We have been using this fish bar for several years the staff and service excellent as is the food. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Stumbled upon this place by chance while driving and looking for somewhere to eat—and what a great find. The view alone was stunning and set the tone for the visit. At first glance, the menu seemed a bit pricey, so I was a little hesitant. But the food completely exceeded expectations. We ordered the chicken burger, tempura prawn poke bowl, and a couple of bao buns. Everything came out quickly, and every dish was top-notch. The chicken burger was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had—juicy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with an awesome slaw. The poke bowl tasted incredibly fresh, and the tempura prawns were crisp and light. I’m genuinely impressed by how they manage to serve such high-quality food so quickly from what looks like a small kitchen. A hidden gem that’s well worth a visit. Keep it up folks.

This cafe was next to my hotel, so I dropped in for a coffee and baguette before setting off to hike round to Ryde. Wish I'd discovered it sooner, as it was the best cafe I came across during my stay in Sandown. I had an egg-and-tomato baguette, which they knocked up very quickly (they are not ready made), and it was lush. I love eggs and always have them in a baguette, and I rate this the best egg baguette I had all summer. They'd done the eggs to perfection--so instead of the flat pale look slices of boiled egg usually have, these had the granular golden surface of good-quality eggs cooked very recently. I had a chat to the jolly, friendly ladies in this cafe, including a lovely Welsh one who told me everything is fresh. You wouldn't get a slice of yesterday's boiled egg in Planet Janet, that's for sure. And with lovely bread and fresh tomato slices too, it was just the perfect baguette experience, which is not often come by. That and a good coffee in this charming sea-front corner cafe set me up for my hike with a smile on my face.

People were polite but seemed very unprofessional for the ratings it has. They got our drink orders wrong and food took 1 hour even though there was only four groups (a couple, my group of five, and two groups of four) in the restaurant. We were not noted about the delay beforehand or kept up to date of how long food would take and from the look and speaking to the two tables beside me, they weren't impressed either. 2 stars are for the refund as after an hour couldn't wait any longer as we had a ferry to catch so didn't even see our food. For a place that also does takeaway aswell as eat in, it should be quicker. I'd work on that rather chatting to your mates at the bar.
