Nice meal, great size portions. One main was salty. Had the fixed menu, staff would not change a main course unless we paid for the deluxe menus. First two courses very good, well cooked and presented. Main was good except for prawn in black bean, which was rather salty. Couple on the next table did not eat any of one of their beef mains, saying it was far too salty to eat, so do complain if you can't eat it. We managed ours but would have preferred less salt, rest of the mains were good in quality and presentation.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but these prices are unacceptable and have to be known to people before they visit China Royal in Brigg. We have been visiting this Chinese for years and have always recommended to family and friends etc, but after our visit on 12th January 2025 | can honestly say we will never return. The prices were astronomical. We are fully aware you pay more to sit in the restaurant and not get a takeaway (next door) but £14 for a small chicken curryl £20 for salt and pepper king prawns! £9 for plain noodles is Outrageous. Disgusting that they can charge this and get away with it. The food didn't taste that good, was quite bland actually. Would definitely not recommend this Chinese!!|

We placed an order online for. Set meal for two. We have had this meal before so were confident we knew that the quality of the food would be good. The delivery did not arrive at the scheduled time, it was peak Saturday night takeaway time... so kind of expected some delay. We called to chase up after 30 minutes of the scheduled time; we were told it would be on its way in 10minutes. It was a further 20 minutes and just as we were about to call again that it arrived. The food was still warm and they had put a little extra in for us. We throughly enjoyed our food and will use again. However will probably go too collect. Our experience of most delivery services during COVID on Friday and Saturday has resulted in delays with delivery. So we are judging on the food and only taking of 1 point for the delivery being slow.

We have supported this place for many years and ordered prawn sweet corn soup - on this occasion an elderly lady indicated after order and a long 15 minute wait - place was dead - to tell me they never do prawn sweetcorn soup - sadly less than 3 weeks ago they did - this time called s liar snd charged £4 extra each - so £15 for soup - i will never return

Entrega.

We have just had takeaway from here and it was horrible (worst i’ve ever had). Nothing had any flavour and I had high expectations given I had spent over £50. The chowmein tasted of nothing, the salt n pepper chicken was the driest chicken with no flavour at all and didn’t come with any veg just plain chicken in a box. Rice was edible if curry sauce was on it. Can’t believe we paid £17 for dim sum and the sui mai was rock hard. The starter also came with what looked like mouldy lettuce in the box! Won’t be ordering from here again, stay clear! Will be getting my money back!

We have visited The Spice Exchange many times and never been disappointed. The restaurant is spacious, the tables elegant, with freshly laundered cloths. The food is always delicious: well cooked meat, fish & vegetables, with tasty sauces flavoured with different spices. On top of that, the service is amazing: professional yet friendly; individual yet detached. We always feel like welcome guests, in a huge family home where they remember our names and preferences, and offer the best advice when we can’t decide what we want. Definitely we recommend this restaurant 100%.
