The best restaurants serving French food in South East

I read the reviews and the cynic in me thought this place can't be that good. It is! Great food and very welcoming hosts. I had a steak: superbly cooked. The rest of my family had the cod. They were unanimous in their opinions that it was also very good. I'll definitely be going again.

We've been fortunate to have been twice and both times have been exceptional. The food is exquisite, the tuna was unbelievable. The atmosphere is warm welcoming. Can't recommend it enough.

Excellent food, great wine and superb service.

Every dish and every mouthful was a joy. Relaxed yet attentive and very knowledgeable service where every dish was explained when presented. A stroll around the garden before our lunchtime feast was also very enjoyable (although not much to see in the kitchen garden at this time of the year). Highly recommend; yes: it is an expensive treat, but a memorable one!

We have dined at this new restaurant twice now and have thoroughly enjoyed our meal both times. We are particularly impressed at the freshness of the ingredients and the attentiveness of the lovely staff. We really hope it gets the success it deserves, we will definitely be back.

So good to come back after a long break and welcome was as warm as ever and the food delicious Soufflé so cheesy and the veal perfect. Nicely topped off with a crème brûlée One of our absolute favourites

What a lovely place this is, with very friendly staff and some tasty but not too expensive wines, and they do some very tasty food as well. Happy to recommend and can't wait until we are back in Worthing so we can go here again.

Had cappuccino offee and a cake. Coffee was poor (bitter, small), cake was ok. Had to go up to collect cake after coffees had been brought to table without. Cost moderate but not a lot less than much better nearby. Hopefully was off day, but they will have to up their game to attract me in again.

Consistently the best Thai food in Eastbourne, a family favourite for years.

We went here for a Sunday Lunch with 10 of us. The food was really tasty and visually appealing. I opted for the small plate which was plentiful and topped off with a large perfectly cooked Yorkshire pudding. I particularly liked that vegetables weren't what you would normally get, the addition of red cabbage was a great touch. The pub is also very dog friendly and they even do a doggy roast. We travelled from Bicester, Oxford and Witney to meet up and I would definitely make the journey again based on the food we had.

Superb meal, beautifully presented and everything was delicious. Excellent service, very attentive without being intrusive!
