Cas-Croûte in Brighton and Hove

We just had the most amazing dinner here - it was so good, I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu! We shared the crab won tong to start, then my friend had the chicken supreme for main, which was succulent and was served with a lovely potato fondant. I had the lamb rump, served medium rare, on a bed of babaganoush, and with a side of an enormous platter of tagine, unctuous with stewed lamb, which I shared with my friend. We didn't really have room for dessert, but with food this good, we didn't want to miss out, and my friend's crumble + ice-cream and my lemon meringue tart didn't disappoint. All washed down with a carafe of the house red, a full-bodied Merlot. Wow! Just wow!! Get there quick before everyone else finds it!

Wow. Have been here for lunch and drinks but dinner was something else. Ambience and service top class, relaxed and welcoming. The bistro style menu is a good selection of fish, meat and vegan so suitable for all. We had the crab wong tong to start and the lamb rump to follow. You almost didn't need a knife to eat the lamb!! Make sure you leave room for desert or you will have to return just for that. Almost forgot the wine! House wine is always a good test, well the Merlot was beautiful. Try it. You'll love it.

I could have ordered all the starters, the scallops were perfection, but the crab salad blew my mind. I'm still glad I had space though, the lamb ensemble was just incredible and I'm not even sure how chicken supreme can be that good. On top of that. The brownie was straight from heaven. My only criticism is that there wasn't a single malt whisky to round it off. The service was impeccable, Eric was a star. Friendly, professional and attentive without crowding is. Treat yourself and enjoy.

Great food, great atmosphere, lovely staff and the location is superb. Can't fault it. Would definitely recommend brunch here.

Very slow service, waited over 25 minutes for our coffees, staff seemed very stressed and over stretched. We ordered off the brunch menu and the food as very average.

Food was delicious, very fresh and tasty. Our waiter was absolutely charming, very knowledgeable. We had a lovely evening here.

This is the same restaurant as before but reinvented and of course with the friendly and welcoming Eric managing the establishment for Pascale. Our soups were really good but bread was not offered and had to be requested. Quite busy on a Thursday lunchtime which made for a good atmosphere

Perfect Sunday Roast. Can’t say much more. Getting more and more popular too. Great service. Great cooking. Great coffees.

We came across this little gem by chance what an amazing find. The full fenche my partner had was totally delicious and i had the pea and avocado on jalapeño bread it melted in my mouth was sublime. The only downside was they are closed tomorrow so we will have to wait hopefully not long til our next visit

This was my fith visit to this restaurant over 2023 and I have to say it is consistently excellent. I have been there for breakfast, lunch and now dinner. The menu comprises French style food using a lot of locally sourced quality ingredients put together in classic fashion but with interesting pairings. There is enough variety to cater for fish lovers, vetetarians and meat eaters. The front of house is perfect - nice surroundings, comfortable chairs and just the right amount of attention, and the food is not rushed. It truly is a gem and I will be back.

An amazing French restaurant in the heart of Hove. We had such a delicious meal we have booked to come again tomorrow for Sunday lunch! Well worth a visit

The best French cuisine we have had in Brighton and Hove. We have been here several times for breakfast, brunch and dinner. The food and wines are superb, the menu is ever changing and well thought out. Eric is always charming, informative and the perfect host. A wonderful experience.

Came across this cafe during a day at the cricket. It is no ordinary eaterie. The quality of its food offering is simply outstanding. Having had a delicious scrambled eggs and smoked salmon (for a very reasonable £7) I filled my boots at the deli counter on the way out. Cannot wait till my next foray to cricket - I know exactly where the picnic will be sourced.

We have visited Cas Croute many times now, for breakfast, lunch, dinner & also to grab a coffee and pastry to take away... Truly amazing food & always a new taste sensation to try out... Great location & a really nice place to spend time....

Stumbled on this great cafe whilst exploring hove. Staff really attentive and great French food including pastries, light snacks and more substantial alternative. I had the bacon chop with eggs and hash brown whilst my wife had croque monsieur. Both excellent.

We found this gem in Hove, when looking for somewhere for a coffee, after a long walk on the beach. The premises is immaculate, with a relaxing atmosphere, and the patisserie cakes beautifully presented, and gorgeous to eat. The staff were very friendly and attentive....
