Believe the hype...for once it's true! Ordered one of the custard buns, and honestly, it was lightly, fluffy, spongy, and delicious. The custard was just sweet enough without being sickly, and the bun itself wasn't overpowering. Everything was just perfect! Highly recommended, even at £3.80 per bun!!

I had a very unpleasant experience at Bun House when I ordered a custard bun to go. When I opened it later, I discovered it was actually a pork bun. As a Hindu, I cannot eat pork, and this mistake nearly caused me to unintentionally sin. I am extremely disappointed with their service and would not recommend this establishment

It’s not obvious from the street but there is a lovely eat-in area upstairs! Food arrived quickly and service was friendly, everything was delicious and pretty reasonably priced too

Located in Chinatown, London. Tried their signature custard bun made of salted egg yolk, coconut and carrot juice. The bun was fresh and soft. Custard inside can cause a mess as it's quite runny. Tasted good though. They don't accept cash. Had a queue when I last visited.

A great spot to pick up a late night snack! I popped in after the theatre during a weekend trip to London, as the reviews sounded promising, and I was not disappointed! I ordered 3 流沙包 (“lau sa bao”), a runny salted egg custard steamed bun, for takeaway. While a bit pricey (although I’m not used to London prices, so I could be wrong!), it’s easily the best I’ve ever eaten outside of Hong Kong, so I didn’t mind paying for the quality. The custard is VERY runny, so be careful when breaking the bun open, but it’s definitely worth it! I’ve since returned while on another trip, and tried the mushroom bun, which was delicious and rich. My friend tried a meat version and confirmed it was also very good. Would highly recommend stopping by at any time of day if visiting the area!

We were only in London for a short time. There’s loads of Chinese food to choose from nearby, but someone recommended Tao Tao Ju. I’d never had dim sum before but was thoroughly impressed. My wife was delighted to find they cheung fun, something we can’t find even find in our home state. I’m saddened that I don’t have more time in London or I would be back tomorrow. Highly recommend.

I used to love to go to this restaurant whenever I stayed at the hotel. So it was my normal place to go for a quick dinner as soon as I arrived. The atmosphere has changed the food did not have great taste The quality was simply not there.
