Not up to usual standards The red naga is usually our preferred takeaway but the last meal was truly awful. Starter was acceptable at best but the main which was a chicken tikka bhuna was basically inedible and the garlic and corriander naan bread was cold and tough. I don't know what has gone wrong, whether they have changed chefs or something but we won't be ordering from here again..

We got a menu threw our door, despite living in cramlington a few years we had never actually realised that such a amazing indian takeaway was right on my our doorstep. I would go as far to say it was the best indian takeaway i had every had, and even better than some restaurants i had eaten out in. They do a £14.95 special on a Thursday, (£15.95 if order online for pick up as theres a £1 service charge for ordering online)., delivery is also a option. You get so much food for such a great price, when we first ordered this we did not expect much food for the price we paid, but theres so much food for the price. You get a starter, curry, rice, choice of chips etc, choice of naan, poppadom, salad and mint sauce. And the food is so tasty, could not recomend this place enough, would give it ten stars if i could!.

Do NOT use the online ordering system. Costs £1 extra even when paying cash!! For some reason, an additional £1 was added to my order even though I paid cash on collection. I will phone my order through from now on, or just call in.

Really enjoyed the food here. People say it cost alot. But nothing more than stinking pizzas and kebabs that all takeaways are charging now. I'd prefer quality over low grade food any day.

We moved to the area earlier on this year and have tried all of the local Indian restaurants. After a recommendation in a local pub, tonight we thought we would try a takeaway from Red Naga. The online ordering was easy and fuss free. We chose a delivery time of 7pm and the driver turned up a couple of minutes before 7, excellent service. The food was lovely and tasty too. Recommended. We will definitely use Red Naga again.

Just had an awesome meal, couldn’t eat it fast enough!! Defiantly will order again soon. Full of flavour and amazing pilau. All for 11 quid too. 100% would recommend!

Just moved into the area went for a walk I come across this shop went in got a main tikka meal staff was so so friendly wasn’t keen on the chicken on bone hate chicken on bone my fault but am definitely going back to try other food thank you

My new favourite Indian takeaway!

After using Red Naga for years as our favourite takeaway disappointed to say they have lost a loyal customer. Ordered my normal order ie they tell me what I order when I ring they gave me a much hotter dish by mistake so I rang up they insisted that’s what I ordered even though I didn’t order no differently from normal so offered to change it but I would have to pay for it. In reply to the owners response NO it wasn’t explained to me CLEARLY and NEVER did I ask for anything free (charity) it definitely wasn’t explained to me about a manager coming out himself to deliver me a masala. Member of staff on the phone mentioned a masala by delivery with a discount on delivery but that it would be a while as were busy obviously with it being a Saturday. I explained the facts how I see it. Maybe the manager could have spoken to me himself instead of his RUDE!! response claiming I expect charity. I have ordered on the app for a while now so can’t understand why I would order it wrong I always order the same order.

Ordered online, chose three meals plus rice and naan bread. Delivered hot with an hour. All meals tasted perfect! Will definitely return.

Being extremely honest, the experience of this takeaway was first class, right from phoning in my order to picking it up and then devouring it... The food was fresh and tasty, not overly spiced , to me an authentic meal indeed will definitely return (again)

Just ate here and it was hands down one of the best Indians I have ever ate will be back!!!! There was loads of big chunks of Meat in curry

Tried this place several times now and find it consistently close to perfection. Whilst others have gotten greedy and are using cheap spices etc, red naga seems to be using very good quality ingredients, and the difference is noticeable from the delicious flavours. Clearly an experienced chef, as the meals retain flavour even on the hotter curries. Ordering on the phone has been a very fast, efficient service, and food has been ready for collection on time, every time! Even with the fine quality, I still believe the prices could be better, so that's the only downside. Improve your prices and with food this good, your sales and profit margins will rise.

Full of flavour, nicest Indians around town. Delivery driver was also very polite and friendly.

Omg!!! I wish I could give 10 stars!!! After trying a few local Indian takeaways after moving to the area in September I cannot express how delicious the food was !!! 😊 puts every other place to shame !! A little bit further out but food was still hot . I made a mistake with delivery/collection but the member of staff I spoke to was so helpful and sorted everything out . They gave a 60 minute wait time but arrived early. Very good portion sizes and lovely fresh salad !!! Onion bhajis were amazing !! The keema rice is the best I’ve ever tasted and the popodoms were huge !!! Loads of meat in the curries ! I cannot find anything negative about this place . So definitely will be are favourite take out .

Red Naga has been my Indian takeout from the day they opened. They consistently deliver the best tasting best value curry’s in the area. Every dish I have ever had has been restaurant quality. Last nights surpassed all I have ever had there. Not sure if different chef or different supply but chicken tikka was soft and moist all dishes piping hot and super tasty. Shout out to Taxa and Robbie and all the kitchen staff. Absolutely awesome.🥰

I am an experienced eater of Indian food and very particular where I buy from. Red Naga has always impressed me and so have the staff, who are always friendly and polite! I look forward to many more lush meals from them!

As someone whom loves indian food this take away is certainly one of the best in the area . Consistently excellent. Always deliver within a reasonable time and the food is delicious. Chicken tikka Korai comes highly recommended and they do all the traditional currys very well . Their naga dishes are delicious as well . Try the handcut chips also for a change . Rices are delicious as well . I have other take aways closer to home but use Red naga for consistently good food .

Restaurant standard absolutely delicious, very tasty came quick and was hot just phenomenal food! My go to place from now on!

Absolutely rank. First complaint was that only half the order got delivered. Second complaint, when the rest arrived (korai chicken) it was dry as a bone, chicken crumble!! Bah ! Never again! People that rate this as 4🌟plus mustn't have been to a nice curry house.

Lovely food, friendly staff. Only disappointment was that they didn't have the starter I would usually have from an Indian restaurant on their menu. I'm sure it was there last time but then again the restaurant may have been under different management then. Otherwise highly recommend.

If you have not been here you are missing out. I've had a few meals from here since it was recommended to me and it's simply faultless every time. Lovely staff, great food, what's not to like (apart from my growing belly ;-) )

Wow unbelievable cant fault a single thing

Used this place for years, they started packing bags differently and the curry started getting crushed in the bottom of the bag and spilling out. They originally were happy to replace, the manager even visited our house to see what the issue was and saw straight away what the problem was and admitted they needed to pack the bags differently. had a break for a few weeks and ordered again tonight. Delivered with the same issue as before and I'm basically being called a liar. The food has also gone downhill, not sure if they have a new chef but certainly not as nice as it used to be. Spend a couple of extra pounds and get nicer food elsewhere in Cramlington. Such a shame.

Yet another fantastic meal from The Red Naga. The Thursday night feast is unbeatable. The delivery service is great and the food is always piping hot. I opt for the hotter more traditional Bangladeshi dishes but there is something on the menu for everyone. The best Indian takeaway in Cramlington by far.

This is the first time I have ordered anything from here, I have to say this has got to be the best Korma and chicken biryani I have had, not spicy or salty . perfect. Hubby really enjoyed it too.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but I felt the curries were very watery and the rice at the bottom was rather soggy. On the plus side the nann bread was nice, and the delivery was prompt

Ordered a couple of meals for delivery using their app. When they eventually arrived the rice was cold, the curries not that hot nor spicy and the chips were luke warm and not chips but large lumps of potato not even fried properly. Had to heat everything up in the microwave/oven. That will be the last time I order from this takeaway. They need to up their game as the food was poor.

e have only been using this restaurant for a few month due to the lockdowns. I can honestly say as someone who has tried many Indian restaurants all over the UK, this place is amazing! The Naga Royal is particularly good😎 The second time we used them, they left out one meal by accident. We always collect our food because of the delays and mistakes you usually get with other places. But I phoned them and the guy who took my order couldn't have been more apologetic and as we only lived a few blocks away, he run it round himself within 5 minutes! Now that is what I call good customer service. We now live 14 miles away from there, but after trying the local places I prefer to drive there and get the best Indian food I have ever had. If I phone my order through, I can drive there and only have to wait a few minutes, so it works perfectly for me👍

Ordered for delivery today , we havnt ordered for a while. The food came piping hot totally delicious generous portions. The website and app are so easy to use. Really enjoyed bhuna prawn on puree packed with prawns. Highly recommended, many thanks

Red Naga is hands down the best Indian takeaway in Cramlington. Their wait time on a weekend can be up to 2 hours at the minute but it’s worth the wait to have great quality food made to order. I have never had a bad meal from here and the customer service is great.

Definitely the best Indian takeaway in the area. The food is amazing. Its quite expensive, however if you order on a Thursday you get 6 courses for just £12.50 and its loads of food! It ends up being almost half price compared to other days of the week.

We order from Red Naga at least twice a month now. The food is always amazing. We live in Killingworth but never have to wait too long for our order to be delivered. Like I have said before, the app and website make it easy to order, pay and specify a time. We have never waited for our food beyond 1.5 hours.

We ordered during lockdown on a saturday night. We do expect takeaways during this time to be busier than normal. We ordered at 5:45 and the indication was that we would recieve our meal by 7pm. We then recieved a further e-mail saying that we would recieve our food by 8pm. 8pm was reached so I rang and spoke to a guy who seemed to be in charge or the owner, and explained the food had not arrived yet. He was instantly defensive and unapologetic and told me that it is lockdown and that we were sent an email with a corrected time. I countered that we had waited 2 1/4 hours and considering this was our first time ordering and the positive reviews that we had expected better. This was greeted with "well if its not quick enough for you then maybe you shouldnt order" I was quite outraged by this poor customer service and told him so. Although he was apologetic after this, i feel the damage and first impression to a first time customer had been done. A driver was sent and out foor arrived at 8:20pm (we had paid the optional driver tip already!)The food itself was very tasty, but unfortunately came to us luke warm at best, the naan certainly seemed like it had been sitting for a while.It is a shame that my first review on tripadviser should be a little negative - there are plenty of other takeaways to choose from and although we won;t be returning to this one, I hope the manager/owner can take on board my comments and improve customer service and speed of deliver.

We had an amazing meal delivered last night. Absolutely delicious food (mushroom pilau rice and chicken tikka bhuna). I love ordering on the website or app and being able to specify a time. I also recommend the Thursday night meal deal. Excellent value. This is definitely the best takeaway around.

They have a great variety in currys and all taste delicious personally I think it is the best takeaway in the local area

Been living in the area for almost a year, tried many Indian restaurants, & this one is definitely going to be our favourite, 1st time ordering & won't be our last, food was piping hot & delicious, even our 4 yr old daughter emptied her plate, enjoying every mouthful, keep up the excellent work & thank you.

We ordered our Friday night takeaway from here. Starters, Mains and Sundries. The meal was delivered quickly and very hot. Delicious as always. The meat is always of a very high standard and the choice of mains is outstanding. A fab takeaway.

Despite being the last day of eat out to help out the Red Naga kept the service at top level.The dexor and ambience were just right. The staff were very attentive and Covid procedures in place.The food was brilliant. Even the poppadoms were warm and fresh. The menu had all the favourites but also a lot a different and interesting meals. By far the best meal I have had in months and very reasonably prices.

Had a super meal delivered to our door my Sister and I thoroughly enjoyed a meal deal would use them again and again and again x x

I ordered the Thursday night banquet to be delivered. The food arrived piping hot and delicious. The choice of starters and curries will cover all tastes I prefer the hotter variety and there a lot to try, not just your standard vindaloo or phall. Very reasonably priced and great management.

We ordered from the Thursday Night Feast menu with a couple of additions and were extremely pleased with absolutely everything. First time we have ordered from here but it will certainly not be the last! We collected our order and it was ready on time, well packed for transporting and the shop appeared very clean and well organised. Overall good value for money as we would highly recommend giving it a try.

Being regulars we welcomed the lockdown service. As usual, tonight we enjoyed the food and defy anyone to beat the value of their Thursday night special. However, there were two minor disappointments today. The delivery charge is reasonable, and we are happy to pay a tip, but they have now added a £1 online ordering charge, which is very naughty. The second issue was that we asked for a specific time and the meal was delivered half an hour early - before we were ready. Ten minutes either way is fine, but thirty minutes is excessive!

First time we have ordered food from here. Red Naga was recommended to us. The food was really good value and absolutely lush! It arrived pretty quickly on a Saturday night. Only thing I would mention is... we were told to pay cash on delivery. Delivery lad brought food right to the door and waited for money with no thought of social distancing. A bit more care should be taken during the current circumstances.

Our meal was delivered promptly. However that's where the good news stops.The meal was probably the worst take way/delivery I have ever had. Everything was cold and generally inedible. The Roti was so cold and so hard we could not get our teeth through it - Onion Bhaji not far off. Eventually we gave up and threw out most of the meal.Unfortunate because we have had good service in the past.

Excellent food, well recommended to my friends, will go back asap. The fat delivery driver however is NOT as funny as he thinks he is :)

We often order take away from here. I think the price is above average for sundries but the food is delicious. Last night we had chicken chatt on puree ( ok but not as good as usual, a bit warery and mild on this occasion). We had chicken balti, chicken dansak and mushroom pilau, all excellent. I used to order chicken tikka in the curries but plain chicken is more succulent. We live in the next town so sometimes food is not piping hot so we usually give it a blast in the oven which isn’t a problem. The thing that I would love Red Naga to improve are the naan breads. They are fairly small, pale, heavy and flat. I like mine light, bubbly and well done with black onion seeds.

After hearing so much about this take away we decided to try it. Staff were very friendly and nice but wish I could say the same about the food. By the time we got it home it was so cold (3 mins drive) so had to reheat it. Main course was tasty but sides bland in comparison to our usual one. Was good to try but won’t be returning

Not written a review for a while so just a quick one to say Red Naga remains the best Indian in th UK!! I keep to the hotter dishes and all are superb. Last night's chicken tikka Jaipur was devine. Taxa and team you need to be super proud of the constant quality of your food, service, portion sizes and value for money. You are that good I never say do you fancy a curry or Indian tonight, I say do you fancy a Red Naga!!! I think 'Red Naga' needs to be added to the dictionary to describe the best Indian takeaway in Cramlington. Cheers guys, David x

This was my favourite Indian Take Away. Ordered two meals 6pm on a Saturday and they were delivered an hour or so later. The food was cold and the lamb in my dish seemed powdery, as if it was old meat. I have given five stars for previous visits, alas this was the second consecutive meal which I believe was not good enough. Next time I have an Indians it will not be from here.

I ordered in person. They provided my food and in good time. I ordered Tandoori mix grill, veg Masala, King Prawn Bhuna, mushroom Pelaw. Kema naan. The food was piping hot and delicious.

good at first but i complained about lack of meat in a meal as others have complained too,then got the owners life story about not driving taxis and this being his main business etc,he does not like any negatives whatsoever and will insult you when you do have a complaint,as he will with this review...! Lovely food and the Thursday night special is incredible value. Delivery can take a while however I put this down to testament of how nice the food is.

My family are now regulars of this take away, they by far provide the best tasting and quality Indian food in our area.We tend to order online which I find quick and easy, we are kept up to date with the preparation of our order and when it is leaving with a driver.The food arrives hot and ready to savour and/or demolish

One bit of advice, stop reading this review and order your food now! You will not regret this at all guaranteed! This takeaway restaurant is absolutely astounding! I can honestly not praise these guys and girls enough! Personally I have never done an online review but with the service and effort put into the food I feel compeled to tell everyone how good it actually is. You will not be disappointed at all with your food and once you've tried it, you will be recommending it to all of your friends, it's that good! This is an establishment that has been in Cramlington for years and years and believe me, they know what they are doing. The prices are an absolute bargain for what you get and you will be very, very hard pushed to get better anywhere else. Buy it, try it and guaranteed you will love it. A+++ EVERY TIME!

Downloaded the Red Naga app tonight after reading reviews of this takeaway it said 10% off when you down load the app so it came within the hour, ping hot and ok, but not very nice tasting, I was starving but still my wife and i did not finish the meal we talked about it and .... we were both disappointed and you don't get 10% off hate being lied to. Won't be ordering there again.

This is my 2nd order and absolutely the best ever Indian takeaway . Fabulous place clean and great service. Great App and website obviously on the ball with technology . Would highly recommend , only downside we are Shiremoor so cant deliver. X

We've been looking for a takeaway in the area for a while. Had some good meals at other takeaways but quality has been inconsistent, some weeks ok, next week rubbish. We've had a few different meal's now at Red Naga, and each time they have been excellent. Delivery has always been on time.

Tremendous really tasty best in the area.

I’m a huge fan of this place as the food is consistently very good. However...I’m on a strict diet for weight loss and wellbeing. This and Ghee laden Curries do not sit hand in hand. I spoke to the owner who will ask his chefs about any dietary requirements and I still hit on the mega excellent Thursday Feast. I had Punjab Chicken dry fried for starters with extra salad, well enough for two and a Chicken Naga Royal cooked in a small amount of olive oil, accompanied by a dry lightly olive oil based mixed veg side dish and plain rice. This food was honestly one of the best Indian Takeaways I have ever eaten, very clean and delicious. There was no grease at all and I enjoyed my treat. This was better than any alternative you could buy as a “slimming” meal. The Red Naga goes from strength to strength to provide alternative meal choices suiting all dietary requirements. Just ask them on the phone and the chef will recommend, he did for me.

First time trying the red naga excellent food... I’ve never left a review on anything before but thought that was so nice it deserves my time to write one. When ever I try somewhere new for my Indian meal I always taste the nann bread first to check for freshness, that didn’t disappoint next I try the rice again perfect. I’ve had times when ordering in locally the naan was dry also so was the rice which shows its old In my opinion aka not fresh. The main fresh full of flavour loads of meat really enjoyed it. To conclude I’m glad I changed my normal takeaway & tryed the red naga will try again very soon thanks for the amazing meal. Onion pilau rice Garlic keeme nann Lamb chilli garlic balti

Excellent food brilliant service only place to go

We order from Red Naga pretty much every week, have tried most of the dishes on the menu and can't fault any of them! Always a great reception from Taxa who runs the place, he always makes you welcome.

Been ordering from here for over a year and it never disappoints. It does the best Chicken Pathia we've had in the local area and at a reasonable price. Staff are always friendly when I pick up our order, keep up the good work Red Naga team.

Have been getting our takeaways here for last 3 years, the Food is great and the app is fantastic! However on occasion the amount of meat in our main course (lamb in our case) was sparse - 6 pieces. This has had happened once before and Red Naga took our feedback onboard and were really good about it. Unfortunately it happened again this evening. It happens, not the end of the world albeit disappointing.

Nice food, wide Asian menu selection but what we've had so far has been tasty. Takeout only and they deliver.
