We popped in for a quick coffee and the service was excellent. We saw lots of orders come out of the kitchen and they looked very good value for money. Covid restrictions and hygiene being carefully followed

My wife and I were delighted to find this cafe had reopened after months of lockdown. And we weren't disappointed. First, it has been given a thorough makeover...new carpet, wallpaper, tables, chairs, tablecloths. Plenty of room inside and a couple of tables outside. Spotless toilet with all the hand rinse, sprays, paper towels and stuff you need to feel safe. Hand dispenser just inside the entrance. The usual verybfriendly personal service. Very reasonable prices. Cooked to order breakfast. We had the medium version ie sausage, egg, bacon, tinned tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and slices of hot buttered toast. Very good quality, tasty and perfectly cooked. All washed down by lovely cup of tea. £10.80 for both of us. Well worth it. We'll be returning soon for lunch. So all you old customers...share the good news! Get in!!

Enjoyed a very nice breakfast here - a no frills basic cafe - but unbeatable value for money.Everything was cooked nicely and the ingredients were reasonable quality and more than met my expectations. The food arrived quickly and there was a friendly atmosphere. There are nice optional extras that can be added to the fixed breakfast options - such as black pudding etc...There is also a range of tasty looking home made cakes as well as other tasty home cooked meals, soups etc... ideal for a tasty lunch. This place is not trying to win any awards for decor - but with tasty home cooked food and low prices it gets my vote for excellent value for money.

Stopped for Breakfast in what were very basic surroundings, but had a very nice freshly cooked Breakfast, which was excellent value for money. I had the 'Large Breakfast' i.e. 2 of everything plus tea and toast which was a full plateful. Okay, no frills or pretensions, and the content was catering standard, but that’s no different to what a number of other Island establishments offer, but struggle to successfully achieve, and hence it was well worth a visit. However, I reiterate that it is a basic Cafe, and not somewhere to take the Wife for ‘Coffee and Cake’.

This place is dependable, friendly and won't break the bank. It is always busy with contractors other workmen as well as a steady stream of retired people enjoying their breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is always a nice friendly atmosphere here from customers and staff alike and everyone is made to feel welcome.Simple traditional British cafe style food - home cooked and served with a smile. The low prices reflect that this place is what it is. It is a little rough around the edges but that does not bother the many many regular customers who enjoy what it has to offer and the great value for money it gives.

The food here was good for a cafe (we had sandwiches). Seemed fresh and very generous with the fillings. The locals seemed to be well looked after too and the prices were fairly cheap. However the front of house was very tired and a little grubby. Looking at the food I am sure they were fairly clean behind the scenes but did leave a little doubt when the front area was a little dirty. Official food hygiene level is 4 out of 5 to put things in to perspective. Would still recommend this place for a cheap simple bit of grub but would hope they take note and tidy the front of the cafe up so it’s more welcoming.

Ryde was very busy due to the IOW Festival so we asked a ‘local’ in Ryde where the best place was for breakfast and he recommend this place. Nothing flash, but a great breakfast offering, great value, and great service from the guy and girl serving. Sat outside on the street in a ‘Sun-trap’. Recommended !

Just a 5 minute drive from the ferry. Very nice food and good service. Would recommend Bettys Brekkie. Fairly reasonably priced.

Simply the best on the island. The Cream Teas are perfect. Choice of scone plus a choice of jam. Scone warmed up to the right temperature accompanied by a lovely pot of tea or a coffee. Staff very very accommodating and friendly. Dogs welcome too. What a great place

My brother and I stopped here for lunch . We both ordered the omelette and fries . We were very impressed. The staff were nice and yes there is a friendly dog who follows everyone around. It is quite family orientated and it appears by the photos around they have sadly lost someone close. We ate in the garden as it was a nice day. B Overall , yes a bit hickledepicklede. But we loved it. Probably not for you if you don’t like dogs .

A wonderful place to eat; such a pleasure to visit and find a place that was so welcoming and being able such enjoy top quality food. Nothing was too much trouble; we had delicious sandwiches freshly prepared from local ingredients. Coffee that was fully flavoured, but refreshingly not bitter. All the cakes were definitely home made; tasting well and looking gorgeous. The cafe was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our first visit, but definitely not the last.

A really quirky 1940’s tearoom full to bursting with memorabilia. Even the toilet is kitted out appropriately. The white chocolate and raspberry milkshake was delicious and I was even offered a top up at no extra cost! Would certainly return.
