Stopped at Retallack resort and this is the closest takeaway to the place so we decided to eat from there. If you’re picking up, be warned that there’s not a huge amount of parking!! To be fair to them, that prepared a dish for my wife that they don’t normally do which was excellent and all the other dishes that we ordered were very good and tasty. The staff are very friendly and the food is very fresh and cooked in front of you and done quickly so no complaints about waiting around. Overall, if you’re looking for a great Chinese meal in the north Cornwall area, then this is the place to go.

I don't understand the other reviews here. I've been here twice and planning more trips at the moment, although at the time of writing this it is temporarily closed (not sure why). I've been there with my parents and my boyfriend on different occasions and the service was lovely. Food tasted amazing, everything was clean and the plates were warmed. We also enjoyed some of the chocolate fountain. The price is completely reasonable.

So just had a takeaway from sun kong in Holmes chapel and it as to be by far the worst Chinese food we’ve ever had, we had chicken & mushrooms and when we took the lid off it was like someone had just poured slime all over it when we lifted the spoon out it was stuck to it like jelly, the chicken was nothing but pieces of gristle 🤮 we also had chicken lettuce wrap and that was exactly the same just like pure slime mixed with gristly pieces of chicken, the lettuce was brown and looked like it hadn’t been washed, We had a portion of har Kau & Sui mai which was terrible they was cold & very soggy, honestly the food was terrible so I decided to call them to let them know about how bad it was, the lady who answered was the same lady who took our initial order, she was extremely helpful and very polite I offered to bring it back which she said yes please as the chief would want to see it, so I did but when I returned the food another lady came to me, I explained about how bad it was but she was extremely rude and said that’s the way the chief cooks the food and if I didn’t like that then maybe I shouldn’t order it, which I found highly insulting, obviously if I knew that’s how it would come I would’ve never ordered it in the first place especially as there’s so many other very good Chinese takeaways within 5 or 6 miles radius, Also they didn’t offer anything to try and rectify the situation Not a refund Not a replacement meal Not anything All in all by far the worst Chinese food I was going to say in Cheshire but probably the worst in the country, (AVOID AT ALL COSTS) 5 stars to the lady who took my order Minus 1 star to the other lady Minus 5 stars for the quality of the food.

Don’t bother ! Years ago this takeaway used to be the best in town, since the 70’s it’s changed chefs/management various times and you’d expect a little variation but this evening’s takeaway was awfully bland, poor quality and we were given the wrong dish, despite the girl repeating our order at the counter. The Sweet & Sour Prawn Balls we ordered turned out to be tough dry Pork Balls at home, we couldn’t eat them they were so dry and tough (see pic). The Special fried rice had nothing special about it. It was dry, flavourless and uninspiring with tiny chopped bits of meat, egg and peas. (See pic) The House Chow Mein used to have slices of Char Siu, beef, jumbo prawns and chicken bursting with vibrant flavours with spring onion and garlic BUT not anymore, the noodles tasted like they’d been stored in an old plastic container as the dish had that tainted flavour. The Chicken Satay was clearly factory produced and brought in, it was stringy breast moulded into shape densely coated with the sauce. It really wasn’t nice at all. I gave them 1 star because my son was able to eat the free prawn crackers, not bad for £25.70, never again. Tasted so bland, we left 90% of it !!

Went into here not expecting major food but had no queues. We ordered food and drinks and everything arrived really quickly and so fresh and hot. The curry was the best curry I have had in a long time, even the egg fried rice was so good. Reasonable drink prices too. Will definitely go back.
