This was a lovely find in Shanklin, these ladies (Mum and Daughter) gave us a warm welcome on arrival when we were looking to get something to eat and take a break. We ordered 2 English breakfast which came well presented with tasty produce including toast and a pot of tea each. We enjoyed the wall of pawfection (pictures of dogs who visited) and atmosphere (I get anxious and nervous going into new places) so much two days later returned with our furry friend who was given some lovely treats in a bowl, while my husband and I tucked into a slice of carrot cake and latte. We will definitely return as enjoyed so much without breaking the bank 😊

Nice little cafe that really paid attention to detail. It had a corner for children to colour in and plenty of dog friendly features, including a bag of doggy blankets! The full breakfast was nicely done, sausage being the star, the waffles were good too.

Oh my god the staff in here are epic. So nice n accommodating. Prices are so "normal" not hyped up for tourists. The portion sizes are a good good portion. Can not give enough praise

Lovely little cafe! First time visiting and had a great experience, greeted with a smile upon entry. Cafe decoration was lovely and very accommodating for dietary requirements. Friendly staff and the food and coffee was very tasty. Highly recommend.

A very welcoming establishment where your dog is made as welcome as their owners are. We went in most of the days while we were holidaying in Shanklin. We were so sorry to have to say goodbye to the lovely two ladies when we were due to go home. They have a photo of our Alfie on the wall with lots of other doggy photos.

Very friendly staff and a beautiful breakfast (especially the sausages). Wife is lactose intolerant so they gave her soya milk for her tea. Happy wife, happy life. Easy to see why it gets a high rating.

My friend and I stopped off here for a breather and an ice cream and were impressed with the food, service and very reasonable prices. The ladies at the counter were friendly and helpful, and one of them being a cat person was a decided plus in my book. Also welcomes pooches, another thumbs-up as they are often better behaved than people...

Large cafe, does Jacket potato and a wide selection of drink, the flat white coffee was good, the milkshake is to die for, so yummy and they do it with oat milk . Friendly staff. On the high street, car park opposite

Not having lived on “The Island” for long I was looking for a cafe which was reasonably priced,clean and friendly and what a welcome off Becky and her mother I received on my very first visit. I had sausage,egg and chips bread and butter all served up at my lovely clean table,followed by a cup of hot chocolate,absolutely delicious. I was obviously going to return for a hearty,bacon and egg sandwich with tea,once again greeted with friendly smiles,which is lovely when your new to “The Island”,so I thoroughly recommend a visit you won’t be disappointed.

This place is amazing, the best cafe on the island everything was just perfect can't wait to go back 🙌 😍

We enjoyed excellent coffee served piping hot in this lovely little cafeteria which probably serves the best coffee in town. Also available are lovely appetising freshly baked cakes. The staff here are efficient and pleasant and there is plenty of space between tables to make you feel safe.

Delicious food, drink and homemade cakes prepared with care and attention. A wonderful little jewel in Shanklin, lunch here will add a highlight to any day.

This café is stringently following Covid-19 regulations with perspex screens and sanitiser stations throughout (leaving customers feeling safe). Staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. Crucially, they also stock a lovely range of cakes and pastries.

Dog friendly, spotless, great food and drink, friendly staff, cater for a variety of dietary needs. Really recommend it.

We come across this lovely cafe after having a walk around Shaklin. Most of the tea rooms were closed but this cafe was open for normal service which I'm glad we come across. Homemade cakes - cherry & chocolate loaf & raspberry cake were lovely. Dark hot chocolate made my visit! Lovely ladies who run the cafe - chilled environment with not feeling rushed at all. Definitely recommend a visit if you are in Shaklin.

This is a great place to eat. I visited with my wife today and we both had a salad. The food was very good the service was excellent and the atmosphere and surroundings are spotless and pleasant. The menu has lots of variety too and everything is high quality. Extremely reasonable prices. You must try this little gem

Most places were closed for a late lunch, but the Lime Tree welcomed us in with our dog. Food was great and service was prompt and efficient. It was really clean, bright and modern, serving excellent coffee and tea with a European feel. We were so lucky to find this little gem and cannot recommend highly enough.

Ate lunch here on a wet and windy day. Inside of the cafe was very clean with fresh decor, and the tuna salad was lovely!

Open friendly and extremely helpful, the wife and I can be nightmare customers for many as I am a professional chef and we both have intolerances that cover a verity of very common ingredients. Not a problem for the wonderful ladies of lime tree who immediately recommended appropriate products and even went a step beyond recomending a diner that would be appropriate for dinner later as well as we are visitors to the island. Thank you ladys your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Immediately drawn to this lovely cafe by its brightness and menu. Spacious and not overcrowded with tables and chairs. Very welcoming staff.

We have a double buggy so we need plenty of room and The Lime Tree Cafe has lots of space between the tables and a low step at the entrance so that made it an easy choice. So glad we did as we received a warm welcome and even though it was getting towards closing time they were happy to cook food which was very nicely presented and tasted great. Although they do not have specific baby changing facilities my wife remarked on how clean the facilities were and managed ok to change one of our babies.

Really good toasted sandwiches! My husband and kids ordered toasted sandwiches and I ordered a toasted panini which wasn't toasted that much so I wasn't keen on in. However my son let me swap half of his and it was really good. Definitely have a toasted sandwich if you visit! It comes with coleslaw, little bit of salad and some crisps.

Our first visit to the Isle of Wight, visited the delightful Lime Tree Cafe today and warmly welcomed by the charming owners Lisa and Liz. Outstanding homemade cakes and even the biscuits served with our tea were homemade. The attention to detail is second to none. Cleanliness and hygiene importance evident throughout. We ordered breakfast baskets, beautifully fresh cooked to order croissants and toast. Toasted ham and cheese sandwiches and mozzarella tasty and piping hot. Can not rate the welcome highly enough or the quality of food and friendly warm service. Good value for money a must for anyone looking for quality and something different to the chains. Highly recommend a visit and you will Feel like a person rather than income in this charming little cafe. Definitely visit again.

Reasonably priced, delicious food with a range of options, great if you fancy a tasty, light lunch that isn't the classic fish and chips. The falafel wrap from the specials board was particularly yummy! They served food in the period between 14:00 and 17:00, when other cafés had stopped serving which was fantastic! They were accomodating and very friendly. The cafe was a calm space with a reasonable amount of seating. The loos were also exceptionally clean, as was the seating area! Well worth a stop for a bite if you're in the area.

I visited this cafe for lunch + was so pleased. The people are lovely and the cafe is very clean, bright and airy. They were very accommodating for two vegans; the chocolate cake was so good! Well worth a visit for breakfast, lunch and cake :)

We received a very warm welcome at this cafe when we visited last week. The place was spotless. The sandwiches were lovely and fresh and presented beautifully. The homemade scones were to die for! I’ve tasted far too many scones in my lifetime than is good for me but these were probably the best I’ve ever tasted. Mary Berry would be proud! We will definitely be returning on our next visit.

Absolutely delicious breakfast! Freshly cooked to order, and a great choice. The cafe is beautifully decorated and there is such friendly service too. The island roasted coffee is great.

Had a lovely breakfast here. Granola and yogurt and scrambled eggs. You couldn't get a fry up but that suited us. The staff were lovely and the food and coffee top notch. Really enjoyed it here. We came as the hotel we were staying in had included breakfast in the package but it was so dreadful we went in search of somewhere and this ticked all the boxes.

The food is always amazing and they are such nice people. Great environment great food and great drinks. Perfect for a spot of lunch.

Visited here in February, a lovely bright and modern cafe with stylish decor. But that's just the start: loads of space, clean toilets and friendly management. Then, there's the food, very straightforward and tasty menu with some specials, great cakes and world-class scones (I am a self-confessed scone-a-holic.) Also, the tea is great quality, you can taste the difference - proper leaf tea.

We have visited this cafe in Shanklin the last two trips we have made to the island, both times we have been bowled over by the quality of the food and service. The menu is straight forward and clear, the specials offer a twist on the normal cafe food and they use local ingredients wherever possible. The selection and quality of cakes is exceptional, great quality coffee, teas and incredible hot chocolate! The women who run this place are clearly passionate about their business and always go the extra mile for their customers. They welcomed our dog too and are incredible with our children. Even the toilet is nice! Cannot rate them highly enough!! There should be a 6 star option. ;-) We cannot wait for a return visit very soon. :-)

The cafe doesn’t look much from the outside but once inside it is tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean, I can see why they have there 5 rating cleanliness. The cakes and scones are homemade with a very good selection, they also cater for gluten free customers which is a plus. I would certainly return when next in Shanklin.

Visited here twice whilst holidaying on the isle of Wight. Just had coffee the first time. Returned and had one of the best toasties I've eaten. Lovely and clean, spacious cafe.

I visited the lime tree cafe yesterday for an afternoon snack and was instantly very impressed with the modern and tasteful decor.

We visited the cafe today for a coffee and it was so lovely. We had scones with the clotted cream and jam it was amazing and very fresh and warm.

It’s simply a lovely fresh and vibrant place to eat with friendly professional staff, a welcoming ambience and great modern food... and a great interior decor too. Newly opened I should imagine and hope the do incredibly well. £6 for a hearty Greek Salad, fee WiFi and dog friendly too! Superb!

Had a lovely lunch at The Lime Tree Cafe. The cafe is modern and bright and all the food is freshly prepared. The menu choices are good and thete is a specisls board too. The friendly atmosphere added to the enjoyment. I would highly recommend a visit.

Clean and crisp cafe with very friendly staff! Popped in for lunch with a friend, they had an excellent menu and the prices were very good. The sandwiches we chose were freshly prepared and very tasty! The coffee was excellent too. Would absolutely recommend this place!
