Having seen and read about this cafe on Facebook, we just had to come along and see for ourselves. We weren’t disappointed, it’s a fantastic little place, the food was absolutely delicious, the staff totally wonderful and I’m going to say it, the toilet is brilliant, so many artifacts in there with the bombs and sirens going off whilst your in there!!! Brilliant. Highly recommend

As seasoned coddiwomplers we like nothing more than to reward our adventures with cake. This is the best find yet... so much WW2 history, a wonderful atmosphere, the friendliest owners and an Anderson shelter toilet. Homemade cakes that are scrumptious and delightfully spiffing hot chocolate 🥰 Our only regret is that we found you the day before leaving for home but we will most definitely be back 🇬🇧

Amazing! We all had pasties and all great. Crab pasty was well worth it! We took our dog who was made a great fuss of including having a generous portion of hot dog sausage. The whole ambience is wonderful and the toilet is an experience in itself! Worth booking ahead as only 3 tables inside and 3 small tables outside! They do take-away as well. Milk shakes were a step beyond! Staff so friendly.

Quirky but delightful in every way. Why WW2 themed? I have no idea, but the decor simply adds to the charm. Perfectly located on Ventnor seafront, we sat outside on an unseasonably warm day enjoying the scenery as well as the tea and generous portions of excellent home made cakes. The waitress made a fuss of our dog and came back later with enough dog biscuits to last a week! We’ll definitely return.

We visited this small but amazing teashop for an afternoon tea for my birthday!it was like travelling back in time to the 1940’s: music and artifacts perfectly chosen. In fact there was so much to look at. Visiting the facilities was an experience too…superb. The tea was amazing. We were sure that we would be able to eat it all, but we were beaten! The sandwiches were so soft and plentiful. The scones were warm and the cakes were lovely too! Thank you for a warm welcome and memorable experience.

It was Ventnor Day! We decided to go down along the esplanade for a well earned cuppa and cake. And it was amazing! This was early evening, sitting outside looking over across the bay, with Lavender and Lemon cake, and Custard and Rhubarb Cake. It was delicious! The staff were so helpful. We love to visit there when we can. We would certainly recommend Lady Scarletts Tea Parlour!

This is a wonderful little treasure on the sea front at Vetnor. I'd always wanted to go, being a love of everything vintage and knowing it has a 1940s theme. Everytime I have been to Ventnor we have not been able to go in as its been full . I'd pre booked a table for myself , husband and two young boys . We where also able to bring out cockerpoo with us. Toby was so accomadating from the start . I had booked us in for a high afternoon tea. Inside the tea room was like walking back in time . So much to see ! The afternoon tea was just perfect ! and Tony was just wonderful ! and worked around my boys with alternatives to cake . I absolutely loved it ! And so did my husband and boys . It was great that we brought the pup too . The staff where lovely ! Can not recommend enough!! A lovely hidden treasure and I would definitely go there again !!

We had been hunting around for a alternative location for a superb cream tea after reading that Chessel Pottery has gone very much downhill and no longer makes the cream teas it was famous for. Lady Scarlett’s has an incredible record of top scores, which we’re now extremely suspicious of. We phoned ahead to check for availability and although the person on the phone wasn’t rude, they made us feel we’d possibly made a bad choice with their attitude on the phone. You can’t judge a book by its cover, but when we arrived at the place, we wondered if it was really the right place. Sadly it was. Not very inviting and seemed a bit too rough around the edges, despite the ‘World War period’ theme. When we entered, a grumpy man (possibly the owner) was there observing people coming in, although very few people were coming in (a big sign of bad things). When we mentioned issues parking, he told us that there’s lots of parking in Newport. This location is nowhere near that, so we assume we were being told to go elsewhere if we didn’t like it! Lovely! The place was empty whilst others were full, so there’s a hint! We left without ordering anything. An unpleasant experience.

My partner & I took his elderly mum away for a few days on the Isle of Wight. We decided to have a cream tea for lunch after visiting the botanic gardens. We weren't disappointed. Covid-19 restrictions were still in place & this lady has it well sorted. The tea room has a 1930's/40's theme & it is fascinating looking around at all the memorabilia. The lady running the tea room was dressed the part & had her hair-styled from that era. We were served a 'proper' pot of decent tea with our scones, cream & jam. The scones were homemade & delicious & it was everything you would wish from a cream tea - perfect! I popped to the loo afterwards & there was even cut-up sheets of newspaper hanging in there (don't worry - you can use modern-day loo roll...!!!) A great idea, good fun & we'll definitely go back when we're next on the island.

My Mum and I went for afternoon tea. It was one of the best afternoon teas we have ever had. Excellent food quality, great value for money, brilliant service and atmosphere and right on the beach. We would not hesitate to return and would highly recommend. Thank you for a great afternoon!!

This little tea parlour is just beautiful. We was passing by and just stopped for a quick tea and cake. The lovely young girl (we think Ella) was great, polite friendly and super efficient! Highly recommend, one of the best scones I have had in a long time! 5* well done guys!

Don't settle for substandard dog ice-creams offered by lesser establishments - go to Lady Scarlett's for Billy & margot's finest!!They also do fantastic tea & cakes for dog owners as well with great sea views. Also a great slice of nostalgia is to be had - taking you right back to the 1940's! Well worth a visit.

We love this place and it was great to be back.We arrived by bike and the generous cake portions were just what we needed for the long climb out of Ventnor. As always there was a warm welcome from the staff and the WW2 theme and memorabilia were both humbling and inspiring.Any visit must include a visit the the indoor 'Bomb Shelter'!

Stopped by to see if they were open in these troubling times. I was so pleased to see that whilst they have had to close the cafe due to coronavirus like all restaurants, they are still operating as a take away, with their full menu as well! We just had ice cream and cake this time. Delicious as always! We look forward to when the restaurant side can reopen as well, but in the meantime we will keep coming back for take outs!Keep calm and drink tea!

What a great place. The theme is 1940s WW2 and they have done it well. So many interesting bit of memorabilia. The setting of this slice out of time is right on the beach. I urge everyone to go. Lovely owners who are super welcoming, evidenced by the locals. Oh and most importantly of all the food is delicious and all home made. I don't have enough good things to say about the place. Thanks Tony and Ange for making our trip to Ventnor so great.

Visited with my husband and 2 children. Full of ambience with an array of 40s memorabilia to spark conversation. My kids loved the air raid toilet and we all enjoyed looking at the items and listening to the period music. The proprietors were incredibly welcoming, service top notch! We indulged in hot chocolate and cakes which we were happy to discover are home made by the owners. Delicious! Board games available which enabled quality family time. Was great to learn that they are 'dementia' friendly and I would consider this establishment to be the perfect place to spark some long term memories for those with the condition. In addition to being child friendly they also welcome dogs with treats available for 4 legged friends. We will most definitely be paying another visit, maybe next time without the car and kids to allow full benefit of their alcohol license! Well worth a visit.

This is a quirky little place for a new years day cup of tea and scone - quick service, nice BIG pot of tea and a decent scone - in a full on WW2 setting. One of a kind.

We popped in for a quick coffee and the service was excellent. We saw lots of orders come out of the kitchen and they looked very good value for money. Covid restrictions and hygiene being carefully followed

Well what can I say, Toni's is a fabulous little tea room located on the sea front. We visited just before lunch as we wanted a snack & a drink. Pobably the best I've visited on the Isle Of Wight, lovely staff, a restful atmosphere and above all, freshly made food. Oh, how could I forget, the beautiful little dog Tolusha, fast asleep on a chair she made her own, bless her. If we are ever back on the IOW, we'll definitely return again. Highly recommended. Just a 5 minute drive from the ferry. Very nice food and good service. Would recommend Bettys Brekkie. Fairly reasonably priced.

Lovely staff, and lovely Vegan Breakfast ! although I wish I didn't get the kids one.(my fault as didnt see the other bigger menu) cant remember how much the child's vegan breakfast was but love a bit of avocado ! The booths were a bit on the small side for me and my partner who is 6'2, but a nice size cafe and can go sit on the sofa if you wish (Batman (1966)) playing on the tv which i thought was nice) Lovely little place, shame its tucked out the way as never knew it was there! 5* for the staff and atmosphere. thank you

We booked for an early Xmas Lunch and had a good meal. Of note the attention and service were excellent, the choices adequate, portion size was about adequate. However, the food quality was not as good as I expected, which then made the value and cost expensive for what it was. the comfort was satisfactory, and the decor pleasant. Unfortunately it wasn't as 'special' as I'd been led to believe, and for me didn't really tick any boxes to want to return, or recommend to others.
