Had cappuccino offee and a cake. Coffee was poor (bitter, small), cake was ok. Had to go up to collect cake after coffees had been brought to table without. Cost moderate but not a lot less than much better nearby. Hopefully was off day, but they will have to up their game to attract me in again.

Blonde lady was rude directly to me and then shouts across the shop which is odd, customer service needs major improvement and coffees are not very nice. If the place is called chez pain coz her name is chez and she's a pain then I get it.

This is a delightful cafe, with a strong, friendly, family vibe, with excellent sandwiches, panini, baguettes, etc, plus one of the best full english breakfasts in the county! I always eat in (outside when the weather allows), but there's a full take-away service which seems to be enthusiastically taken up by the locals. Highly recommended!

Was staying nearby and popped in for a bite to eat for breakfast. Had my dog with me and was greeted by a lovely woman with blonde hair. Was made to feel welcomed and the kids loved petting my dog. Only had bacon and egg butty and coffee but was lovely. Bread was fresh and coffee was good. Spot on place.

Small coffee shop, a little scruffy on the edges and in need of a refurb but kept fairly clean. You're warmly welcomed by a kind and helpful staff. The coffee served is alright, I very much enjoyed my mocha.

All staff members had a smile on their face, even though they had had no delivery of essential items, luckily they had a shop down the road from them; also the parents had popped to the suppliers to get more. They apologies profusely; we informed them that it was no problem. They were rushed off their feet but kept calm too. Unfortunately it looked so delicious I didn’t have time to take any photos; the scrambled eggs and salmon was delicious. The omelette with mushrooms went down a treat along with a breakfast with added tomatoes and mushrooms.

Fantastic breakfasts and excellent coffee, stayed close for week for work and just happened upon chez pain purely by accident, found myself back there every day, ordering something different and every time as good as the last. Only criticism, no human can eat that amount of smoked salmon, I did try, and failed miserably.

Been using Chez Pain for 4 years whilst working locally. Fantastic staff - know everyone personally and always make you feel welcome. Good choice of food and made to order if not displayed. Very reasonably priced in fact for the first time in four years they have just put up their prices by a fraction - still worth every penny. Indoor and outdoor seating (weather permitting). If you work nearby make it your lunchtime eating place and if your visiting worth a stop.

Stopped off for a quick coffee & something for breakfast. They do a very reasonable breakfast deal which is a sandwich & coffee I think the 2 filling one was £4.25 which I was going to have as I was in a bit of a rush, this was until another gentlemans full English breakfast came out & I just couldn't resist! It was just as good as it looked & didn't take long at all! Everything was cooked to perfection & the staff could not be nicer! Will definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu

They said it was ok to say very cheap and very cheerful. It is certainly the cheapest and most cheerful in Beaconsfield. Generous helpings. Friendly people - especially the delightful new baby. Do ask to use the loo. Medieval maybe? Certainly it means you can inspect the back of the building which is medieval.

What a friendly little place! So nice to see a good old fashioned family business working so well! I had a yummy toasted sarnie which was beautifully melted & generously filled & at £2.50 very reasonable indeed, especially for this area! The staff were all lovely if not a little eccentric!! But in a very positive endearing way & made us feel very welcome! The kids loved the girl behind the counter who let them each pull a cracker from under the tree which was a nice touch! In all...nice to find a place where your made to feel so welcome & don't have to pay a fortune for a quick lunch in beaconsfield.

My first visit was just for coffee , it was ok , best coffee is pantry in hazlemere , I went back to try again and have something to eat. So had a goats cheese panini with "roasted veg" hmm it tasted fine but the veg was disappointing not what I would call roast veg , there was sweet corn Unroasted ,raw or maybe lightly cooked onion , pepper etc .mine and I think most peoples idea of roasted veg is not this , maybe I am wrong.I would not be writing this review if I had had a better response when I gave feedback. I did not get "Oh I am sorry that you were disappointed" or even "they are meant to be lightly roast veg " or just "thank you for your feedback" Shame , customer service training and practice is so important.Probably lost me as a customer.

Celebrated our engagement, but also our 4 year anniversary, last night with a meal for two at Skindles. The location of the restaurant is stunning, over looking a part of the River Thames providing lovely scenic views. The service provided was great, everybody from bar staff to wait staff were very friendly, put forward great recommendations, and clearly had a rapport with a lot of other patrons. To start, along with the bread and olives, I had the prawn cocktail. I was very grateful that the prawns were deshelled, and found them to be large and juicy. For my main, I had the sirloin steak (rare) and sweet potato fries. The steak was cooked well, but the sweet potato fries were king - I don't know how they made them so crispy yet soft. The dish also came with a grilled little gem lettuce - I personally don't understand the 'trend', it didn't add or take away anything from the dish. I was full by the time dessert came, but It's always the best course and it did not disappoint. The crème brûlée and raspberry sorbet was truly divine - shame I had to share it! To round things off, the staff bought out a plate with a small treat congratulating us on our engagement. From a cost aspect, I felt some items were fair, others probably a bit over priced, but on the whole it was a really nice experience and would recommend visit.
