Was highly recommended this restaurant from a few people and said they have never had a better meal . Had booked a table to have a meal with friends had to cancel table as friend was poorly. Decided to get a takeaway I wish I hadn’t had chicken pakora it was a diced size bit of chicken in unseasoned large amount of batter . The chicken Shri Lankas chicken wasn’t cooked enough , sauce tasted like it was out of a jar . The Bhuna was so spicy hot I couldn’t eat it . Didn’t want to post a picture of my bin cause that’s where it went . Bag of crisps for tea it is. Very disappointed ☹️☹️☹️

Just had a takeaway from the Taj Mahal while stopping in Amble. Online order was straightforward and it was waiting for me when I got to the restaurant. Ordered a starter and main, both were very tasty with enough left for lunch tomorrow. Can recommend the restaurant and would happily call in again.

We used to use this place regularly and had no issues. Today I collected a lamb curry which was un eatable. The lamb was chewy and the chips had changed since previously using this take away, they were hard and more like kabab chips. It was cold, the staff took 10 mins to sort the bill and couldn’t figure out the amount to charge. Clearly changed hands. Don’t waste your money use the Damaka around the corner, quality food.

Moti Jheel has long been our go-to spot for Indian takeaway in Cramlington, and for good reason. Despite strong competition in the area, this restaurant stands out with its authentic, varied menu featuring traditional Indian dishes and chef’s specials. The generous portion sizes and consistently delicious food make it an easy choice for us. While primarily a takeaway favourite, Moti Jheel is also a great option for dining in. It’s a relatively small, cosy restaurant with friendly and attentive service, offering excellent value for money. The recent redecoration has added a fresh touch making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. We most recently visited with a group of 18 for a New Year’s Eve celebration, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They managed to seat us all together and only required a £10 per person deposit, which we found very reasonable. Some of our personal favorites include the Onion Bhajis, Chicken Tikka Bhuna, and the occasionally indulgent Chicken Tikka Korma, which is truly moreish. Moti Jheel is a modest place but solid choice for great food and service. Recommend!

Absolutely avoid luke the plague! We booked this hotel as it said it was pet friendly and after a phone call to the hotel confirming that there was no extra charge for my 2 dogs . After a 3 hour drive we arrived and went to check in and was "greeted " by a very aggressive Asian man shouting that he was busy and i would have to wait. After a few minutes he slammed a pen and a form on the counter and simply said complete this. I filled in the form biting my tongue more for my wife's sake. I handed him the forms back and he demanded £120 which i questioned as we had already payed for our stay with booking.com. For the dogs he shouted and i explained that I had already confirmed with the hotel that there wouldn't be a charge for this. £120 must be paid for the dogs he demanded in a very aggressive manner to which i replied who do you think you are talking to? He turned away and disappeared! I spoke to another member of staff after waiting 10 minutes and he told me that the man i was speaking to was the manager and he had left the hotel and didn't know when he would be back. We had to book another hotel at short notice and eventually got our money back through our credit card as both the hotel and booking.com refused a refund.
