Second time to have a take out from here, and it was SUPERB! The garlic mushrooms weren't what I was expecting, at all! A tub with sliced mushrooms in butter, garlic and something green... but they were so tasty, the best I've had. Everything was hot and it was delivered on time. We will be back! :)

Excellent Chicken Bhuna, Egg fried rice and Peshwari Nan. I was on holiday and visited this place one evening. The owner and his wife were nice humble people and made an effort to provide good service. The meal was lovely and I recommend this Take Away. Good value and lovely food.

Over an hour wait came luke warm, was bland and had no spice to it like I asked. A special rice is just mushrooms and peas so you know. I also asked for a pickle tray which I didn't receive. I definitely will not eat there again.

Food was disappointing Ordered Aloo Gobi not one piece of cauliflower in it !! Tasted of potato in gravy Curries served in very loose gravy not sauce Was disappointed as reviews said a good experience sadly I can’t say that

I have been ordering from Silwal's Kitchen for a few years now, the quality of the food is outstanding. Ordering is always a pleasure and the staff are very polite. What I like the most is how the dishes we order are always the same. The quality, the presentation, its always Excellent. The delivery service is always prompt and the food is hot when it arrives. Get half a meal and refused to send the rest off it as to busy with one driver,would never use again.Such a poor meal

Beware if you use the website! I phoned before we ordered to make sure they were open and said I would order on the website. I used their website. One hour 20 mins later no food. So phoned and was told that they don’t have the order, she was laughing and joking like it was funny. I have an email confirmation. Shame as it was for a birthday treat and now having to wait for somewhere else.

Finding a good Indian takeaway in Torquay isn't easy. This was my first visit tonight and not only was the service friendly the food was fantastic, I can't wait to try this place again! We had a Tandoori mixed grill, enough to share for 2, garlic chicken, garlic nanns which a generous size, the garlic and chilli rice was my favourite (the best I've had in Torquay for a long time) make sure you get some homemade riata it's beautiful. Thank you for not only a wonderful first impression and really great food.

my dad got us a takeaway from here for the first time the other evening and i have to say wow! iv had a lot of indian curry’s but this was by far the best and also what a lovley family! i love how you see it all cooked freshly infront of you. I’m quite picky with what I order for takeaway so I don’t usually order indian food but I fancied a change. I’m glad I did! Anyways… I read the previous reviews so I expected the wait to be long (1 hour and a half) which is fine by me. It was worth the wait, the food was still hot when it arrived. The delivery lady was also really polite. I enjoyed every bit of it, I was already full but I couldn’t stop eating the poppadoms and naan bread! Everything was just so yummy!!! I will definitely order from here again.

Found it by chance and gave it a go. Best Indian/Nepalese in The Bay, imho, having eaten good curries regularly in thirty years down here. This is the archetypal hidden gem, easily accessed just out of town. Family-ran, all smiles and fine service. I had Chicken Madras, hot and saucy with cassia bark, birds eye chillies, topped with fresh coriander, Chana masala with fresh tomato, soft naan bread. Very generous portions. My wife had Chicken Karahi and lentil Dall. We thoroughly enjoyed everything the price attracted a 10% discount for collection. Couldn't be better. Looking forward to next weekend. Kevin.

Ordered on a Saturday night..was warned of the waiting time being around 1hr and a half which was 100% worth the wait.. Amazing flavours perfectly cooked, can't fault the food just delicious!! Will obviously be ordering again.

Literally the best food you can order. Don’t go anywhere else, by far the best. If you can imagine home cooked food 10 times better than what you can produce, this is it. Add to this, friendly and quick service. 5 stars and the only place we’ll go to.

Wow! That was the best Indian I have had in years. Everything had the perfect spice , most was tender sauce was just perfection. All the sides and flavours were incredible. The himalayas chips were the best chips of all time. I'm so full but I already can't wait to eat this again. Friendly owners too thank-you.

We had excellent food delivered from Silwal’s kitchen. Every dish was well prepared, skilfully seasoned and delicious. The railway curry was particularly good, as were the giant onion bhajis! We also ordered a korma, which was tasty (many others we’ve ordered in the bay have been bland - not here though!). Delivery took roughly an hour and everything arrived hot. Thank you, chef - we will definitely be ordering from here again!

I have to say my food was exceptionally bad. There was not much distinction between naan and Parantha and both had a rubbery texture. My aubergine curry was terrible- the aubergines weren't even cooked properly. I'm definitely never ordering from here again.

Best takeaway we have had for a long time. Portions are large and prices are good. The food is very hot and really tasty. We ordered 3 different meals and all of them were delicious. We have ordered from here every Thursday for the last 3 weeks and we have never been disappointed. Guy who takes order over the phone is very polite and delivery is always within the hour. Came down to Devon for a holiday and was staying in a farmhouse near by. I love my curry and consider myself a bit of a connoisseur.. I have to admit I was really really impressed with the Service, price and quality of the curry I got from Silwal's Kitchen. All the curries we ordered were definitely authentic and each curry we purchased was completely different in taste and appearance to the other. We had a tandoori Chicken Starter that was huge and would have served as a main and it was just divine. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be returning to Silwal's on our next trip down to Devon even if not staying locally.. It was that good. Also the guy who served me in the takeaway was also a really nice fella and I left thinking what a good and friendly person he was. Keep doing what you're doing Silwal's and i'll be seeing you soon.

First time order. Everything was well packed for collection. The dishes looked reassuringly different unlike a lot of takeaway "Indian food" in the UK. Tasty and large portions but the tikka masala was overly sweet and the bhaji a little oily. Still very enjoyable and the best tried so far in Torbay.

For the first time in my life, I was emotionally moved by food. The gratitude I felt while consuming the skillfully crafted dishes overflows from my heart centre. You can taste generations of trial and error, secret recipes smuggled through the centuries. Each mouthful more flavourful than the rest! If you fancy yourself a bit of an empress of India and enjoy the finer oriental cuisines, look no further. This is the first time I've ordered from them and I'll be a customer and number 1 fan for life! Credit where credit is due, this family know the importance of good food! Do you know how many disappointing "paneers" I've wasted money on, money that could have gone to better causes?! But this right here, tikka paneer thing, (I cant even remember the name without looking on the website, my sincerest apologies, I'm rather tired.) ... hands down best asian dish to pass my lips in what feels like centuries! 10/10 reccomend God bless x p.s they even gave us some free poppadoms, they literally melt in your mouth they're that good! I'd go as far as to say it was Divine xx

You have got to try this takeaway. I went with the Salmon Tikka. It was so good, well cooked, well presented. I have no doubt this place is going to do really well. I have already been back a few times.
