The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Northumberland North East

We have visited the Northumberland Arms twice in the last few days, and on each occasion, the food has been superb. The staff are friendly without being familiar and the food is served promptly with excellent presentation. I have to dig deep to find any negatives, the only - very minor - one being that I would have liked a fork as well as a spoon with which to eat dessert. Highly recommended.

Few years since we were here but not sure I would come back. Restaurant was very busy and noisy and tables were crammed together, so much so that when lady at next table spilt her drink it went all over my dress and boots Starters were ok but main meal very disappointing. The quality of the meat was poor and difficult the chew. Certainly nowhere near as good as when we came few years ago. We queried the bill as we had been overcharged. We paid over £80 for our meal and would have had better food and value with a takeaway. Won’t be going back

Ordered take away, Beautiful food, best special fried rice I’ve ever tasted, arrived early ,red hot food, delivery man was really nice and chatty

This is a potential goldmine in Haydon Bridge - but they need to up their game a little with their service to make sure people come back. We popped in for a quick lunch. The young lady serving took a minute to look up (there was only one other table in) and took our order. We ordered a salad and a toasted sandwich to share, with coffees and some iced water. Coffees came quickly enough, but no water. We waited quite a while for the food - which was lovely when it came. But while we waited, we saw another older couple come in and order. They waited even longer than us - and didn't get cutlery to eat salad and coleslaw! The original server was 'busy' folding napkins rather than clearing tables (quite a few with dirty dishes and needing wiped) These are such simple things to rectify - a bit of training required! Wonder how they would cope with a full cafe? Do hope they get this sorted...

Fantastic food and lovely friendly staff also wonderfully large portions looking forward to my next visit. Would definitely recommend Yans .

Very friendly. Excellent service. Quality food. Absolutely love it. Love everything they do but the Singapore curry and the Salt & Chilli ribs are amazing..

Food was much nicer than expected! Wasn't too keen on the egg fried rice or thai chicken- both tasted like microwaved ready meals. But the prawn and seaweed, the beef udon and the dim sum were all fabulous. Thank you!

piping hot food when it arrived, I ordered the salt and pepper prawns and they were so good! Everything was so flavourful and the customer service aspect of it was very good.. one downfall was the noodles were quite dry so I had to add the sauce but I will definitely be ordering from here again❤️

My partner and I have been going to Peters for years love his orange chicken. Good portions good value for money and lovely customer aervice

I'm leaving a mediocre review, not because the food isn't good, because it is, it's very good. However in the three times I've got takeaways from here I've been quoted anywhere between 20 and 40 minutes, and that's fine, but everytime I go in, the girl goes in to see the chef, asks him how much, takes the money and only then does he start to cook resulting in another 15-20 minute wait. Food is great, but I'll be going elsewhere to somewhere that cooks the meal within the waiting time and not 20 minutes later.

We were here for my husband birthday and our wedding Anniversary. Food was absolutely amazing 👏 We got the meal for two. OMG!!! Soup, starter & Two Main Meals to share. All was absolutely amazing. We've even said worth hotel stay just for this restaurant.
