I ordered the vegan meal for one that contained various dishes and it was excellent value. Delicious and well thought out recipes. I will definitely order again!

Takeaway arrived an hour earlier than we had ordered it for and as for the actual meal, I wish I had gone to Sainsbury's instead it would have been 200% better. Definitely will not be eating from here ever again

Second time we have ordered from here after it has changed hands. We LOVED the food before. One of the best Indian takeaways. However, since changing hands it is very disappointing. We thought we would order again to try, wish we didn't! I emailed when we ordered last time commenting on how disappointing the food was and asking why they have taken lots of food off the old menu and I never heard anything back. Now, I am leaving a review on here. We ordered two curries one with lamb and one with chicken. Hardly any meat, both chicken and lamb were chewy and had no flavours. Curries were okay, but again, not much flavour. We ordered cheese naan breads. Naan breads were dry and didn't have any cheese in that we could see. We also ordered and coconut rice and a garlic rice. Coconut rice is unlike any other Coconut rice my partner has had before. Didn't taste like Coconut. It also had, what i think was lime leaves in there or bay leaves. That was all you could taste. I had a jeera rice. It was nice, but undercooked! The rice was hard, so I couldn't eat it. We are really disappointed as this is the second time ordering since new ownership. Save your money and order somewhere else. Silwals kitchen had very good reviews previously and I have noticed that it is going down. Which means something needs to change.

The food was delicious, the service was genuinely warm and friendly and the portions generous. This restaurant is absolutely wonderful! From the service of the staff to the taste of the food - which is absolutely bursting with flavour, I am most impressed and definitely intend to come back! Do check this place out, it is 100% worth your time!

Popped in on a whim and was completely blown away. The momos burst with flavour, and the noodles had that perfect kick. Wonderful service, lovely atmosphere can’t wait to come back.

I been there on Saturday with my wife I took takeaway omg the food I couldn’t express in comments it was so delicious the authentic tasty we can found there I must say do visit there and you won’t regret having food there and the timing was so perfect..

This place has changed hands and it used to be good. We ordered last night and had raw chicken, bitter sauces or no flavour at all. It was also greasy. The woman serving took our raw chicken out her hands in the dish to check it then came back to the till without washing her hands unwashed to give us a partial refund. We will not be going back. It is a shame as the previous owner did a great job.

Regular customer and normally really enjoy the food from here. Had my first curry since new management and the menu change, I was really disappointed. The Madras looked/tasted like Korma and was really bland. Hopefully just caught them on a bad night and that it only improves In the future.

Food would have been beautiful had it not been stone cold!! Had a ping about 30 minutes before it arrived to say it was on its way… Considering I only live a few minutes away, I was surprised that it took so long!! I ended up binning half of the meal as wasn’t nice cold!! so disappointing as this had to have been one of the best Indian takeaways in the bay!!! 😕

It'll probably be great if it ever arrives but it's an hour late so far. Absolutely no communication so we had to ring them and they told us it would be here in ten minutes. That was 25 minutes ago. I wouldn't really mind the delay if they were honest about it.

Waited 2hrs 30 mins for food we ordered for delivery. Phoned twice and told both times that the food was out for delivery. Eventually walked down and they hadn't even started cooking it...so lied both times about the delivery. And the food was bland, greasy and disgusting. Won't be using again

Got told 35min pick,got there and waited 35min more,got food home it was cold and no rice.phoned and they said they will send some out.Did not turn up.would not recommend anymore.will not be going back after 5year of excellence.

Took forever to deliver literally took hours… and they forgot a dish and said they’d sort out next time… but since then they’ve closed for a month 🤣 this place is great on the weekends normally but this time things didn’t work out… and in the weekday the food has been terrible

The food was ok. Not the best. All the curries and starters tasted the same, not much flavour and the keema nan bread had barely any meat inside. We thought we would try somewhere new, but we were really disappointed. I must admit the Himalayan chips were amazing, but that is a red flag when the best part of your meal was the chips. Back to my local.

One of the best takeaways we've had for a long time. Really great flavours and portion sizes. Just frustrating it was 1 hour 45 mins delivery time.

Bad service, £75 of foid ordered, over an hour late, no updates and then 2 wrong dishes in order (a king prawn butter turned up as a chicjen tikka masala, a much cheaper dish and one we already had in our order !). I found the sauces very thin. No helpful customer service at all.

Delivery driver was fantastic and actually read the message we left for them, and called us upon arrival. Food was delicious, no problems with it at all. Great value for money. Would order from them again next time I'm in Torquay.

Taking an absolute age for delivery. Been 1 hour 40 minutes when under 1 hour was claimed. Reported delivery on justeat with no sign of the food.

First time ordering from Silwal's. We've been going through indians in the bay trying to find a good one. Pleasantly surprised with the service and food quality. Super tasty and very generous portions. Extremely impressed.

We have had a few meals here. All can say is fantastic. Best Asian food we have had. Credit to the chef and owners. We have had some takeaways over Torquay, but not a patch on Silwals kitchen. As a chef myself I am very fussy and have been taught by Asian friends. Also have been taught in India. Tastes are authentic. Thank you Silwals kitchen

Spoke to a very polite and helpful gentleman to place a phone order for delivery. I can honestly say my special Byriani was exceptional and it was delivered piping hot in a short time. Highly recommended and a definite must for future Indian meals. Many thanks.

Just ordered from here for the first time and can safely say we won’t be ordering anywhere else from now on. The best Indian takeaway we have ever had. Absolutely amazing! The only thing I wasn’t massively keen on was the chicken (a little bit of a strange texture) but the rest was so unreal that this still had to be a five star review!! It was lovely and warm, honestly so delicious!!

Really delicious and good quality food. The curries were very spicy even for us as spice lovers but the flavour was great and both king prawn dishes had loads of perfectly cooked prawns in. The collection time ran over quite a bit as they were really busy but they were apologetic about it and it wasn’t a problem :)

One of the best indian take aways we had so far. We have had alot of Indian food around Torbay and Newton but this one is by far my favourite. No oily dishes, good size portions and a great owner. Highly recommended!!

A bit bland.. neither the balti or garlic naan had any distinctive flavours. Lots of vegetables.. thoroughly enjoyed the addition of the festive sprout though!
