Silwal's Kitchen in Torbay

The food was ok. Not the best. All the curries and starters tasted the same, not much flavour and the keema nan bread had barely any meat inside. We thought we would try somewhere new, but we were really disappointed. I must admit the Himalayan chips were amazing, but that is a red flag when the best part of your meal was the chips. Back to my local.

One of the best takeaways we've had for a long time. Really great flavours and portion sizes. Just frustrating it was 1 hour 45 mins delivery time.

Bad service, £75 of foid ordered, over an hour late, no updates and then 2 wrong dishes in order (a king prawn butter turned up as a chicjen tikka masala, a much cheaper dish and one we already had in our order !). I found the sauces very thin. No helpful customer service at all.

Great food and great, friendly service. The kitchen is always immaculate too.

First time ordering from here and ordered a chicken korma with rice and a naan. I have now got food poisoning and im very ill, will not be ordering from here again.

We got dinner for my family, even though at that time it was quite busy we still didn’t have to wait that long and we were served on time. Food was delicious and great quality; very fresh, staff is very polite, helpful and kind. Definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Delivery driver was fantastic and actually read the message we left for them, and called us upon arrival. Food was delicious, no problems with it at all. Great value for money. Would order from them again next time I'm in Torquay.

Taking an absolute age for delivery. Been 1 hour 40 minutes when under 1 hour was claimed. Reported delivery on justeat with no sign of the food.

First time ordering from Silwal's. We've been going through indians in the bay trying to find a good one. Pleasantly surprised with the service and food quality. Super tasty and very generous portions. Extremely impressed.

We have had a few meals here. All can say is fantastic. Best Asian food we have had. Credit to the chef and owners. We have had some takeaways over Torquay, but not a patch on Silwals kitchen. As a chef myself I am very fussy and have been taught by Asian friends. Also have been taught in India. Tastes are authentic. Thank you Silwals kitchen

Spoke to a very polite and helpful gentleman to place a phone order for delivery. I can honestly say my special Byriani was exceptional and it was delivered piping hot in a short time. Highly recommended and a definite must for future Indian meals. Many thanks.

Just ordered from here for the first time and can safely say we won’t be ordering anywhere else from now on. The best Indian takeaway we have ever had. Absolutely amazing! The only thing I wasn’t massively keen on was the chicken (a little bit of a strange texture) but the rest was so unreal that this still had to be a five star review!! It was lovely and warm, honestly so delicious!!

Really delicious and good quality food. The curries were very spicy even for us as spice lovers but the flavour was great and both king prawn dishes had loads of perfectly cooked prawns in. The collection time ran over quite a bit as they were really busy but they were apologetic about it and it wasn’t a problem :)

One of the best indian take aways we had so far. We have had alot of Indian food around Torbay and Newton but this one is by far my favourite. No oily dishes, good size portions and a great owner. Highly recommended!!

A bit bland.. neither the balti or garlic naan had any distinctive flavours. Lots of vegetables.. thoroughly enjoyed the addition of the festive sprout though!

Excellent Chicken Bhuna, Egg fried rice and Peshwari Nan. I was on holiday and visited this place one evening. The owner and his wife were nice humble people and made an effort to provide good service. The meal was lovely and I recommend this Take Away. Good value and lovely food.

Over an hour wait came luke warm, was bland and had no spice to it like I asked. A special rice is just mushrooms and peas so you know. I also asked for a pickle tray which I didn't receive. I definitely will not eat there again.

Not very good quality, more gravy with chillies than Madras. Bombay potatoes in stead of Aloo Gobi with cauliflower. Nepal chicken was swimming in a thin red soup, not sauce. Not good despite so many positive reviews. Disappointed for the local people because its not good food.

Sirwal’s staff called me to say our order would be ready within ten minutes and my husband collected the order and they were lovely and friendly. We ordered chicken passanda, peshwari naan and onion bhajis and we were given a poppadom and mint and yoghurt dip too. The chicken was so tender and cooked perfectly. The Passanda was really creamy and delicately spiced. The peshwari naan really sweet and again well cooked. The onion bhajji were so delicious.
