I love this care it doesn't pretend to be posh or anything it isnt. Lots to choose from on menu and lots of interest on walls. Nicely different.

Had the £2.95 breakfast here on Saturday with a mug of coffee. Really good value for money. Cooked well - more than enough to start the day and the owner was decent too, having time for a chat. Well worth a visit.

This is my favourite place to eat in Shanklin. The rack of ribs is exquisite, the breakfasts are perfect and my daughter enjoyed everything she had ranging from sausage muffins to egg and chips. I would recommend this place and would bet that most of you would go back again. Lovely staff and enjoyable place to eat.

Popped in first time for a bit of breakfast, hubby had full English, I had a sausage and egg muffin. Both well cooked, especially good here is the meat is from local sources. Sausages are normally cheap in most cafes but these were great and my sausage pattie in the muffin was lovely. Fantastic value for money. Friendly staff and like the retro decor inside. Will definitely return. Pie and mash for us next time! Even if it's quiet here, don't walk past! Give it a go! You won't regret it!

Retro quirky cafe, clean and friendly. Advertises authentic pie, mash and liquor and that is what it was. The friendly owner clearly cares about providing good quality food at reasonable prices. We will definately be going back to try the breakfasts.

I went to Hunger Stop as soon as it opened and have been going back regularly ever since! My personal favourites being the pizza burger and the dirty fries - delicious! The service is quick, the staff very friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming for all ages and kids! The decor inside is so unique, so many interesting things that catch your eye, exquisitely decorated.Located in a ideal part of shanklin, seconds away from two different car parks or highstreet parking.Very clean, fresh food cooked to order for eat in or take away. Amazing! As you can tell I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place!! It’s easily the best place to eat, with the best price and the friendliest welcome. 5 stars!

The Hunger Stop is reminiscent of what a small Transport Café on the A1 was like about 50 years ago. However as it is situated in Shanklin High Street, it lacked the parking space for the Lorries you would have expected to be parked up there. The Breakfast I had was certainly value for money and appeared to be all freshly cooked, which is something that many other Island establishments fail to be able to achieve. Similarly, although the food was of catering standard, it was no different to that often served elsewhere. Lastly, the seats and the surroundings were basic, in fact very basic, and it was not that comfortable in there at all.Consequently for me, the Hunger Stop was unfortunately just too scruffy to encourage me to want to visit again, but the food was okay and would no doubt suit a number of other folk.

We discovered this lovely cafe had moved into bigger premises across the road. The lattes are still good, but the cafe area feels cramped. Staff helpful and friendly, but feel it's lost its lovelines

As Aussies we are critical of coffee as our culture is addicted to it. Here we had a coffee we were amazingly thrilled with. It was a REAL COFFEE with flavour, depth, texture and truly made with love
