The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Very sad as i have used this place for years and always very good my last 2 out of 3 home deliveries have arrived very late and been very cold and inedible i wont be using them again for some time

Checking times. Tonight. OCT 2023 Closed for refurbishment. A FOLLOW-UP. FEB.. 2025. I JUST DON'T KNOW WHY THEY ARE STILL CLOSED. ONCED SAID LAST YEAR THEY WERE GETTING A NEW CHEF. ????. I have to say it's the only local Chinese restaurant to sit in. The other two are Take Aways. I took a takeaway home. A Beef Curry (sauce a little hot)(not your normal curry sauce, in-house made.) and Plain Boiled Rice. Also Fried Noodle (thin type) and Beef (not chow mein) (there are a bits of green pepper, mushrooms, in it) also asked for Bean Sprouts with added onion, (perfect) Fried Rice and Sweet and Sour Sauce. (It had in it onions, cucumber, carrots, and chucks of pineapple. Got to be made in-house and fresh).

Habiendo visitado Lee Jardín muchas veces y no revisados, sólo quería decir que siempre es bueno. El servicio es amable y el personal más joven masculino siempre son divertidos. Esto añade a la atmósfera familiar. La comida es genial. Mi favorito es el Cordero mongol de arranque. Recomiendo Lee Garden de todo corazón.

Just had such a good takeaway this evening that I wanted to review the restaurant straight away. Really good quality food at a very reasonable price. The salt and pepper chicken is especially tasty and the prawn toast which was so fresh and had lots of whole prawns on top. Will definitely be ordering again!

Being in my early 40s now and having many Chinese takeaways over 3 decades, this is absolutely hands down our favourite Chinese and the only place we get from now! As you can see in the pic the sweet and sour chicken melts in the mouth, very generous portions such as the salt and pepper chicken which is our favourite starter, super friendly and efficient staff and very reasonable prices, cannot recommend highly enough! What a fabulous time we had, dinner at Yangtze Chinese restaurant in Windsor. We were a large group and their staff were efficient in bringing out the food and topping up our drinks. Excellent value for “Eat as much as you want”, the food is always good and it’s a great place for a group to share food. The staff have been there years and they can judge the amount of starters and duck pancakes you need for your party but will bring more if requested. You then choose your mains as required. They took photos of our party, brought out my Birthday icecream with a candle and the “Happy Birthday” song, even gave us complimentary liqueurs with the bill. It’s an annual event to go there and they always remember me. Definitely recommended for groups but not for couples wanting a romantic meal, it’s just not that kind of place. 3 de nosotros fuimos a este Manadarín en julio de 2024, así como mayo y abril. No habíamos estado en años porque el tiempo lasr no era una buena experiencia con bandejas vacías, comida fría y un mal servicio. Las 3 veces de este año fueron excelentes. Las bandejas siempre estaban llenas y la comida caliente con una gran selección de varios platos, así como barra de ensaladas y una gran selección de postres. hicimos reservas ya que íbamos los sábados por la tarde y se pone ocupado. El servicio fue amable y rápido, es tan bueno tener un manadarín más cerca para ir de nuevo con buena comida, selección y servicio. Tan feliz que has mejorado y las 3 veces fueron excelentes. El valor es bueno también. Tenemos la oportunidad de probar tantos platos diferentes y disfrutar de un almuerzo junto con amigos y familiares. Gracias John.

Hadn't eaten here for a while but wanted a celebratory meal out, and was intrigued to see the updated decor I'd read about - it had been a bit tired. It's lovely! Very chic. As you come through the door you enter a calm open area with a desk/bar manned by a welcoming member of staff who escorts you to your table. Seating varied, with a couple of side banquettes as well as 'standard' tables and a large round table for groups - I think eight people were sitting around it when we arrived. We four took one of the banquettes, which can seat six. Great and varied menu, one of the few that carries lamb dishes. For starters we had one mixed platter for two and one seafood platter for two - I love being able to pick at all the differet dishes, so this is a great way to do it. We had been told it might take a little longer for them to come out from the kitchen, but it honestly felt like no time at all. Everything was delicious, we left those platters clean! I loved how the finger towels were served - on a plate, looking like huge tablets until water was poured over them from a teapot. We went on to share Sizzling Lamb Mongolian Style, Kung Po Chicken, Cantonese Duck and Yeung Chow Fried Rice. Two egg fried rices were more than enough between the three dishes, served in lovely barrels with lids to keep them warm. I know all our choices were delicious because - I tried them all. That's part of the joy of Chinese food - the sharing. Service was great, achieving that delicate balance of being attentive without looming over you. My only criticism would be the ladies' toilets. The refit is lovely, but the twin sinks dictated the depth available to the cubicles, with the closed door being just a few inches from my knees. Quite claustrophobic, and I struggle to see how a mother accompanying a small child would be able to close the door on themselves. For two cubicles one sink would suffice, and would allow the cubicle depth to be more accommodating. It was otherwise well suppied and attractive. All round, delicious food and great service in a lovely space.

Fuimos para nuestro almuerzo de Navidad de la oficina en Took Took y todos estábamos extremadamente encantados con la deliciosa comida que nos sirvieron era absolutamente exuberante. La presentación, el sabor y la frescura de los ingredientes fue simplemente divina. Definitivamente volveremos. Gracias a Bunny que nos dio un trato especial y cuidó de todas nuestras necesidades.

Went as part of a group of 18 to celebrate a 60th Wedding Anniversary. Wine list was on table so ordered two bottles of Prosecco and a bottle of Chilean white. Was brought a bottle of champagne which I explained was not what I had ordered. I was then told they only had two bottles of Prosecco, one of which was a Rose. Next my bottle of white wine arrived but it was not what I had ordered. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the situation and was told that a recent change of ownership meant that some of the wines listed were no longer available. I said that really was not acceptable. Why on earth put the wine lists on the tables if they know that many of the wines are not actually available. I was then offered some bottles of wine to choose from. One of the bottles offered to me was a Chenin Blanc which is the ASDA Extra Special Chenin Blanc retailing for £7 in the local ASDA store less than a 100 yards from the restaurant. I believe that it is a potential breach of their alcohol licence to sell bottles of wine bought from a local supermarket. I also think that ASDA would not be happy if they knew their wine was being sold in a local restaurant. Whilst all this was going on nobody bothered to ask us if we were ready to order our food - my wife had to go and ask somebody to come and take the order. A lady, who I presume is the manager, kept a very low profile whilst all this was going on instead of taking charge of the situation. Later during the meal I was told that they had "found" two more bottles pf Prosecco. Will never return to this place for a dine in meal.

Lovely takeaway meal - nice and hot fresh tasting meal. Prompt service upon arrival. Thoroughly recommend and good value for money.Excellent all round.

Llevamos a amigos visitantes de Canadá para una cena a mitad de semana. Todos pensamos que la comida y el servicio era excelente y volveremos pronto.

Its ok to visit, but dont expect too much. Its busy and its all about just restaurants. Some decoration on the street and a nice gate. You can defo dine here very cheap, just to say something positive.

Is China China still open? I went down there with a business friend two Saturday’s ago- peak evening time - and the restaurant was closed. I called the China China number just now and the message was Number Unobtainable. One of my favourite, fun restaurants in town. Hope it’s only a temporary closure.
