Set in a farmhouse, this brilliant cafe is a must when in Northumberland for breakfast. We were pleased that the cafe was also dog friendly. The owners had a lovely manner with the dogs, and made us feel very welcome.
First time visiting, we both had the potato, leek and ham soup, I had the cheese scone with mine which was like a double size scone, light and fluffy, my wife had bread, which was mixed white and brown and plentiful.
It's dog friendly, and they even brought a little bowl of ham for our dog.
Staff are lovely. Prices are very reasonable.
Can't wait to go back to try more of the menu.
We read reviews before going to Alnwick and restaurant sounded fab .. sadly Restaurant doing take away at present.so didnt sit in ..however it was honestly OUTSTANDING. If you want fresh... exceptional authentic tasting thai food packed with flavour and like to spend ure meals going..nom..nom..nom....out loud...this is the place for YOU.
I was recommended the Bari Tea Brewery by a friend and was not disappointed. The range of teas on offer was vast with many interesting flavours! I had the green ginger tea with a scone which was freshly baked and was very tasty! Service was very good and all the staff very friendly.
I've heard many good things about Rising Cafe and decided to visit the cafe this week. Loved the 1940s and 1950s theme with the old posters, the vintage radiogram and photos of the Queen's Coronation, and how the cafe helps people with issues in their lives. Also most of the meals are under £10, which is really good these days, and there is a large choice from salads to burger based meals. I was impressed and would recommend The Rising Cafe to anyone who wants a pleasant meal in nice surroundings with a theme.
Me and the wife visited here for a full English breakfast , and I must say it’s one of the best I’ve had , food very fresh and hot , caramel latte best ever, and the staff very friendly . Highly recommend, free car park at the rear.
A lovely location, sat outside in the sunshine with my dog, a pot of tea, cheese scone followed by a piece of carrot cake, absolutely delicious. Thank You, I can't wait to return
Restaurant Pine is quite remarkable in all departments; conviviality, hospitality, service, drinks, and food. The restaurant is unstuffy, and casually smart. The food is at the highest level, created from a hyper local process. Between the own grown and foraged ingredients, one would be hard pressed (as a diner) to have a meal of this calibre anywhere else in the UK. Their food balances artistry, culinary prowess, and a deep understanding of their fabulous ingredients. What they do with it all to creat such splendid dishes, is little short of utter genius to me and my palate
Great place, we were sent for breakfast from the local inn, and presented with the best breakfast we’d ever been offered!
Relaxed and friendly atmosphere, well used by the locals, (always a good sign) dog friendly - a real treat from beginning to end - many thanks
This tearoom is in the perfect location at Amble Harbour, been here a few times and the service is great, and the food so tasty home from home and more.
Fabulous find, great pub and really helpful, friendly staff. Will definitely return. Great opening hours and so lovely that it’s a proper pub for the community.
Great portion size, tasty fish, all been said already by other reviewers.
What I found especially good was the batter on the fish, crispy and thin, not greasy, and the most magical of all, is that the fish goes all the way to end of the batter shell!
They’ve go the batter nailed down!
Bravo, please continue doing your thing and do not stop

Popped in for a drink after a dog walk (dogs very welcome here) with my husband and daughter. My daughter had a gorgeous and generous milkshake while my husband and I had coffee and tea. The owners are lovely and the cafe was a great, welcoming space with a fun mini ice cream van for the little ones. Our dog was offered a treat (and gladly accepted!) and there was fresh water for him too. We even bought a gift from the lovely selection of gifts and homewards on offer. We didn’t eat but the food looked great and we’ll definitely be back!

You have to try afternoon tea here! Likely need to book in advance, we were given a great choice of sandwiches when we booked. On the day, we were seated upstairs right by the window looking over the sea, a fabulous view even on a grey winter afternoon. The food was delicious, more than we could eat though we gave it a good go. Good mix of savoury and sweet, some other afternoon teas elsewhere have too much sweet stuff. Suzanne, the owner, and the staff are so welcoming and helpful, and the cost was so reasonable. I highly recommend this place.
