Cook & Baker in Isle of Wight

A great place to eat breakfast. Not the conventional English fry up but a good choice and there is something for everyone. The cakes looked wonderful but didnt actually try.

I was very pleasantly surprised when walking into Cook + Baker, the decor is really aesthetically pleasing, the staff were very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. Couldn’t recommend enough!

We saw how well rated this place was and decided to give it a go. We ordered some lattes and also a meal of bubble and squeak with poached eggs. The lattes arrived first....they were supplied in tiny glasses with no handles, so you could not pick them up without burning your fingers, we also had to ask for them to be topped up as they weren't full measures, however the actual drink was fine. The meal was delivered and it was as described and extremely tasty, hot and well presented. The cutlery for the meal was delivered in a paper bag for each person, which is a bit wasteful. If we hadn't have had the meal though, this would have been a lower score, I don't think we will be returning.

Well worth a visit. Have been meaning to try Cook & Baker for a while and now I have finally made it I’ll definitely be back. Delicious brunch. Speedy service even though it was super busy. Interesting and varied menu. Pleasant surroundings. I want to go back and work my way through the menu now!

I just finished the Korean eggs and I want more ... Amazing flavours and fresh ingredients 100% would recommend. Definitely the best breakfast we've had all week.

Visited here for lunch whilst in Godshill. Managed to get a table for my family and we settled down for lunch. Although at first, there weren’t any options for children immediately obvious, we did get our two a sandwich which they enjoyed. My wife and I enjoyed very good meals too. It was a touch on the pricey side but the food, service and atmosphere were great so it warranted it. Attached some pictures of the menu from our visit but not sure how often it changes.

Absolutely lovely food, the teas are delicious and the cakes melt in the r mouth. One of the best places on the island to visit

Love this cafe in the heart of Godshill. The food is stunningly good, and a little bit different. Excellent quality ingredients which shine through. The service is good and always friendly. It does get busy at times but it is well worth the wait for a table. Food is all freshly cooked and they also bake their own fabulous cakes, pies and sausage rolls. Brilliant for breakfast or lunch or just coffee and cake. Dog friendly too. Love it!

I went here to have afternoon tea without the sandwiches. I had a delightful fruit scone with cream and jam followed by a lovely chocolate torte with caramel. The staff were really friendly. Worth a visit.

We stopped in for lunch and we were amazed at the quality. It was tremendous. It was very reasonably priced. You couldn’t have got more bacon in my son’s baguette! My pie was delicious and I’m not a salad person but the salad was excellent. Thank you to the staff who were really attentive even though the place was very busy. And the pudding - just wow.

Always such a treat at Cook and Baker food always excellent service great what’s not to enjoy I highly recommend to all if you have not been

This is one of the best cafe restaurants I’ve ever visited anywhere and I’ve been to quite a few. Fabulous food made in house and warm, friendly service. They also bake fantastic cakes. No reservations just turn up. You may have to queue in busy periods but it is definitely worth any wait. It’s a real gold standard place, we visit regularly and have never felt let down in any way. They are also dog friendly which is perfect for us.

A must-do whilst on the island. Whether it’s for breakfast, brunch or yummy cake …this is the place. Friendly service. Great selection of teas

I met my friends who had never been to Cook Baker they really enjoyed it we all had the bubble and Squeak with delicious poached eggs and cakes after ,look forward to next visit

This spot is worth the drive. Oh my...rhe food is delicious. The atmosphere cosy and friendly. The staff cheerful and efficient. You must go if you are in the area over the Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Had the best potato and cheese savoury bread pudding with a yummy tomato sauce, crisp bacon and sunny side up eggs. My husband had the Huevos Rancheros and was so happy. We finished off with rhe Japanese pancakes which you shouldn't miss!!! Heaven on a plate. The baked goods looked amazing and they had sold out of the Saturday donuts when we arrived at 12.30pm...thankfully we had placed an order and got 2 to go for dinner.

One of the best breakfast places on the island. If your looking for an up market breakfast thats not a greasy spoon. This is your place. Love and care go in to their food and service is great.

Wow! our first time visiting the Cook & Baker today and we were extremely impressed! We decided to visit after seeing such good reviews for the doughnuts and decided to stop for breakfast. We had the Korean breakfast and it’s was absolutely delicious! All the different fresh flavours made it so moreish. We also bought some doughnuts to take with us and they seriously are the best we’ve ever had. Will definitely be back again! Thank you so much for such a beautiful little gem on the Isle of Wight.

Came here for breakfast on our last day of holiday. Absolutely gutted I hadn’t tried it sooner, would have visited every day if I had. Had the Kimchee Eggs with a latte and hot chocolate. The food is beautifully presented and the flavours were remarkable complementing each other beautifully. We ordered two cruffins to takeaway, wish we ordered more once we tried them they were out of this world! The decoration of the venue is lovely and modern and the service was friendly and authentic. This is now our go-to place each time we visit!

Friendly staff, dog friendly, lovely little courtyard and the best pie we have ever eaten. We took some away with us too! Loved it.

We had breakfast here twice whilst on holiday and what a treat. Build your own choice of traditional English breakfast or try something a little more exotic such as carrot hummus on toast. A great choice of gluten free options including the cakes to either eat in or take away. Thank you 😊

The food and the service are full 5 stars. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. The staff were helpful friendly and efficient. So why not 5 stars? The Coffee. 3 x flat whites that were over extracted, too hot and the milk had zero texture. We didn’t complain as the start were so nice and the rest was absolutely wonderful, so we didn’t want to make a fuss. Decor is great as is the rear garden, we will go back and just drink tea 🙂

Another great find from Trip Advisor reviews. Ideally situated for our visit to the Model Village. The lemon yoghurt with granola was absolutely delicious. A nice atmosphere, delightful service and good coffee. An absolute gem.

If you visit the Island and don't visit Cook+Baker, then you will have seriously missed out. Up there with the best bakeries in Britain and we've eaten in a lot of excellent places. Cook+Baker exceeded our expectations and everything we ate was fresh and delicious. A fabulous atmosphere and the most excellent breakfast and cakes. I don't know if Cook+Baker know how outstanding they really are! An absolute pleasure.

This was the best breakfast by far we had during our stay. I'm vegan and my partner normal omnivore and we both had a really tasty and large breakfast. I recommend the bubble and squeak.

Amazing cafe, serving fab food. Some are Asian fusion dishes, others are pies and sausage rolls with unusual fillings. Great soups and the cakes/desserts are amazing. Lovely, friendly service and welcoming team. They are dog friendly too. We visit regularly. All in all, Fab-u-Lou’s!
