The Grape Escape in Worthing

What a lovely place this is, with very friendly staff and some tasty but not too expensive wines, and they do some very tasty food as well. Happy to recommend and can't wait until we are back in Worthing so we can go here again.

This was a great way to spend an afternoon with family for an informal catch up. The staff are friendly and helpful which is most important when you have mobility issues . The food ,tapas,was of the highest quality .A family run business which I will visit again .

I've been here a few times and think it's a great place to meet friends for a catch up over some delicious wine. The service is friendly. The small plates are pretty spot on too. Sometimes all you want or need is a fantastic cheese board and a few glasses of wine. Recently I shared a few dishes with a friend - the aforementioned cheese board, plus some smoked salmon and capers, and a gorgeous flatbread with aioli. All great. (The only complaint I have is the curious bag of water they use instead of an ice bucket. The bottle then drips water all over the table.) Recommended.

We have eaten here many times, its juist one of those places that you cant help but go back to time and time again. The vibe is relaxed and as soon as you walk through the door you are made to feel welcome by Lee and his team. The food is excellent, the menu provides for a great selection of hot and cold tapas, all reshly prepared and cookedd. A wide selection of wines and somewhere I would highly recomend.

We came across this place having looked along the seafront for somewhere to grab a drink and a small bite to eat. It was a lovely summer’s day and sitting outside would have been fantastic, but unfortunately there was no space. We were shown to a small booth adjacent to the kitchen. The booths are not in the best location in the small bar, tooked away down the corridor, but the one we were in was bright and full of atmosphere. The other noteworthy point about this seat is that being adjacent to the small kitchen we we able to hear the countless customers who poked their head in to compliment the chef on how good the tapas is. We left adding our own compliment. Lovely little bar with amazing tapas, already planning to return. Apparently Wi-Fi would be an added touch but no other complaints. Superb.

We had a relatively swift evening bite to eat pre going to watch my sister-in-law sing at the Worthing Pavilion Theatre. We struggled to find a restaurant that was open on a Sunday evening but The Grape luckily had space. I have to say the whole experience was a thoroughly enjoyable one, made so primarily because of the owner and staff who were lovely, friendly and extremely welcoming. The owner even supplied a free glass of champagne to give our singer some Dutch courage, a lovely endearing touch. The food was great too, tapas style small dishes conducive to an evening of chat and laughter. I'd absolutely recommend this place so head on over you won't regret it.

Simply the best wine bar in Sussex. Great choice of wines, fabulous tapas, and served by people who what it is all about. I love sitting watching the world go buy with a gorgeous glass of wine. My regular haunt

We took a friend to The Grape as her birthday treat and what a great decision that was. Wonderful food and service and the homemade breads were a revelation. The food was enhanced by our choice of wines from the really interesting wine list. My only regret is that as we do not live locally, we will be unable to visit as often as we would like.

Adore The Grape, creature of habit always get the red Rioja, the olives and the tapas are the best. Love the family set up. Just hate how hard it is to get a table, this is due to everyone loving it!

Fabulous place - Lee is wonderfully knowledgeable about all the wines and the food is gorgeous too what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Always a pleasure to come and eat and drink at The Grape. It’s run by a fantastic family who look after every customers needs and always manage to make you feel special. The food is simple but delicious. 5 stars as usual just a shame there are no Christmas baubles hanging from the ceiling this year.

So good! I love this place. The food is really good quality and very tasty. The wine is also fantastic with a broad selection. The beer goes down well from what my friends said too. Just an all round winner!
