I went with my friend today to celebrate my birthday. The place is beautiful and the service was impeccable. Specially from Antonio( Italian) who was super friendly. Every waiter was great too. The food was AMAZING!! From the starters to the puddings. And super fast service even when the restaurant was full. We will definitely come back again!!! Many thanks for making my day very special. Lovely but ... when and why did you stop doing those LUSCIOUS handmade, hollowed out chips? The substitutes (frozen?) are very inferior. Such a shame when the rest is so good. Bring them back and you will bring me back!

Had a very lovely dinner of fish and chips. Table had a great view over the river. Staff were friendly and we would definitely return. A highlight of our trip to Roux at Skindles was visiting the cocktail bar where the very talented and enthusiastic mixologist, Iakovos Kostantas, wowed us with the most delicious cocktails. Overall a fabulous evening.

Went for a celebratory meal on our daughters latest school report. Had a couple of cocktails upstairs and also took advantage of their cocktail happy hour. The happy hour cocktails are from a set menu and nothing is compromised on taste or quality at a great price. Also tried some of their new cocktails and these were fantastic. Our daughter had the Tangerine mocktail and it's to die for (considering there's no alcohol too) Dinner downstairs, ordering some of our favourites of snails, souffle and prawn cocktail. Opted for steak and veal for main course - all of which was well cooked. Finished with crepe suzette and a couple of glasses of port. One glass of port had a little too much sediment - spoke to the team and it was rectified straight away and in expectation of the service and standard you would expect. Fantastic evening (as always, and we go several times a year). Would I recommend - Yes Would I go again - Yes

Went for a last minute late lunch on Sunday (they open until 7pm), not been for a while and so glad we did. Was so nice sitting outside in the sunshine. Staff were super attentive and food was delicious, we had the skate and roast and it was outstanding. Looking forward to going back.

Delicious locally (made on site?) bread and olives for starters. Cannot fault the burger at all. Good value for money - I really thought that this place would be more expensive but I was totally wrong. We ate upstairs in the cocktail bar.

Have only been twice now for Cocktail Happy Hour and atmosphere lovely. Staff fantastic, always ready to take our order, rather than going to the bar. We'll Done Alain Roux!! Hope this Happy Hour Cocktail can continue

On a miserable wet February lunchtime this was a lovely spot by the bridge. I can only imagine how great it would be in the summer. Very friendly and attentive service and we all enjoyed prawn cocktails, soup, skate, sea bream and accompanying veg and potatoes, all very accomplished cooking. And special mention for fantastic bread, don’t miss out on that. Decent value we all thought. Not cheap but you have to pay for good quality ingredients and cooking and the location so no complaints

Lovely restaurant and delightful staff. The only complaint is how very very salty the Steaks Peppercorn sauce and the meniure sauce with the skate was.

I'm sure it isn't perfect, but that's the only way I can describe it. The food is amazing, the staff are friendly and attentive without being overly intrusive. My friend and I had the game terrine, he had fish (I think it was Pollock) and I had venison. Just gorgeous. He's a real foodie and he was impressed. This was my third or fourth visit and I love going there. If you love good food then book a table as soon as you can. Plus, if you're lucky, you might bump into M. Roux who is a lovely, friendly fella!

Lovely 1st time experience here. The staff are really friendly and attentive, in fact it's the most well looked after experience I've had in a restaurant. A very good place for a special occasion or a date night! Food was lovely very impressed and not over priced, we ate from a set menu, 3 courses at £34 each. Added bread to which was yummy. All round lovely meal, will be returning!

Great venue - very classy- top class cocktail bar with balcony and blankets Interior decor is first class But what makes a venue memorable is the staff and our award for most outstanding most welcoming and engaging member of staff was Olly.

I wasn’t impressed with the food. It lacked attention to detail and love. The beef cheek was served with a thick fatty reduction, almost like Bovril. It would have been over served in the sauce it was braised in.

Having been a few times to the Waterside and le Gavroche (and Maidenhead’s Fat Duck and Hind’s Head) we just had to sample Skindles for our Christmas lunch. Everyone and everything were five star. Cocktails first in the cocktail bar, courtesy of Oli, on the first floor, then downstairs for our lunch. Elodie took our booking on the phone and greeted us when we arrived, then Joe and Stefano looked after us at the table, with Antonio serving me a fantastic Old Fashioned. We had to go thank head chef Ricardo as every mouthful was absolutely delicious. Having a teen daughter on hand to give us a lift there and back was the icing on the cake 😊

Lovely restaurant but my husband finds the design of the room channels the noise and he finds it hard to hear conversation but other than that, great

I can honestly say this was some of the best food I have ever eaten in my life. Fabulously warm welcome and service, unobtrusive but attentive staff. Great atmosphere, like you've been invited to an intimate dinner party with old friends. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Overall, we had a good lunch at the Roux Skindles location. However, our main course of venison was not acceptable! Slightly tough and although we pointed this out to the staff, no one was interested in changing it or alternatively refunding, some of the cost. So it was a disappointment. Especially as I was introducing the restaurant to a good friend.

We very much enjoyed our lunch here. The fixed menu was excellent value and interestingly delicious!

we ate from the christmas table d'hote menu. The chicken parfait and mussel soup were superb. The beef cheek an absolute dream. The best we have had. The mille feuille was a disappointment compared to the other courses. Not enough leaves and not enough fruit. We will go again.

Service was prompt and attentive . Food was mediocre , some dishes below average such as calamari . You would’ve thought that a Michelin start restaurant would’ve at least got that right . Fish and chips was bland and chips were soaked with oil . Below average food , would not reccomend

Huge let down over food. I would have expected a Michelin recommendation would go a long way. Calamari over cooked and chewy. Arincini was ok but the mushroom sauce was very thin and semi tasteful. Fish n chips were a joke… oily and burnt batter that was loaded with too much batter and oil sipping through. Atmosphere was ok and service commendable. But if you are coming here for food - expect to be let down considerably

Another wonderful experience at the modern French eatery. Located on the banks of the river by Maidenhead bridge. Great place for family gatherings and business meetings alike. Seasonal produce and exemplary service means it’s a winning combination every time !

Excellent food and drink in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Also surprisingly good value for money and reasonable prices, combined with reasonable portions, perfectly cooked. Recommended.

The location and service is great at roux. We had the vegetarian burger and it came out quite cold. For c£20 it was tasty but I’d question the value.

Passed by and decided to have a lunch on Sunday. Didn’t book in advance and place was extremely busy for Sunday roast . Staff kindly offered us to stay in cocktail bar what serves some limited menu, but it was enough to make us full and enjoy the food and drink. Ordered Normandy onion soup, lobster hot dog, vegetarian hot dog and calamari. Received top service. Very caring staff and a beautiful view. Will return to try deserts and visit the restaurant.

My anniversary dinner at this restaurant was unfortunately a terrible letdown. Despite making a reservation, we were rushed through our three-course meal within an hour. When we tried to move to the bar for a drink at 8 pm, we were abruptly told it was closed, which was surprising given they claimed to be open until 9pm. We were actually chased by the manager shouting that we can finish our drink but “the business is closed” even though there were people still dining. The lack of flexibility and rushed service left a sour taste on our special occasion. The waitress was pleasant, but her apparent expectation of a higher tip than 15% left us uncomfortable. It's disheartening that this restaurant, which isn't exactly budget-friendly, seems to prioritise turnover rather than providing a relaxing dining experience. We were back at our hotel by 8:30, regretting not having just driven considering we don’t live to far away but we had booked a hotel for the occasion! This experience has left us with the impression that this restaurant might not stay in business for much longer, and it's truly sad to witness. I won't be returning here in the future. I have been here once before and wasn’t very impressed so this was a second chance. Such a shame.

Excellent meal with great service. Would have been 5 stars apart from the peppercorn sauce not having any pepper/peppercorns and the round table in the corner having a bench seat so unable to sit straight at the table, which was very uncomfortable . The cocktail bad was very pleasant.

A wonderful place for a Sunday lunch or a nice dinner with a great casual bar upstairs serving a covered patio overlooking the Thames. One of the best hamburgers in the UK upstairs and fine dining downstairs.

Had the lobster with the brioche roll and the Sassy Rosé cider. This is obviously a high end place and not somewhere I would usually go to for food. That being said, the quality and taste were excellent, and justifies the £29 price tag. The place is pretty and the view from the balcony is gorgeous. The bartender who served us at the bar upstairs was friendly and helpful. However, the lady at the front desk not so much.

Always enjoy Roux at Skindles. Finally had time and opportunity to try out the cocktail bar upstairs before dinner as well. Service was impeccable, the bar knew who we were and that we had a table reserved in the restaurant from the other staff before we even got up the stairs! Great drinks, friendly and good service, and the food was outstanding. Very much enjoyed my grilled octopus salad starter. It was so beautifully presented and as delicious as it looks in my photo!

Lovely meal! I never thought a Red Onion Bhaji starter could taste so good with the fish main course and vegetables that were perfect.

Went for dinner for birthday with friends. Really nice food although the clientele was a bit ‘Brexity’ if you know what I mean. The decor is a bit so so, felt like you were sat in an office a little bit. Highlight was the cocktail bar upstairs. The mixologist was amazing..

Unfortunately a really disappointing meal tonight. The steaks were chewy (would expect much better for £33), the children’s beef burgers were practically raw and the worst of all meal was late coming to the table and then my son bite into a raw chicken burger. Totally unacceptable and very disappointing. I am writing this here because none of my family wanted me to make a fuss and the service was very friendly. Sadly wouldn’t recommend it.

Fantastic meal, service and ambiance. Both my partner and I throughly enjoyed our meals. Everything was presented with such care and they had excellent options for vegans. Can’t wait to be back.

Went to the bar area, Amar is a skilled mixologist with great knowledge of all drinks. We had the pleasure Amar making drinks for us throughout the night. Absolute asset to the Roux team. Can’t wait to return again soon.

We had Sunday lunch here and the food was absolutely fabulous, best roast potatoes I’ve ever had! The service was wonderful and overall and really great experience.

Have dined many times in the restaurant, but never in the cocktail bar until last week. Great position, excellent bartender and ample choice of food. Would highly recommend very relaxed atmosphere and fab cocktail maker.

What a find! The food is delicious and served in an informal bistro style atmosphere. Great wine list and fantastic staff.

We arrived with a voucher that we had won as a result of a bid for at a charity ball. We knew to expect three courses and wine in accordance to the voucher but the experience went way beyond that. Every member of the team made us feel not only welcome, but important. The food was incredible too. I bid for the voucher to support the incredible Link Foundation, but tonight I hope every member of the Roux Team is aware of their part of that donation. P.s. when you refused to take a tip, despite some fierce persuasio, I have just donated your tip to the link foundation too, so thank you!

This has to be one of the Brassiere’s that redefines the genre. Innovative yet wholesome. Fresh produce and yet if you don’t get into their big sister Michelin restaurant you will not be disappointed. Their French Onion Soup is not to be missed.

First visit here and the food was divine. We had a fabulous waitress too.

Great location by the river and can't fault the service. The traditional French food was as good as it should have been for the price but no better. Nothing really delighted - bit of a let down.

As you enter the decor is very pleasing and the service is exceptional. The charcuterie starter was plesant but as the main courses arrive it becomes apparent why this restaurant has a long way to go before receiving a mitchelin star. The plaice menuries was poorly cooked resulting in a soggy and exceptionally greasy dish that's highlight was finishing it.

Went there for drinks and sat outside which was lovely! The staff was so helpful and had quite a bespoke experience as it was not too busy.
