This is my favourite Chinese style restaurant in the world. The service is great they do carry out and the food is so tasty. If you don’t know what to pick try the beef and broccoli. Delicious.

Evitar a toda costa.

I wasn't too keen to eat here given recent reviews on TripAdvisor, but all other nearby establishments were busy with Christmas drinkers. I wish I had taken heed of the negative comments and given the place a wide berth. The meal was nothing special, the service was okay, but what really took the biscuit was the bill. Boiled rice at £4.60 was on the high side and probably the norm for London, but the pint of lime cordial and soda I had was charged at £5.60!! I wish I'd gone for an alcoholic drink, at least I wouldn't have felt so badly ripped off. When I queried it, the waiter's response was "your pint took two bottles of soda water". If they're paying £2 plus for a bottle of soda, I want to be their wholesaler! My recommendation would be to walk past this place and find an alternative.

Place was packed with Friday night diners - not that many tables but obviously a popular place. Service was very friendly and my food was ready fast. Even though it was a cold night and a quick walk back to my hotel, my food was hot and freshly prepared. Especially enjoyed their egg fried rice. Sinh Le is like a Chinese restaurant from my youth. Straightforward Cantonese food, well-prepared, tasty, and satisfying in good-sized portions. They do all the standards very well, including wonton soup, roast pork with vegetables, and various chicken and shrimp, dishes. The unpretentious decor and efficient service are both just right. And I even got food to go once for the complete home experience! I got a takeaway from here just half hour ago and the staff were friendly and the service quick. When I got back to work, the vegetable spring rolls were nice, the egg fried rice lovely. I also ordered a sichuan chicken. I'm not going to go into too much about how sichuan chicken should be cooked as there are only a few restaurants in London who cook this dish with actual Sichuan peppers, but to put too much salt in the dish is something I would not expect. I would expect the chef to taste the dishes he/she is cooking or at least control the input. For almost £9, it was a shame I had to bin it and had to do with the fried rice on it's own, which was half the price of the chicken.

This is a small, family run restuarant on the edge of the City of London. Given the location, you can't expect it to be cheap, and it isn't....but it's not outrageously expensive either. The food was good, and the service was pleasant and prompt. The meal was not enhanced by an incredibly loud, vulgar and drunken group mainly made up of young women, but you can't blame the restuarant for that...loud and uncouth seems to be a common feature of eating out in London (I speak as a long displaced Londoner, London Pride at home in the North West, embarrassed to share the accent when confronted by a group like this in my home town). This restaurant is almost next door to my office and we have been going there for years. I consider the quality of the food a cut above the standard Chinese restaurant offerings, especially their excellent whole steamed sea bass, which is superb. The staff do initially come over as quite abrupt however once you get to know the old dear running the place they do warm up to you. We have had large tables of 20 or so diners catered for upstairs, which works well. It is relatively expensive, however it does cater to the expense account so this is to be expected and is the norm for restaurants in this area.

I have often visited both this and the sister restaurant near Whitechapel. They are both very good restaurants with extensive menus, attentive staff and good quality food. They are relatively pricey (particularly the Aldgate branch which caters for business diners) but also a cut above the typical standard. I dined at Sinh Le on a recent business trip to London. Not fancying the sterile fayre on offer at the local Premier Inn I strolled up and walked in without booking. The interior is quite small with “no frills” and not particularly intimate but the two staff members were efficient and friendly. I ordered chicken & sweetcorn soup to start and, despite being almost too hot to eat, it was otherwise fine. For main I had a sizzling chicken dish with egg fried rice and soft noodles. The portions were just right in size and well presented while the quality of food was good enough for me. With a large bottle of mineral water, my bill came to just under £30, which I didn’t think was too bad for Central London. Overall, I thought the menu here could be a little more varied with more detail as to what each dish contains, but I would be happy to eat here again.

Chinese isn't often my first choice, but this place is very, very good. Not the cheapest chinese but well worth a visit.

Half a crispy duck shared between 4 as a starter was good. They don't sell wine by the glass so as I didn't want a bottle I had to have a bottle of beer.

Food quality was disappointing: rice arrived too hot to eat and got hotter - a microwave hard at work I suspect. Main course also too hot (temperature). Staff showed no interest when I mentioned this too them. Added 10% service charge automatically - i removed and object to this practise when I am on my own or in a small party.

I used to love to go to this restaurant whenever I stayed at the hotel. So it was my normal place to go for a quick dinner as soon as I arrived. The atmosphere has changed the food did not have great taste The quality was simply not there.

We were only in London for a short time. There’s loads of Chinese food to choose from nearby, but someone recommended Tao Tao Ju. I’d never had dim sum before but was thoroughly impressed. My wife was delighted to find they cheung fun, something we can’t find even find in our home state. I’m saddened that I don’t have more time in London or I would be back tomorrow. Highly recommend.
