it was a set menu (no mention on their website or when I phoned to book) with a very limited selection for £27 (in hindsight we should of turned around and left) Food was average, felt they just made big batches of food and reheated it when needed as it was a set menu 3 members of the party didn't have anything from the set menu (2 young children shared a chicken nugget meal and 1 other had an omelette meal) the staff kindly agreed to make these One other member of the party was a diabetic and the currys on the set menu all had sauces, she asked if she could have another dish (dry dish) and again they kindly agreed So far not a terrible experience but not great The worst part was when the bill came, they tried to charge us the full price for the set menu plus the additional cost of the dry dish which was ordered as a replacement for one on the set menu. When we questioned this they didn't acknowledge their mistake but told us its correct, one set menu price per person and additionals are extra, obviously we rejected this, we weren't going to pay for food we didn't have, they were very persisted that they were right and had to pay, at one point there were 3 of them round us all backing each other up, it was quite intimating, we stood our ground and felt everyone in the restaurant was looking at us but in the end they reluctantly backed down and took the additional dish off the bill and we paid for what we had, a very upsetting experience and not one you want when you go for a meal with family on NYE. Obviously from our experience we won't be going their again

Wow my Fiancée and I have been up and down the country trying Indian cuisine and we are shocked to find the best indian food we have ever endured is here, the staff are attentive the drinks are brilliant, the food is the best if you don't visit this restaurant you will be missing out the food is so light like you have never tried the taste between dishes is phenomenal please visit this restaurant needs recognition

Really disappointed. Had a meal in a few months ago which was lovely. Then we have had 3 take aways since then, 1st one was lovely, second one was mediocre but tonight the 3rd was not good at all. 6 small pieces of lamb in the lamb bhuna and the same in the chicken dish, this one consisted of more onions than meat. Not going to bother again. Put the prices up a little if need be but don't skimp

I went here last week for the first time in years. The food was excellent, the service was attentive without being intrusive, the atmosphere was lovely (no loud kids) and it was excellent value for money. Will definitely be going back - just excellent! March 2022 Just to follow up here (August 2022) - we've been back several times and have never had a bad meal. Staff very accommodating to special requests and very friendly. I've even taken people here who aren't particularly keen on curry, and they absolutely raved about it!

There is always a warm welcome at the Miraj. The staff, especially James, always make you feel special and take time to chat to you. The food is gorgeous with a good choice of meals. Never had a bad experience there. We will be back soon.

Had a delivery this evening, chicken laaw is stunning. All fresh and for the end of the night, poppadoms were super crispy so clearly made to order. Lovely meal after a super hard day of decorating. Highly recommend to anyone and have done to many friends and family who have never been disappointed

This place is sooo good. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the restaurant clean with white table clothes. The prices were excellent for the quality and quantity of food we had. Will be returning. They do takeaway as well but the dining in experience is better .

What a fantastic Indian, there is a good variety of food on the menu and it is well cooked and tasty. Staff are friendly and helpful and able to make suitable recommendations when asked.

Great food/service and lovely staff They need to upgrade the toilets, they need really good soap dispenser and much better hand dryers. New toilet seats and better bins and a really deep clean including back of the doors. They have revamped restaurant and it looks great. But the ladies toilet is very poor. This lets the restaurant down. Hence 4 stars only

Been here twice now and food has been top level both times, had the Miraj special and can highly recommend! Food was quick, staff attentive and willing to have a bit of a laugh. Give the place a go if you havent been yet.

OMG this has to be the best food EVER, we have eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants and along the way have found our favourites, we came across Minaj by chance, our usual one was shut on a Tuesday so, I googled places and Minaj came up, decided to try the take away, AMAZING is all I can say, so, tonight, we tried eating in, took some of the family including two younger grandchildren, the staff couldn’t have being any more pleasant and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, they were very lovely. They ensured that all Covid procedures were completed as jovial as they could whilst doing so, temperatures taken, hand gel and track n trace all adhered to, fantastic to see this in place 👏👏👍🏻. Restaurant was exceptionally clean, great atmosphere, tasteful decor, fast service. The food, well, fantastic, best lamb Pathia I have ever had, they catered well for the grandchildren too who, like us, love Indian food. All round amazing. Can’t wait for our next visit, won’t be long, to our new favourite restaurant, well done guys, if I could give you 10 ✨ I certainly would.

Excellent as always. Despite all the Covid regulations the team made us feel welcome and relaxed. Tables were spaced and everything was perfect. The specials night was on as usual (most restaurants are using the 'Covid excuse' to offer reduced menus and no specials nights at the moment in our experience) & everything was clean, fresh & newly decorated/furnished. Well done Miraj, you've done yourselves & us proud. 👍

come on Miraj what’s going on. Always eat in. Food always good. So this week we ordered a takeaway. Because I had my brother over on a visit from USA. We ordered 3 different curry’s 1 chicken balti 1 chicken biryani. 1 special seafood curry. What can I say absolutely nothing like you get when eating in. Really was terrible no depth of flavour at all sauce like water especially the chicken balti have you got one cook for takeout and one for eat in ???Come on mirage. You really need to keep same quality food for takeout as you do for eat in.

1st time here , with wife /daughter. upon entering noticed how clean + presentable place was. shown to our table , drink order taken whist viewing the £9.95 menu. a good selection from starters through to main coarse. within 10 min food arrived looking stunning....

Very comfy place. Fabulous staff as they gave my 3 niece & nephews a free mocktail drink which was nice of them but sadly the food isn't that great! (However I am a kid too & I didnt get one!) Staff offer sweets after your meal and went around to offer everybody but me! Pretty harsh! Pretty mediocre and not at all spicy. Fine if you can't handle super spicy food but this is a no go if you're a proper asian!

Another cracking meal we had yet again at this establishment,food superb and staff very helpful took time out to explain what’s in the dishes we ordered which was very helpful indeed,the only minor fact is they only do the deals on Wednesdays and Sunday not...

Never had a bad meal from here. Food is amazing and it's a very relaxed atmosphere. You can dine in or order takeaway, although apparently not on JustEat even though there is a sign saying they are. Staff are friendly and helpful.
