Viva-Vinyl Record Store & Cafe in Brighton and Hove

Solo he estado por café y croissant, pero he estado más de una vez y si te gustan los discos o no, es uno de esos lugares donde todos se unirán en una conversación. El enfoque es la música, ya que venden Vinyl, pero el chef es francés y el costo de la comida y la bebida es muy razonable. La cafetería / restaurante está en un desfile de tiendas en una zona residencial, por lo que puede estacionar afuera, aunque esté en una ruta de autobús. Algunos sábados por la noche y domingos a la hora del almuerzo se convierte en un restaurante emergente donde puedes BYO. No es para la cena romántica para dos, ya que este es un pequeño lugar con mesas bastante juntas, pero un amigo que fue a cenar me dijo que todos hablan con los demás y que tiene un buen ambiente. Se requiere reserva de imagen por las tardes pero para el desayuno; almuerzo o simplemente un café y un vistazo simplemente entra y mira.

Fantastic food, really great service, what a great neighbourhood restaurant should be all about, a real convivial atmosphere plus crate digging in between courses if that’s your thing, I got some great soul and rockabilly.

No creo que este lugar siempre se abra un domingo, pero si los ves anunciando su asado del domingo, tendrías que estar loco (o no como cenas de asado) para perdértelo. Muy bien ejecutado, carne tierna encantadora, excelentes raciones y muy buena relación calidad-precio. ¡Bien hecho al equipo allí, y espero la próxima vez!

I thought this would be interesting and have a few vinyl records on sale. I was wrong - they have thousands! All at very reasonable prices. Wonderful meals, snacks and drinks too. A real gem of a place. Loved it.

Nuestra tercera visita a este fabuloso lugar. Noche de pizza y pasta. . . tuvimos la boloñesa y el risotto, ambos deliciosos. Y se sirve caliente, tan a menudo un problema en otro lugar. Tuvimos una comida increíble en este peculiar restaurante en una hermosa tarde de verano. Qué descubrimiento. Buena comida, buen servicio, personal amable, principalmente Julie y chef Jules. Risotto era sabrosa y caliente, aceitunas y ensaladera justo y pastel de polenta de limón en el clavo. Definitivamente iré de nuevo. Gracias.

Just come back from viva vynal had a fantastic evening and meal it was a Greek night friendly intermate and a wonderful ambience and food great cooked on order you need to book well worth a visit

Is this place still open? Was thinking of popping along tomorrow for lunch. 😁 such a unique concept would love to give it a go.

Recently been to a pop up evening. Its so nice now, to simply walk down the hill to have a lovely evening with such well cooked and well presented food. Food and service, spot on.

We've had an excellent meal with the perfect hosts. Highly recommended. The evening meal was gorgeous. We'll go back very soon.

Visited before for coffee, music and a panini so thought we'd try the Saturday evening pop-up fish-themed evening. The food was absolutely delicious with a French twist and beautifully served by our hostess, Julie. At £20 per head for 3 courses including a complimentary glass of fizz it was great value too, and byo meant we could enjoy our meal with a fine glass of sauvignon blanc. You need to book and preselect your food choices. There are only about 20 covers but it's a great local find and well worth the forward planning.

This quirky concept really works so well. Popped in for a coffee and hot chocolate. Both were excellent, especially the (roasted) coffee from Henfield. Had a lovely light piece of toffee apple cake. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Just to finish off the visit I left with 6 CDs. Will certainly return for coffee, but will definitely try one of there pop up restaurant evenings. Go try it.

Had a lovely lunch here with a friend. Great atmosphere and decor and really friendly and welcoming staff. Lots of vegetarian options and some vegan and gluten-free too. Wonderful cake! Loved browsing the extensive record collection in the shop too. Highly recommend!

Lovely shop to browse through vinyls and have a cuppa! Worth a visit as there are some hidden treasures depending on your collection.

Been there twice since it opened, and will be going back. Good food, good coffee, good service. Just what the area needed. A place to be sociable.

A friend told me about this new record cafe. If you love old vinyl and fancy a lovely lunch, snack at the same time this is the place for you. I had a delicious salad and there is an amazing collection of records.

Popped in for a quick sandwich at Viva Vinyl today with my two children and my mother. Wanted to give it a go as it is a new local business. Could not be more delighted that I did. The food was delicious and the surrounds very pleasant. We were told by the owners that they have some exciting things planned from September when they will be utilising their wonderful French chef beyond the already delicious breakfast and lunchtime snacks. The most incredible surprise, however, was the incredible record store behind the cafe. I was aware that there was a record store attached but had no idea the extent of it. A visit here for anyone that buys vinyl is an absolute must. I feel very fortunate to have this within strolling distance. Good coffee, delicious food, child-friendly (a must in this area) and fabulous music. This is a nice area to live in but this little gem has made it even better.
