Completely adequate Chinese restaurant serving an overly large menu. Everything nice enough, nothing outstanding. Noodles had some wok hei but not memorable.

I came here for my first ever hotpot and I'm pleased to say it was a good first experience. The portion sizes were very good we almost couldn't finish all our food. The only thing I had an issue with was the muscles. They were large but a bit gritty and not that fresh. All the other food was good

I visited for the hotpot buffet and the restaurant had a huge variety of ingredients. The portions were quite big but you can always order more up until the time limit. I absolutely loved the fresh noodles and I'd say they are a must order! Service was good too

We had dinner here after a long day and ordered various Asian dishes, the food was mostly unimaginative and not particularly good. I wouldn't recommend my friends to come here

I am a regular customer of Flavor Canteen. I have often eaten their hot pot since it was still called "Old Beijing". I have recommended many friends to eat hot pot, but the latest one made me very disappointed. The self-service hot pot is more than 32 pounds per person, which is on the menu. There are many dishes that require additional charges. The most outrageous thing is that sauces are charged per person! one! dish! 2 pounds! Not everyone! There are so many kinds of hot pot sauces... One small dish of soy sauce is not enough for four people. I asked for a second dish and was told that it would cost 2 pounds! I watched two white girls next door eating hot pot without sauce. I felt sorry that they did not appreciate the essence of hot pot. The four of us ordered 2 plates of beef rolls at the beginning. After we finished eating, we wanted to order two more plates, but we were asked Is it the first time or the second time? We asked for the second time, and then a little girl came over and said that we could only give one plate. I was so shocked that I even fished out a hair! If the flavor restaurant is not improved, I will never go there again!

I believe the only Halal restaurant we found. They told us the chicken and lamb are halal and they have a halal menu, but they sell pig meat. The food was nice but over priced for the portion size (could be due to location). What I found the care in the cooking was lacking as one of the dish which they did not charge for,(Hot and spicy stir fried lamb with spring onion) with was over powered with MSG leaving an unpleasant taste in the mouth. As this was the last dish they brought out, it ruined all the taste of the previous dishes. This then put doubt if they take care when cooking and prevents cross contamination with halal and non halal dishes. Although the FOH staff very friendly and the atmosphere amazing, the BOH service let this place down. The crispy beef was amazing along with the salt and pepper squid but due to one mistake the entire experience crumbled. If this did not happen this a 3 star due to portion size.

The food was terrible. The meat has a bad taste. The smell make us sick. There was a dead rat in front of the restaurant. we don't know why we still wanted to eat there

1. Pre-made dishes, I watched beef fried rice and egg fried rice being brought out of the microwave. 2. The food was not fresh. My friend and I spent an average of 50 pounds per person. We ate black rotten crayfish. 3. The waiter was very dirty. When serving the rice, I saw a waiter wearing glasses pouring the rice into the big rice cooker. As a result, she grabbed it directly with her hands. 4. Use a dirty rag to wipe the dishes. Each bowl is wiped with a dirty rag to dry the water stains, and it is done openly. It's disgusting.

Very Authentic Charcoal Copper Hot Pot! The broth is simple, but when combined with the fresh ingredients and the special sesame sauce, the flavors are absolutely amazing. Everything comes together perfectly. Highly recommend!

The finest, unique copper pot in London!!Last winter, my friends took me to eat it and said it was the only place in London that had it! First time in my life to eat a copper pot. I brought my friends here again this year, and once again I wondered why it tasted so good.

Absolutely fantastic spot for a budget-friendly meal in London. The flavors are authentic, and the portion sizes are generous. I tried the braised pork belly, and it was melt-in-your-mouth tender with a rich, savory sauce. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is quick and friendly. Highly recommend trying the fried pork in vinegar sauce for something crispy and sweet, and the braised ribs with noodles for a comforting dish. The brown sugar rice cakes and rice wine dumplings are perfect as well. Great value and even better food!

They charged me £10 service charge and my friend £5. My food was £11, so I paid 90-100% extra for service charge?! They did not tell me, they just made me pay. I don’t know what service I am paying for when they were horrible and rude and the food was bland, chewy and overpriced. We are not picky eaters but my friend left all her beef from her noodles as it made her feel sick. Don’t go, save your money and go elsewhere. They clearly want non-Chinese customers as well, by being in this touristy area and bringing in diverse religious dietary requirements etc but they don’t even provide cutlery, foreigners aren’t used to chopsticks. Depressing atmosphere too.

We were roaming around china town and as it was lunch time, we wanted to try Chinese food but halal at the time same. Google said that real Beijing serves halal food. It was 5 of us and we tried prawns and beef egg fried rice. The food was bit pricy and taste was ok. Service was quick and friendly though. If you are in china town and looking for halal Chinese then this is the place.

I recently visited this hotpot buffet and was really impressed! They offer a wide variety of sides for the hotpot, and each portion is massive. The service was incredibly fast, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you're looking for a hearty and satisfying meal! I’ll definitely most likely see myself coming back every time I’m craving for some hotpot!

Unlimited Halal Hot Pot? Yes and you can find @realbeijing_london in Chinatown. At £30 per person, it truly is unlimited but be sure not to waste anything as they do charge for that, which I think is great policy. I didn't find the spicy version as spicy as you could add more chilli's etc but their peanut sauce was a delight to have it with. Cold weather is upon us so hot pot like this goes down well.

I’m such a fan of Fengwei Shitang, that I come here every month. It’s right in London’s Chinatown, and super easy to get to. My go-to dishes are the lamb skewers and fuqi feipian—the meat is always fresh and tastes amazing. The osmanthus rice wine balls are also really good—sweet and fragrant. I’ll definitely keep coming back. If you’re in London and love authentic Chinese food, you’ve got to try this place!

Quality of food is quite low Limited Variety, if you don eat lamb , you can only have beef. Only fish ball available, no beef ball, no crabmeat ball, no dumpling ,etc …even luncheon meat is a tiny thin one. what a save! The spicy sauce are no taste.. strange . We know it’s an all you can eat with 32.8 pp Only. I prefer to pay a bit more to have better quality of food. Sorry We will not come again

My friends and I love getting together at Feng Wei Shi Tang,a Chinese restaurant that’s been in Chinatown for over ten years. The food is seriously delicious, and you can get everything from hotpot and barbecue to Beijing-style dishes. My favorite is the sour fish soup—the fish is super tender, and the flavor is just the right mix of sour and spicy. The service is great too! If you’re into Beijing cuisine and you’re in London, you’ve got to check this place out.

Recommended grilled lamb chops and red willow kebabs! The fried noodles are also super delicious! Authentic northern taste!

🍢🔥 Just tried the skewers and Kong Pao prawn, and WOW! The skewers were perfectly grilled with so much flavor, and the Kong Pao prawn had the perfect balance of spice and sweetness. Every bite was bursting with deliciousness! Highly recommend if you're looking for something tasty and satisfying! 😋👌

It tastes bad, it doesn’t taste good, it makes me feel upset, what kind of sesame sauce is there, but I still have the nerve to write about sesame sauce when promoting it, haha.

Been dining with them for over 10 years now, always nice food and loads of selections. Recently had the Chinese bbq and it’s really good, highly recommend! They also have really nice wintermelon and ribs soup, also a must try!

Although the self-service hot pot menu is listed as just over thirty pounds per person, it does not include the charged side dishes and drinks (you can skip the drinks if you don’t want to go crazy). The sesame sauce side dishes are extremely salty and have almost no sesame sauce flavor, only the fermented bean curd flavor. I can only choose to neutralize it. To buy drinks) it costs 40+ per person (this is still a discounted price of 10% off if you pay in cash) Also, the beef is minced after being cooked. It doesn’t taste as good as the frozen beef rolls from Xiangyuan in the Chinese Super League. Drinks are about 3-4 pounds a bottle (no refills. If you want to drink more, you can only order another bottle because the sesame sauce is very salty, so we ordered two rounds of drinks. We reasonably doubt whether the store deliberately made the sesame sauce salty to make more money. Drink money?) We have eaten hot pot in several cities in the UK and Europe, but this one is the worst we have ever tasted! ! ! ! ! ! ! 👎It’s so bad that it makes people silent and can’t eat it at all. If your hot pot costs 20 pounds, I won’t say anything. But your hot pot itself is 30+ per person and the toppings are 2 pounds a bowl. I ask you, why do you have the nerve to pay this price? Made it so unpalatable? ? ? After being reminded, I remembered that this self-service hot pot also charges a 12% service fee. So why is it called a self-service hot pot?

Just a normal boy saw it on tik tok and went with my mate. Didn’t know what to expect staff helped me with everything and it was so amazing, such an amazing experience with such amazing foods, honestly I’m addicted and want to go back everyday, they don’t hold back and always offer to bring u more food couldn’t be happier. Customer service is really bad. The lady who served us was very rude. Food taste horrible. We had only the soup and the rice, the crispy pork was really bad. Couldn't eat it at all. Will never come back to this place, waste of money.

One of the best hot pot places in the UK, halal options available, friendly staff, a nice vibe and quite spacious. First time trying hot pot and it did not disappoint, the clear and spicy half half broth was good and the buffet makes sure you leave full. The premium beef was especially good. Price was reasonable for what it is, it's the sort of thing I would do on special occasions so happy to spend a bit more. Also, a small detail that I think many places overlook was how cold the soft drinks were. The can came ice cold as if it was kept in a freezer, perfect in combination with hot pot, I had to order another.

I came here with a group of friends. The server we had did not really understand what I was trying to ask about the food before ordering which made it difficult to communicate.The menus outside is different for the halal menu to what was inside so I couldn’t even get the meal I wanted to have when sat down looking at the actual menus (also with altered prices to outside the restarting). I just had to resort to going for the veg meal offered since the waitress couldn’t really get what I was asking. I ordered the stir fried green beans for 15 pounds. The order came and was just a plate of green beans… FOR FIFTEEN POUNDS. I was just shocked and had to resort to sharing some of my friends’ food. I also tried to ask the waitress about the noodles and if they could alter the ingredients and she didn’t know what I was saying. They should not be leaving a false impression of a stir fry for fifteen pounds and rob me of a meal. Bearing in mind a plate of green beans was the most expensive thing we got compared to full bowls of noodles. Absolutely ridiculous will not come here again and I don’t recommend.

The best BBQ I’ve ever had in London! ! Especially their mutton kebabs, which are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with no fishy smell at all, which is amazing. Everyone, hurry up and rush to their self-service barbecue event~

I visited this Chinatown gem after seeing Zhang Linghe's recommendation, and it did not disappoint! The restaurant offers an expanded menu with hot pot, Beijing-style copper pot, grilled fish, barbecue, and various stir-fried dishes. We ordered a variety of dishes, spending under £90 for a feast. The highlights were the Mouthwatering Chicken, Mao Xue Wang, Kung Pao Chicken, and Lamb Skewers. Each dish was flavorful and delicious, making it a highly satisfying dining experience. Zhang Linghe's recommendation was spot on!

I love the lamb and chicken wings BBQ. The beef noodle was delicious. And the soup with chicken and pork tripe is a must try.

Tried the grilled spicy fish and meat noodles. The fish was very dried and not tasty ad I ate in China and other Chinese restaurants. The meat noodles were fine. Overall the food was not fresh and tasty and a bit expensive.

Recommended by a friend, but a few of the dishes were disappointing... The tomato beef brisket is all tomato sauce, and the tomatoes are not stewed...

Quite rubbish service attitude. The restaurant I arrived at first, I had already asked the waiter to order. When the waiter saw the foreigners, he immediately walked over and told them the menu. Decent halal hotpot restaurant but choices were a bit small. The food was delicious however and I felt like the employees did not ignore our needs. We were serviced well and got everything we needed. One thing is that the temperature adjuster did not really work sometimes and it gets a bit hot in there. Sometimes hotpot restaurants have like fans to pull the heat vapour but they didn’t so it got humid. Also this has nothing to do with the restaurant but this one table kept staring at us heavyyyy it was weird but I loved this place. Try it out cause it’s halal and anyone who accommodates me deserves the world

The pot dumplings are so sweet...the eggplants from Disanxian are so hard...the Arctic Ocean is like water.

Friendly service team, tasty and varied food options, and a good atmosphere. They have a great selection of freshly-barbecued skewers which are great for sharing. Also the ‘guo bao rou’ is a must-order - fried pork with a sweet, sticky sauce. Great spot in the heart of Chinatown.

The Guobao Pork is my favorite old-fashioned Guobao Pork with Scallions and Ginger! 🌶️Spicy and sour kidney slices are a must-try if you love spicy and sour food! The sauce is really flavorful, and the kidneys are fried very tender. It goes well with rice🍚I ordered some vegetables🥬Vermicelli and cabbage are also good with rice.

Authentic Traditional Chinese Hotpot

I’ve been looking for a halal hotpot for a very long time I managed to find this one and it was very nice a little bit pricy but you can eat as much as u want obviously I won’t recommend going if you don’t eat much as you won’t get your money worth of food , as for the broth I would highly recommend the mushroom one

Too expensive and food was ok but not that great to be honest

I recently went to the Real Beijing. I did not book inadvance and it was pretty quiet. I ordered the halal hot pot and I loved the food very much! The service was great. I didn't enjoy or feel comfortable when sat down. No leg space under the tables which resulted in a knee pain. Apart from the sitting issue everything else was great. Not suitable for anyone who struggles to climb stairs or needs leg room to sit comfortably and eat.

DO NOT COME HERE!! I had hotpot yesterday with a friend and we were absolutely shocked. Besides paying 32.80 per head for it the food was absolutely disgusting. The meats tasted like plastic and were very chewy indicating that they weren’t fresh even the vegetables were stale and the fish had a weird taste to it. The broths had no taste at all!! We also had to order 2 sauces which were an extra £2 each to try to give it some taste but oh my not even the sauces were nice. The cutlery was also dirty, full of dust. The toilets were also miserable! Pee all over the toilet like?? I promise you, you are much better off eating at New China 2 minutes from them. Cheaper and much much better.

The pot roast is sweet and sour and crispy, especially tasty, every bite makes you love it hard, the texture is especially delicious 😋

The place it is not the nicest. But the food it was pretty good. I went for the charcoal hot pot. I thought it was amazing the serving pan with the charcoal burning in the middle. The hot pot (chicken) had an amazing taste. Got veggies, noodles and meat to add. Definitely an amazing meal

There are very few options for a halal menu for hot pot in London, @realbeijing_london being one of them. The halal set menu consisted of a myriad of options from sea food to poultry to red meat and vegetables/mushrooms to choose from. The broth we chose were half and half i.e., half of spicy flavour and the other half mild. I now feel I could've done with only spicy one as the other was too bland for my taste. Having a hot pot after years brought back some college memories of chilly winter days. Overall I'd rate the food as 3.5/5 Service was a big disappointment at 2/5 Ambience 3/5 Set menu price 30 pp ( tad too much)

This is a Chinese restaurant full of love, the first experience of Chinese restaurant came here and it was very delicious! I love the spicy Mao Blood Wanton here, it made me fall in love with Chinese food, also the BBQ here is very special, I recommend the Grilled Beef Skewers, my husband ate 10 skewers in one sitting, it was a perfect dining experience!

The same restaurant as Zhang Linghe! The dishes are really beyond my expectation. I highly recommend the twice-cooked pork and stir-fried vermicelli with cabbage. I went back to China in a second and it is so delicious! The barbecue is also super delicious. Currently, it ranks first in my mind as a Chinese restaurant for bringing foreign friends. The first choice restaurant to experience Chinese food, the taste is really authentic!!!
