Excellent. Always hot, Quality Chinese takeaway food. The Ribs in chilli & salt are the best ribs I’ve ever had. The Singapore curry is beautiful.

My favourite takeaway. We have used for 20+ years. Our family favourite. Staff are so friendly and know us well. Tried many takeaways and nothing beats Lotus!

Amazing Food, Professional Polite Service and Sparkling clean kitchens in open view. We get food here every week and have tried many parts of the menu. All of it has been delicious , the service is so good and the kitchens always in full view are sparkling clean. Robert.

First time I’ve been here for a couple of years after moving back to the area and its gone right downhill. Fried rice was hard and clumped together. The chicken and king prawn in black bean was disgusting (the chicken cheap processed stuff and the king prawns frozen mush) waste of money as gone straight in the bin!

In my opinion the Lotus House is the best Chinese takeaway in Prudhoe by far. I love the chicken and king prawn curry and my parents love the sweet and sour king prawn dish. All the food is delicious, made quickly and the staff are very efficient and friendly. Top-notch food and service! Well done and thank you. We'll be back soon! 😊👍

Best Chinese food in the area. The guy who takes the orders has been there years and he's so lovely! The food is always prepared fresh and quick (I don't know if they deliver as I just pop in, order and wait) and their crispy shredded beef and chow mein dishes are definitely the best. There's free parking either over the road or behind in the Co-op. I always over order so I can then portion up another dinner the next day. I with they were on Just Eat so I could pre-order and pay with card, but like most Chinese takeaways, the best ones are always cash only, so come prepared.

Ordered a takeaway tonight for my daughter’s 40th birthday, they said it would be ready in 15 mins which we thought was quick. We only live 5 mins away yet the chicken dishes were lukewarm, the fried rice was cold as if it had been cooked earlier and they’d forgot to reheat it. Will not go again, very disappointed

Both myself and daughter had a belting dose of food poisoning the day after. Sickness and diarrhoea. Won't be eating from your menu again. Special chop suey, salt and pepper chicken box

Best Chinese takeaway in Prudhoe, 15 minutes!!!!

I don't like Chinese food but this place is immense. The guy at the front of house has excellent people skills

Excellent Chinese take away,we travel from Newcastle to Prudhoe to collect the food. The food is very good and well worth a visit.

Having tried many dishes over the years we tried the barbecue ribs for a first last week. They were so tasty and restaurant class we thought. The usual main courses we have are always great and fresh. The actual curry sauce is very nicely flavoured which accompanies the food in a great way. It is a go to takeaway in Prudhoe and is popular and usually quite busy which is a good indication it is good food.

No flavour at all, cold. Overall disappointing not as good as lilium

Good but they need a delivery service. That would be awesome please.

Definitely the best Chinese Takeaway in the Tyne Valley. Service and Delivery is prompt with the food always delivered lovely and hot.Everything we have ever ordered has been absolutely delicious .The set menus are great value and like all good Chinese Takeaway’s they are not adverse to you swapping dishes.Fabulous and highly recommended.

Ordered a takeaway. Food evidently heated up in cartons. Cheap tasking meat. Greasy. Beef that you need to chew for ages to even allow your digestive system to digest

This Chinese consistently delivers great food. By far the best Chinese in the tyne valley. The gentleman who is front of house is always extremely pleasant and prices are great.

Outstanding ! I love the food from here , I just wish my wife and waist would let me eat from here more often. Popped in last night on my drive back to Prudhoe from Beverley, phoned my order in and it was ready to collect bang on time. Fresh tasty food , cooked well . Chinese food isn't my main choice when choosing a take-away, but I'm always split between here (And another in Prudhoe) - Manager (Or owner) here is quite chatty if you talk to him and the food is always great, never had anything I didn't like. I once went in unsure of the difference between to spicy sauces so he brought me some out to try - It's just the little things like that, that make a place great :D

The food here is the best chinese takeaway i have ever had and believe me i have eaten a few in this country. The portions are quite generous and delicious. The gentleman who serves you is very happy polite and helpful. I travel nearly 40 miles every Saturday lunchtime! Please try it.

A fine, reasonably priced banquet for four. The ribs were particularly good as were the main dishes.We'll be back....

Picture this. It's friday night, you're hungry, you've already eaten loads of Dhillons, you want to try indian food. Well don't because it's bad. Go to Lotus House instead!!! The people there are dead friendly and the food is great!

Not all it’s cracked up to be, couldn’t even taste the chicken or prawn because the batter was so thick. The sauces were all really sweet

The batter was so thick and heavy that it was hard to taste the chicken and prawns. As for the sauce both the barbecue and sweet and sour were so overtly sweet they were inedible. The chow main was bland. Honestly don’t know why it gets half decent reviews

I lived in Prudhoe for a few years, I have tried others in the area but this is THE one. Customer service is second to non, I moved 6 months ago to a place 25 mins away but I still go to New Lotus House. Excellent food. I will go no where else...when they are closed for the holidays I count the days til they return hahaha I went somewhere else the other day out of the area....never again!!!!

had some bad experiences with takeout but this one is brilliant. It's best to ring and place your order as everything is made fresh. The serving people are very polite and chatty but the food is amazing.

For the 15 years we have lived in the area, New Lotus House has been my family's first choice for a Chinese takeaway. A good range of food at reasonable cost and reliable, too. 'Nuff said.

Great takeaway shop! I visit this place 2-3 times a week. The food is always cooked fast and at the same high standard everytime I go. *They do the best salt & pepper dishes* The guy who serves is so lovely too!

Very helpful and made me something which wasn't on the menu. Food delicious although I ended up with boiled rice when I had ordered fried rice but it was so tasty I didn't mind.

This takeaway is very popular so don't be surprised if you have to wait a while for your food. It would be best to order by phone, but that could take a while at busy times too. The food is fab!

We take out here on a regular basis. We have never had a disappointing meal. The owner is clean friendly and helps out with meal selections when you are unsure what to choose. The chicken and sweetcorn soup is delicious and I would recommend the king prawns in chilli bean sauce. It's a favourite of ours as are the chown mein dishes. Definitely better than most, hence the queues and busy phone line. Be patient, it's worth it!
