China Rose in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

It's delicious, but sometimes they get confused and give you food you didn't order..,🤷‍♂️

Reading some of the negative feedback, all I can say is they must be going to a different China Rose to me. I have been using China Rose since they first opened a few years ago and I never go anywhere else. May be a little more expensive than some places but the Portions are generous and the food is always top class. Highly recommended....

Staff was rude on collection. Food was not like it used to be it was overcooked. No prawn crackers given on an order over £45

Staying in the area and decided to have a takeaway. Quick service, didn't have too long a wait for order and pleasantly surprised when serving out the food that it was piping hot. We had the set meal for two and I added half a duck as well. All very tasty, really enjoyed all the meals. Shame we don't live locally, recommend 🍽️

I dont like chicken so asked fir a chow mein with no chicken I was told you can't do that then I said also could it have chilly and again was told we can't do that again. I was told you can't do that but the answer Is now I won't be using you again and will not recommend you either. It has run down over the years

I would give them a 5 star for their food every day, but service is a 1. We placed an order on NYE at 4:50pm for collection at 6pm. Long story short… food was finally handed over at 7pm and when asked why, we were told walk in is prioritised. So, going forward we won’t be pre-ordering, we will turn up on site and skip the queue of loyal customers that pre-order.

Take away only. Website menu seems to be out of date in terms of pricing compared to actual menu pricing. It was a very busy evening. Only a ten minute wait by ordering in person. One hour twenty to wait for phone in delivery orders.

Possibly one of the worst takeaways for telephone orders in Wisbech, everytime I order for a collection for a certain time they always late, and today I call at 5.15pm for a 6.30pm collection they say it's over 1 hour wait but if I come down and order in person 15 minute wait. erm! did someone do their maths at school. They don't have a clue. There is a little Chinese take away not too far from me, they have now gained a new customer.

Great Chinese takeaway food consistently good

We had to wait an hour and half for food (was advised on phone) this led me to think this must be a popular Chinese. Boy I wasn't wrong. Best Chinese I've had for 20+ years. All 3 of us thourghly enjoyed our meal. Huge portions. So tasty. So well presented. Can't praise highly enough!

Rang for a delivery, gentleman answered the phone and was rude and said they don't deliver even tho their website and menu show deliveries!! Ridiculous!!

always use china rose as its the best in wisbech, tonight was no exception, even better than usual, even the veg was so delicious

First Chinese meal for a while as fed up with getting home to find I had an incorrect order. Not a problem with the China Rose I hasten to add. Order taken quickly, and after a short wait, we were given the best Chinese food I've had since before Covid. Good quality ingredients with nice meat and seafood. We will be back very soon.

Very polite staff. Order was timely. First Chinese restaurant ever to accept card payment from me. Thumbs up China Rose. However, kindly update your menu on Google as prices are not same. In all the food is a 10 over 10.

Food is really nice always choose this chinese, staff nice and helpful until one day chinese woman answered and took my order so rude unprofessional and unpleasant she should learn how to speak to people, shame on you. For this reason I will never spend my money on this service again.

Used to be the best Chinese are asked for extra egg in my fried rice had no egg the chicken was tough and chewy spent over £60 don't know if they have a new chef but the food is nasty now .

Moved up to the area in December, got told about this place after having a few disappointing take aways. Won't look back. Go there most weeks now for our one take away a week. Love the food.

Food is always very nice. Staff are friendly. The place is always clean. Never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for my phone in order.

I went from 3 take aways per year (if that), to 1 or 2 per week! It's too good to resist. I've never enjoyed Chinese take away as much as I do this one. Their fortune cookies are also scarily accurate 🤔😆

Meal was nice, however the rudeness from the staff was despicable, as far as the owner I think the lady was rude on the phone and told me 5 minutes for some chips, I arrived there in the timeframe I was told, as I entered the place I was greeted by this rude member of staff that I’d spoken to and was forced to pay however I wanted to know if my chips was actually ready she then forced the card machine on me and told me it was ready so I paid! I then had to wait another 15 mins for some chips! Morale of the story is stop telling everyone 5 minutes when it’s not and stop being rude to customers on the phone!

I think this is the best local Chinese takeaway. Shame that do not deliver.

The sweet and sour prawns was really disappointing, it tastes nothing like the real thing. Fried noodles was good though. Like others have mentioned, slow service but I don’t think it’s worth it.

Whatever time they tell you, double it, add on 40 minutes, and don't start counting until you arrive to pick it up. It's tastes good, just don't wait until you're hungry.

Just had a takeaway got home to find had no boiled rice with chicken curry when rang to say was missing informed do not get boiled rice unless requested Bthis is not stated on the menu so be aware!

I went here on NYE in 2021, and they place was heaving. Despite the queue out the door and the frequent delivery calls, they were turning high quality food around within 30 minutes. The food was some of the best chinese takeaway food I've had, with portions being more than adequate for one person. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Love the food and the people

Having seen other people's reviews there were no negative comments which is kind of unusual so decided to give them a try. I have to say that the reviews were correct, the food and service was first class and you get plenty of food so my advice is make sure your stomach is on empty.

An extremely popular and busy take away. The staff were friendly and my large order was cooked quickly. I would recommend order by phone during peak times. Plenty of free parking. Food portions were huge and reasonably priced. Quality was good.

The best Chinese takeaway I've ever had. I live in Hereford, and eat from all the local takeaways but none of them are as good as The China Rose. My mum lives at Friday Bridge and I ask for a Chinese takeaway every time I come to visit.

Good food. . Busy. But still had a 25 min wait even after ordering more than an hr ahead. Obviously popular.

Amazing tasty food! and big portions. The trouble is the food is so good that on a Saturday evening the queue is literally out the door (on Saturday evenings I recommend telephoning your order through - as they dont deliver)

Oh my gosh this is THE best Chinese I have ever had.It is a little pricey,but completely worth it & it isn’t too bad. It’s tasty,extremely quick,very well managed & they got my order correct (which is a bonus for me as I usually seem to have a problem) The crispy duck with pancakes is to die for. We will definitely be using them in the future (a lot) The only downside for me as I am a bit lazy,is they don’t deliver,otherwise though,perfect. Thank you.

Best Chinese in Wisbech but not happy with too many people standing close together in waiting area! They need to organise better social distancing! Also we were given a collection time but still waiting over 45 mins later!

WOW WOW WOW, after another hard day we needed a little treat & ordered Spicy salt n chilli king 🍤 Chicken in Satay & Spicy Singapore Fries Rice, what a fantastic choice to really hit the flavour spot. Excellent service and really brought us a little bit of happiness today. Really grateful, also for the free veg spring rolls for a care worker. Thank you, just only wish I had taken a photo before tucking in

Not over impressed,food seemed greasy & more expensive compared other places,woman taking the order had great difficulty picking up my change due to exceptionaly long finger nails that i thought may be not very hygieneic ,this alone put me off so definitely won't go there again.

Doesn’t every Chinese give prawn crackers away? This place doesn’t, really fancied some so reluctantly brought some, they weren’t fresh, chewy and almost brown! Sweet and sour chicken was just a battered farmfoods type chicken fillet with thick gloopy sweet and sour chucked over it 🤢🤢, everything else was standard, wouldn’t go again

The staff were helpful when making an order. They gave a friendly atmosphere and the food was delicious. One of the best Chinese takeaways I have had in a while and I will be going there regularly from now on.

Food is good, once you get it. The delays are horrendous. I ordered at 5.30 to collect at 8.05. Got my order at 8.30 having seen people who ordered later, leaving before me.

Like previous reviewer, they pre cook the meat, shame as there sauces are wonderful it spoils the over all taste of the meal and an be dry when not in a sauce
