Great food and coffee, always a friendly environment would highly recommended Dog friendly environment in the heart of Freshwater town.

This place has become our go-to for breakfast, and for good reason! The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, creating a cosy atmosphere that makes every visit a pleasure. The food is fantastic—we always opt for the full breakfast with a coffee, and it never disappoints. Everything is cooked perfectly and served with care. It’s the kind of place you’d happily go back to time and time again. Highly recommended for a great start to your day!

As a Godshill resident we are so lucky to have this fantastic cafe right on our doorstep. We are regular visitors to Cook + Baker and the food has never disappointed. There is an Asian fusion influence to a lot of the dishes on the menu and, whatever you choose, you won't be disappointed. There are also pies and sausage rolls which are delicious and the fillings changed regularly. If you prefer something simple the ham & cheese or bacon baps/baguettes always make for a tasty bite washed down with a hot, or cold, drink of your choice. The cakes are all lovely (I'm very partial to the lemon meringue if its on offer when we visit) and we would particularly recommend trying the doughnuts but they are only available on Saturday - fortunately you can preorder the day before as they are normally sold out by midday! I often go in there on my own for a coffee and a cake with our 2 dogs who are always made to feel welcome with offers of treats and plenty of nice water to wash them down with. We would like to give a special shout out to Lisa, Roger, Kate and the hard working team there who provide excellent service and nothing is ever too much trouble.

Well this was a great find! Don't be put off if your not vegan - good food is good food no matter what label it comes under - although we are vegan! We chose 2 dishes from the specials board. The West African peanut curry was incredible. I can honestly say that I haven't had a meal as good as that in years. there is a sweet courtyard at the back meaning that it is actually quite a big restaurant. I wish that I was a local so that I could eat here more frequently. For now it will just have to be enjoyed when on holiday.

The Carnaby Tea Rooms is an excellent place to go out for a meal.The whole cafe is such a joy to be in.The owner is very friendly and her and her staff make you feel extremely welcome.The Carnaby Tea Rooms menu is wonderful and the food is delicious.We have sampled everything from a Christmas Dinner complete with 10 different sorts of vegetables all well cooked down to the Shepherds pie and not forgetting the Wonderful Cheese and Mushroom Omelette which is the best Omelette we have ever tasted! We always feel at home at The Carnaby Tea Rooms and I highly recommend the food and ambience you will not be disappointed as it's the best place to eat not only on The Isle of Wight but on the Mainland too.

This is a really superb establishment which oozes amazing service and top quality food in generous portions. All this in an immaculately kept country style restaurant. Pricing is very competitive, especially when you consider the generous portions. The cakes are worthy of special mention, they're very fresh and baked by someone who has a passion for producing top quality confectionary. The Tandem Tea Room is definitely a must visit tea room if you're looking for top drawer food and beverages in the Brighstone area of West Wight.

What a great cafe. Relaxed, cosy atmosphere. Good coffee and cakes. The lunch menu looked good too. It was a real treat to have an excellent pianist playing when we arrived. Lots of art displayed and adverts for upcoming music events - just wished we lived closer.

I love this care it doesn't pretend to be posh or anything it isnt. Lots to choose from on menu and lots of interest on walls. Nicely different.

As Aussies we are critical of coffee as our culture is addicted to it. Here we had a coffee we were amazingly thrilled with. It was a REAL COFFEE with flavour, depth, texture and truly made with love thank you Emma for creating the best coffee we have had in the entirety of the UK xx

The staff are amazing, so friendly and accommodating. We went with my elderly, disabled parents, and they couldn’t do enough for us. The home-made cakes are to die for and the view. I could’ve sat there for ever.

Absolute top place to eat chill and chat. The owners a Mum and Daughter are just lovely the food is amazing and it feels like you are visiting an old friend. Dogs are more than welcome and my bichon Oscar loved it Doggy menu too. Thank you both see you next year Alison Ian and Oscar.

This hotel ticked all our requirements. We were on a whistle stop tour of the East side of the island and wanted a place to have a quick stay overnight. We had a nice room and an incredibly comfortable bed. Lovely and clean as well. The breakfast was superb . We would highly recommend. The location was perfect for the town and the beach less than 5 minutes walk away ( via some steps or a lift)

We had three different things from the menu for lunch and all felt insubstantial for lunch and more like a light snack. Nice people and what we had was nice but personally I would not return for lunch. For example £12 for a salad which had a spoon of hummus, half a small avocado and some leafs and a few cherry tomatoes and croutons feels too insubstantial for the price and as lunch.

Lovely views, great cream tea and ploughman’s lunch! Staff and owner were lovely. Begrudge writing this review because I’d love to keep it secret!
