My sister and I took our Mum for her 91st birthday. Staff were so kind and afternoon tea excellent. All made her a very special birthday. The memorabilia brought back many memories for her. Thankyou so much.
Cafe 64 has the perfect combo of delicious food, the friendliest and most delightful staff and a gorgeous range of mostly gluten free cake made locally.
The chef is adventurous and as well as serving standard British breakfasts, including veggie options, he also serves up such lovely alternative food. I just ate sweet potatoes, a spicy chutney and a really fresh salad of cucumber, tomatoes, radishes and onion. They also cater really well for gluten intolerant and vegetarian tastes.
Yummy
Such a good meal! Very well seasoned meat. The fries were so good too. The mac balls were insane! Basically all round super yummy food! We all enjoyed our meals (table of 9)
The service was great! Staff attentive & smiley.
Highly recommend :)
What a great welcome. Stop for a refuel bacon bab was prefect top class bacon nice soft bab and perfectly cooked. The cafe was spotless. It’s a place not to be missed.
Sorry it has taken me so long to review. Visited a couple of times in October 2024. This is a hidden gem, as are all the lovely friendly staff. Booked for Sunday lunch and the restaurant was packed out, rightly so, the food was amazing and there was so much of it. Just when we thought we’d have to be airlifted out the crumble and custard arrived, wow!!! Such good value and tasty original food. Needless to say we didn’t need to eat again that day. As a vegan it’s a joy to visit such a wonderful restaurant. Even if you’re not vegan give it a go for the tasty food and friendly service.
Had their full breakfast which is the usual one of each (2 bacon) with a drink and toast. The portion sizes were acceptable but not generous, and it was padded out with too many diced potato pieces, as well as being slightly overcooked/overheated.
However their Breakfast was certainly okay, and the accompanying choice of Tea was really good, and made over two full cups. On the downside the cost of £9 was expensive for what was served, especially in comparison to many similar venues.
It was clean inside and the service prompt and efficient. Unfortunately it was also too chilly in there and needed to be much warmer to be comfortable.
I was luck enough to get 2 seat at the ‘pay what you want’ evening. I can honestly say it did not disappoint!
8 individuals sat round a table, enjoying wonderful food. A brilliant concept!
Each dish was carefully thought out and tasted insane.
Alex and Laurel were easily able to cater for my gf needs along with the normal secret menu!
I will be ordering take out soon so I can share their amazing food with my Husand.
Checkout their website and get your name in the hat for one of these brilliant evenings!! Good luck, you will not be disappointed!!!

Upmarket wine tasting. Sommelier Tom and his wine-panneled (!) room for an hour long tasting sessions are impeccable. For maximum enjoyment, book one of six rooms for an overnight stay and check out one of the local restaurants within walking distance.
Went here this morning with my wife , son and his other half.
4 choice of breakfast sizes!
Ridiculously good prices too.
Decent Brekkie and perfectly cooked.
Set me up for the day!
Nice sausages and quality bacon.
Plum tomatoes which I love! Eggs cooked just how I like them with a nice runny yolk.
When we got there to the table I reserved it was empty but withing 10/20 mins s I found out why it was suggested I booked a table and it was almost full !
I cant think of anywhere else that you would get a mug of tea or coffee for £1.50?
Will definitely be back
They also do a Sunday roast for £8.95!.........it's a shame I've just had such a large breakfast!
An aptly titled Tea Room. . Friendly welcome, interestingly themed and offers a wide range of hot drinks and lovely food. Yes it's on the expensive side but everything is of high quality/standard so felt acceptable value for money. Would visit again and Definitely recommend.
Note it's down a long gravel road from main rd. the only sign you come across appears to a different place which is confusing. Ignore the place name ( which I understand is the farm name where situated) and follow the tea room arrow.
