Way outside my price bracket. I am not a wealthy man. I would prefer cheaper prices. C he raper prices would attract more locals.

We have always enjoyed the food—it is always tasty and fresh. We have never eaten in it, but as a takeaway, it is a perfect choice for a good meal.

Although the decor needs attention, don't be put off. This is by far one of the best Chinese restaurants I've eaten at. All that I ordered was top quality, fresh, food. Tastes are amazing, service is always great. Always enjoy my food and visits here.

First off I do not like writing bad reviews but this was awful. The food not only took ages but was tasteless, dry and a waste of money, rice was sticky and bland, and the pot of sauce was not enough to feed a baby. This is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the area with freshly prepared ingredients. It is also our go to for take away. Well worth a visit for the food although lacking in atmosphere.

Large airy restaurant but no atmosphere on a weekday evening with only four tables occupied. Food is average with the chicken satay and ribs, part of the Mixed Hors d'oeuvres starter, quite dry. Arrived too quickly to have been freshly prepared. Grilled dumplings, again average, and bland. However, to be fair, the King Po Beef was definitely above average - well cooked with soft beef and delicious vegetables and sauces. The China Water has little competition in the area but if a quality Chinese restaurant was to open in, say, Wendover of Tring, they would have to up their act.

10 of us went there for a Birthday celebration on a Saturday evening.although the restaurant was very busy the staff were very efficient and polite. Nothing was too much trouble! The food was excellent, varied and plenty of it. A most enjoyable evening.

This was our first visit to China Water but definitely not our last. The restaurant was quiet but the conservatory was a spacious yet cosy eating space. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. If you have any preferences as to how spicy you like your dishes do not be afraid to ask when you order. The pad Thai was heavy on the chilli.

I read the reviews before we came to China water and would agree that it needs some serious updating from the pot holed car park to the tatty decor however what sets this place apart is the service. We took our 4 year daughter at 6pm for her first Chinese experience the staff couldn’t be more attentive especially Josh, they went out of their way to make sure she enjoyed it. The food was good, atmosphere was buzzing by 6.30 it was mostly full on a Saturday night. Overall good meal out.

This is a regular favourite of ours and I agree with an earlier reviewer that the outside does not do it justice. The food is great, the atmosphere is consistently warm and welcoming and the parking is more than adequate.

We went to this restaurant as a couple, a week before Christmas. There is an ample car park. The dining area is in a large conservatory, and the whole place needs an upgrade, particularly the ceiling blinds, Being the festive season the place was probably 80% full, but the tables were a little too close together. We stuck to one of the set menus, which can be viewed on line. We enjoyed the food and the portions were very reasonable. The service was slightly slow, and the bill took a while to arrive, but nothing to worry us. The whole experience took 90 minutes. We were told that they were down 1 waiter. My main complaint was that the reasonably priced red wine was too cold. I would have given it 3.5 if I could, but because we liked the meal I upgraded it to 4.0. We would go again, especially as it is only 2 miles away.

I visited here twice in October, the 1st time with my wife and the second time my 83 year old mother joined us. The 1st time was good, we hadn’t booked and had one of the set meals which was very tasty and good service. However, the 2nd time was outstanding. It was a Friday night, we hadn’t booked and the 3 of us had the peking feast which was superb. My Mum is a seasoned world wide traveller, as am I and we both felt that the meal was one of the best we have ever had, anywhere! Well done chaps, we will be returning!

The first time we visited this restaurant it was great. We thought at last a decent Peking type restaurant locally.

We have lived locally for over 2 years and had takeaways from China Water on several occasions. It was sometimes a little off but usually pretty good and once so nice that my husband phoned them back to say thank you for such a delicious meal. But sadly the last two have been really very poor indeed, with our dishes lacking in any real flavour. It isn't particularly cheap and for the second time we are disappointed to have spent £30 on dishes that were so bland and sadly won't get finished, not even cold for breakfast! I don't know what happened, perhaps the good chef left, but I'm afraid that's our last visit now. A shame because there aren't any other decent Chinese restaurants in Wendover. Back to Ken's of Amersham it is from now.

Todo lo que había era fresco, bien preparado y un sabor delicioso. Sin duda comer allí como un nuevo chino. Si el interior ligeramente hacia arriba, podría ser increíble como la única cosa con ellos de un resultado perfecto es su cansado decoración.

Nuestro restaurante chino ha cerrado normal el pensamiento sonwe sin probar. No reservamos ya que era una noche de jueves. . . Había muchas mesas. El servicio era malo y esperamos mucho tiempo para nuestra comida. El director fue caminando con mouthfulls insultos de comida y uno de los camareros mientras comida escupiendo por todas partes. Las mesas parecían un poco sucias y no tienen un ambiente muy agradable. La comida era promedio. . . . Pero caros teniendo en cuenta que era 2 adultos y 2 niños y más de 100 libras. . . No volvería.

We had been waiting to try this place for a while and were looking forward to a high standard of food given the price and the reviews, we had a take away and couldn't have been more disappointed, they didn't have the dish we ordered, replaced with an alternative put in completely the wrong box wrong lid so ended up with sauce all over the car, the mixed starter said seaweed of which there was about a tablespoon of, the rest was lukewarm and dry, can't imagine we would be tempted to try a return visit.
