Excellent takeaway. Food ready on time, large portions and very tasty.

Dreadful! Ordered food over to caravan park said would be an hour so after a hour I rang to see where it was was told had lost the order and had to reorder it!!! Over 2 hours in total was meant to get free prawn crackers for spending £38 but no nothing and the food was disgusting had to order from another Chinese as it all went in bin! DO NOT order from here!

Ordered over 2 hours ago and still waiting absolutely slow at delivering

First visit was yesterday but I will surely be back, the best salt and pepper chicken ever.

This owner is a total crook! I placed an order for delivery and then i was phoned by one of his staff telling me I have to pay a further £3 for delivery, so the total would have been £6 🤦 I asked how far they were thinking it must be miles away and she looked on Google tor my hotel and it was a 7 min drive 🤷 he's got a rip off list on his wall and he charges some folk £14 delivery. he charged me £5.50 for salt and pepper CHIPS but you get skinny wet FRIES, paid for a 2 litre bottle of Fanta and when I got there I ended up with small cans, don't support this absloute whopper of a human ripping you locals off big time. Food 2/5 Service 1/5

We recently ordered some dishes and all of then lacked flavour. Most of the sides were really sweet even though it was mentioned in the menu as spicy. The chicken fried rice was extremly blant. Did not like it at all.

The food used to be good, but it's definitely gone downhill. £15 spent tonight and the food has gone in the bin.

Edible, nothing to write home about, visited once won't be back. First Chinese we have tried in the area, and been told there are better ones.

First chinese I've had in Berwick area, and thought I was ordering from a different one until I punched in the postcode! So I didn't know it was there, tucked into a housing estate in Tweedmouth, sort of behind the Tweedmouth Retail park. Enough of the geography, onto the food! I ordered Sweet & Sour Pork with Fried Rice, and portion of Salt + Pepper Chips. Food ready exactly when advised on the app. Cash only, so luckily I was near a cashpoint when I realised that. Food was excellent. Massive portion (8 huge pork balls), piping hot, freshly made. Chips were perfect. I'd definitely recommend this if you are in the area, and after a Chinese takeaway night in.

Do not order from here!!! Ordered a £60 meal and the only thing that showed up was the duck and prawns crackers 😡non of the main meals came! Absolutely disgusting that they just sent that.

Great wee takeaway in Berwick-upon-Tweed not far from caravan park. Good food and very reasonable prices.

Have had food from this premises before whilst on holiday in Berwick and we couldn’t rate it highly enough so on our second holiday to the area we thought ye let’s order a Chinese takeout again…… well what a contrast… ordered 2 sweet and sour chicken with 2 noodles and extra sauce… chicken fried rice… beef curry and fried rice… and chips… what arrived chicken balls and noodles no sauce… beef curry with no rice which the curry was that hot nobody could eat it.. chicken fried rice with a couple bits o chicken in it… phoned to see where the sauces etc were and told that they would send it out in 15 mins or so… what good is that 25/30 mins later as our food was already getting cold… waited last night and today for the owner to call but nothing… phoned the premises tonight and spoke to the very nice girl who phoned the owner but he refuses to give me a refund cause he sent out the sauces 1/2 hr later… absolute disgrace and will never recommend or use again… even recommended to friends today not to use this company tonight as they were going to be ordering a Chinese… surely their name and reputation is more important than giving me a refund for the items that did not arrive and getting a bad review… obv not !!!

Ordered a Chinese to berwick holiday park due to poor quality on site food after finding china house on Google, food was absolutely phenomenal 5 star quality and the delivery was quick and preorder option was brilliant. So. We saw the reviews were not quite what we would like to read but after 2 pints. It was the closest. Bonus. The food was amazing. Loved the crunchy veg and the portions were very generous. So glad we had a spot of CBA Thank you very much for a cracking meal.

Our go to Chinese and we live half an hour away

A good but not amazing takeaway with excellent sized portions. Highly recommend ribs and Singapore noodles. We were hungry and probably over ordered but we had loads left over. All very tasty but a bit miffed we had to order rice as we didn't need it and felt it was a waste of food. They'd be better off charging for rice and not giving it away to save on wastage. Would definitely recommend though.

Delicious food, good portions, clean and hot! Recommend food, will definitely go again. Rice and noodles were tasty. Pork and chicken dishes had plenty of meat in too.

Fast, and friendly service …delicious food, generous proportions, huge number of choices on menu, cannot think how they manage to produce such a varied range of dishes, highly recommended whether dinner for meal for one or a family feast.

This used to be one of the best Chinese takeaways In Berwick, that’s no longer the case. Cheaper cuts of chicken in the chicken curry and a change to the recipe of the special fried rice means I shall not be back, such a shame for a takeaway that I used to recommend to people.

Great Chinese just a 10 minute drive from Haggerston Castle. Recommended by the Caravan Owner and we were happy with it.

The food was ok. Very quick in cooking. It's a takeaway, so atmosphere isn't relevant.

Was probably the worst thing I have had in years I ordered a chicken chowmain and barbecue spare ribs phoned back and been blanked since my food was more salty than the sea after waiting a good hour for it I had to cook food for my son at10 at night cos couldn't eat what we got told it would be sorted that night or next no 1 sorted it bussing with that

Good portions always tastes fantastic!

Ordered tonight at 8.05pm and was told 1 hour delivery. Food arrived at 10.42pm. We ordered a banquet 4 and it said it came with half a duck. When it came, there was only quarter of duck, the salt and pepper chips were cold and the food was that unappealing that my dogs wouldn’t even eat it. I would highly recommend this takeaway to absolutely nobody. Instead, save your money and eat elsewhere, you’d get more taste from a homeless man’s toothbrush.

Very friendly, welcoming staff. The order was prepared fairly quickly and came with a free bag of prawn crackers. If, like my, you often don't carry cash, the off licence a few doors down has a cash machine inside. Unfortunately, you are charged £1.80 to withdraw your own money!, but this is England. The food was fair. When comparing it with other Chinese takeaways, it was certainly at the level of expectation. The curry sauce tasted great, and the chicken chow mein smelt and tasted just like i was hoping it to.

Rang for an order for delivery at 18:50, got told delivery be 1hour to 1hour 20. Yes fine fair enough, know will be busy ect and don’t mind waiting a little over. Still sat waiting at 19:30 rang up to be told delivery had left the shop be with me soon. Still no received an order at 19:55. Re rang up at 19:55 to be told the same again be with you soon. At this point we are sick of waiting as been over 2 hours and the delivery had left the shop at least 30 minutes ago, so will be cold and not nice by this point. So asked to cancel the order. The women on phone said yes fine. Delivery driver still turns up at door at 20:10 nearly 2 and half hours since ordering. Told him we’d cancelled the order, due to the timings and knowing been left the shop over 40 minutes at this point. He still asked if I wanted it and told me food was hot and to feel. Food was stone cold!

We were very pleased with our order - the food was hot, well cooked and very enjoyable. The portion sizes were generous too.

Worst Chinese I have had for ages. Ordered just after 6.30pm and arrived just before 8.30pm... Driver said sorry if you're food is cold? I'm sorry what it shouldn't be cold regardless. Chips were disgusting, soggy and half cooked. Chicken in curry was very tough and chewy. Do not recommend atall.

We ordered a Chinese for 9:30 instead we are waiting over an hour for the delivery, with still no answer from the manager or knowing where our Chinese currently is! If you’re thinking of ordering a Chinese go elsewhere, this has happen a twice now with the first time thinking it was a fluke. Shocking delivery and organisation.

First time trying this Chinese but had a cracking feed out of it. Next time I'm down this way again I'll certainly use it again 👍

Just picked up an order from this place and order was wrong, when l phoned up to complain they were very very unhelpful and rude and asked me what l wanted to do about it and as l had just drove nearly 7miles there and back l said l wanted them to sort it and l was not driving another 14miles for there mistake they said they would give me discount next time l came back, no chance l will ever give them my custum again

Order at 8-50 no order by 10-07 rang up said it had left shop ten mins ago told the lady on fone wait ten more minutes or driver can turn back around, the rabbits outside the caravan were starting to look like chop suey rolls, so at 10-17 no delivery remember this is Wednesday night not a Saturday which I could forgive, trying it out tonight to order the following night for 8 adult and 2 children so a lot of missed income for this takeaway, won’t be trying or ordering again.

Everything lovely and prepared on time a massive order and good value, only problem was didn't include the prawn crackers we ordered or would have given 5 stars. Sorry wrong place should have been Lee garden 😂😂

Curry sauce like water,rice stodgy and by the time I had driven the two miles home the meal was cold.they have went downhill since it first opened

Picked up food at 6pm. Discovered One meal was missing when we got home. Phoned at 6.15. They were going to deliver it to us. Phoned again at 7.30pm. Told it was on its way. Phoned again at 9.15pm. Rude staff. Food arrived at 9.45pm. Too late to eat. Excuse was they were very busy. Do not take orders you can’t cope with. You had my money and could not supply order. Terrible service. Food was awful. Do not order from this Chinese. Customer service very poor. Other reviews say similar.

We went and got our meals,on returning to haggerston we found one meal missing,phoned and was told it would be delivered time now 18:30,phoned four more times it eventually arrived at 21:40, I got a refund but customer service not good.

Had beef curry fried rice and chips I collected it. the food was lovely the beef was so tender My only criticism is the curry was bulked out with onions and mushrooms Could've had a bit more meat in Would I buy again? Yes

We've just had a very nice takeaway from here as we're staying at a holiday cottage in Warenton and have to say the hour round trip was worth it. We ordered the crispy aromatic duck pancakes, sesame prawn toast and then lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork and crispy shredded beef all of which came with rice or chips included. The standard of the food was good and the friendly service came with a smile. I would definitely recommend this takeaway.

Not easy to find this unassuming takeaway if you are not a local, but it is worth trying!! Unusually, you are able to order online, and the process is relatively easy - and the menu is accessible, which, again, for a first time visitor is helpful. The food was freshly cooked, hot (even after a 25min drive, generous portions and very full of flavours and textures. The chicken curry was a bit too spicy for us, but that is a matter of taste. Thoroughly recommended.

Ordered by phone (cash only if you do it that way) ordered meal D for 4... Best Chinese meal any of us had had in long while. The half duck is a completely full large container more like half a turkey... the special rice is a meal in itself crammed full of prawns and meat... The curry with cashew nuts in didn't just have a sprinkling in it was brimming with them. Its not just the quantity the quality is excellent, everything tasted exactly as it should 100%

Easily the best Chinese takeaway in Berwick-upon-Tweed!

Food was average, delivery and service absolutely horrendous! We ordered from Haggerston Castle at 5pm for delivery at 7pm. After ringing 3 times and being told driver was on park and to wait, it transpired that our order hadn't even been sent out - it arrived after 8pm which was a total joke - barely even an apology from the lady on the phone. When it arrived, food was hot, but chicken was battered (despite requesting not), and duck was extremely fatty. Disappointed.

Stayed at Berwick Holiday Park. Ordered a delivery from this establishment. Food was tasty although thought ratio of sauce to meat and veg was a little more than im used to. Easy to order on line cash on delivery. Oredered and arrived 90 mins later which is a bit longer than claimed on website but not too much of a problem again. Really liked that you could track your order and that they delivered straight to caravan. If in area would order again

Website said an hour for delivery so placed order, called after 70 mins and was first told just getting packed up to then be told it would be another 45mins, close to a 2 hour delivery isn’t good!

Holidaying near by, friendly staff, good delivery time, food lovely would definitely recommend and use again, only lost 1 star due to beef in special curry didn't taste very nice but everything else good!!

Ordered a few times from here to Riverside 18 at haggerston castle, absolutely beautiful even traveling the distance they do, food comes piping hot and fresh! Usually get told 1hr n half wait but usually gets here within 45mins 👌

Hit and miss this place but the food is mostly always greasy.. Too greasy infact. Disappointing as staff just don’t seem to care anymore

We have had many dishes and all are very tasty. Delivery time counts down on your computer so you can check when it will arrive (early or on time) never late.

Definitely recommend this place food is 10/10 very good prices and you get lots of food delivery was fast too

Called China house for meal to be collected they said 30 mins and it was ready when we went piping hot we had chicken chow mein Chicken fried rice also chips and portion of gravey everything was lovely portions good and prices good excellent chinese

Food is great as always! The munchy box is awesome for £15 and fills two easily. The delivery driver Refat is a great guy, very friendly and always gets the food delivered on time big shout out 🤙.

I ordered prawn toast and king prawn chow-main. The prawn toast was perfect it was crunchy and soft in the middle with not much grease and the chow-main was great with really nice prawns. The delivery was quick and the driver was very friendly. Would recommend.

Being new to the area and after a few let downs we had given up hope of finding a Chinese takeaway to our liking. So pleased we tried China House. The staff are very friendly, the food good quality, generous portions and great value. We will definately be back.

Starters were just a box of deep fried grunge chicken curry dried out never again not fresh food at all reheated

Don't get it. Why set up a takeaway and then produce this rubbish ? The mains tasted like supermarket ready meals at best . You might as well by Birds Eye chicken grills , slice them up and put them in a jar of Chinese sauce . It would be more authentic . If I did not know what my main was I would not have been able to identify it . Tasteless . The special mixed had such little meat it may as well have been a vegetable dish. On the plus side , the Pancake Rolls are decent and the delivery was spot on . Honestly , if you live in the area , go to the supermarket and by a Chinese boxed meal .

The only Chinese takeaway we will head to. The whole family love it, great tasting food, generous portion sizes and fast delivery!
