We have been coming to Ruby for several years now. We always have a great time - good portions, great flavour and if you like something changed to the dish, they’re more than happy to accommodate. Same goes for take aways - can’t say we’ve had a bad meal.

Excellent service and food ! Would recommend for any occasion. We came here for a family get together and 70th Birthday. The staff were very attentive and good humoured. Relaxed atmosphere. Good time had by all.

I visited Ruby this weekend after a break of several years. My partner and I used to love the buffet and were gutted when they stopped it around covid . I didn't realise that for a long time you could have the buffet on sun lunchtime only! It was exactly as I remember- all the same flavours, the perfectly grilled meats, the smiley service. Ruby is absolutely back where it used to be. Everything is cooked freshly for you and it's delicious. We had a lovely meal and cannot wait to return.

Met up with some family members here for Sunday lunch. Excellent food, service & hospitality. Would certainly recommend and will visit again. Food was hot, tasty & fresh. Service was very quick and we were not rushed in any way.

We will go back to Ruby and again enjoy their excellent beef dishes. The staff were pleasant and the lady in charge was particularly keen to ensure that we got served even though we arrived close to closing. We have our suspicions that the hot and sour soup was intended for an 'British' clientele as it really wasn't much like the real thing.

Judging by comments on here it seems we were the unlucky ones. Our first time ordering. And our last. The curry..erm..where was the curry? The juice was none existent,just wet meat and onions. The fried rice was really dry and disg..it was tasteless,the chips were horrendous..I’ve had better frozen chips from lidl..I kid you not. The pineapple fritter I didn’t taste got launched into the bin with everything else. You try to give local businesses your help,maybe they could have the decency to at least send you a half decent meal out or is that asking too much?! Zero stars not one. NEVER AGAIN!!

Delicious Cantonese food and plenty of it. Staff very friendly and efficient. A lovely restaurant slightly off the main circuit.

We called tonight to order a collection take away. It can be a little difficult due to my partner being gluten free. The gentleman on the phone was highly knowledgeable about gluten allergies and guided us through what we could have. The order was cooked to perfection and the best tasting Chinese food we have had since being gluten free. The gentleman also took the time to mark a whole menu up for us with highlighter and notes to allow us to choose in the future. Needless to say, we now have a new local Chinese and would recommend everyone visit and experience the food and amazing customer service. 11/10. Thank you so much.

This is the best Chinese in Leamington by far. The food is reasonably priced, very tasty and always fresh. Arrives hot when delivered. Has a huge menu with many different dishes.

Ate here as a group of eight on a Saturday night. We ate off a set menu and they were happy to adjust one of the dishes. We were a large group who had not seen each other for a while and the service was attentive but unobtrusive. The food was excellent and plentiful. Reasonably priced with a decent wine choice too.

The ruby has always been an all you can eat. Checking online days before, we went this evening. It stated it was still as such. Went tonight sat down, drinks already ordered and was told they no longer do all you can eat. Even though website stated it did. Bloody disgrace. Prices so expensive. Was told that I was wrong about the website… that they had changed things during covid. Hello?? But no one was around in covid…

Whilst staying at the Premier Inn near by with two tired children after a long journey, we ordered a takeaway to the hotel. After ordering online the restaurant called to check the details for delivery and where extremely helpful. The food arrived and was piping hot and delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed by us all and would definitely recommend if you are from out of the area and would like a delicious meal before or after enjoying the sights that Warwick has to offer.

I like The Ruby, I've been many times over the years. It's a family run place, the atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious, the service is excellent. For example I booked a table for 5 adults, a 3 year old anda baby. However, the baby hadn't been 100%well, so my daughter and son-in-law might not have been able to make it. The man I spoke to was really helpful, said that he'd hold the table anyway, and I could reduce the number on Sunday morning if necessary. The food here is abundant. There's an all-you-can eat deal, we paid about £15 a head including drinks. Loads of food, all of it tasty and there's also some gf and vegetarian dishes. I don't know much about Chinese food, this restaurant isn't fine dining and doesn't pretend to be. But we were well looked after, had loads of tasty food and had a great family lunch.

Just come back from a birthday meal here and I wanted to say what a really lovely host we had tonight. I would imagine this gentleman was the owner……he was so warm and friendly and thoroughly made our night!!! Really enjoyable night - thank you!!

We have been to The Ruby pre Covid as it’s a central location for all the family to come together, the food was just as good as the previous visit and the staff were attentive and helpful, ensuring that we had everything which we needed. We were too busy eating to take pictures and even came home with a take away box due to the generous portion sizes. We all have two courses and drinks the price point is very reasonable and we will most definitely be returning. Many thanks to all the staff

Came here on a whim and certainly didn’t regret it! This is probably one of the Chinese I’ve ever had (not just in Leamington!). It’s also brilliant for vegetarians with lots of fake chicken options which I loved. Staff are also lovely. 10/10 would recommend!

This place is amazing the food is out of this world, well priced and the portions are massive. the staff made us very welcome and were great all night. i can not wait to find an excuse to go back to Leamington Spa just to go here again

for a sunday evening family dinner, its the worst i have ever experienced. all the dishes were horrible bad ingredients and badly cooked. the sauces were very sweet and diluted. the duck pancakes the duck was very dry, the mongolian lamb was some kind of meat very tough chewy and inedible. the guys who served us were friendly and kept smiling when we complained, but did nothing else.

I have been here four times with friends, each time for their all-you-can-eat a-la-carte dinner option. This consists of virtually every dish you could find on a Chinese takeaway menu, where you are allowed to order as much as you like so long as you don’t waste food.

So having had a few drinks at Leif & The Royal Pug, we couldn’t be bothered to walk to our favourite Indian restaurant, The guys at The Ruby fitted us in at the last minute, it looked like they had been really busy. But the food came out very quickly and was very well cooked & presented.

Great little all you can eat chinese which is ordered from the menu. Good choice of starters, (note that duck is not included), mains were plenty full too. We had ribs, prawn toast, prawns for starters and sizzling beef, king prawns and noodles for main. All was very nice. I would return again if in the area.

Lovely food - it was a buffet menu but cooked for your table rather than left sitting out, so seemed fresh and tasty. The service was superb - all the staff were smiling and polite, and the food came out quickly.

So pleased that we booked an early evening table on a Friday night - it soon filled up, but we were able to get our food ordered and served very easily and quickly. Loved that it started quietly, and then we also caught all the happy buzz as the tables filled up. All our food was beautifully cooked, and we were really impressed with the friendly service too. We went here for our works “belated Christmas meal” on Wednesday. We opted for the all you can eat menu. The food was amazing and cooked to order. The service was quick and efficient. The portion sizes were based on how many people were in your party. There was so much choice and everything we had was cooked to perfection and looked amazing. Didn’t know this place existed and will definitely be coming back. Best Chinese food I have had in a long time!

14 of us went to the ruby for our daughter s 18 th birthday surprise, from arrival, they helped us with the cake and balloons, nothing was to much trouble, the food was incredible and not rushed, our host was funny and made our daughter feel special, they gave her a free return voucher which she was thrilled with, can’t thank them enough, with most definitely be returning

Sorry but we've just had the worst service and meal here. Ordered 4 starters, brought them out 1 at a time, with at least a 10 minute gap between each!! We complained and asked if they could bring the mains all together, to which we were told yes of course......1 main arrived, said where are the others to which they replied..... we're trying our best, you can't expect it all at once!

Another excellent meal at the Ruby before a visit to the cinema. Great welcome, smiling staff, very efficient, food gorgeous. I can't fault this lovely restaurant.

We had our Christmas meal last night 12 of us service was good food very disappointing, pork racks were tough could not finish mine, also the chicken in the sweet and sour was also tough, thank goodness for the sauce that managed to mask the taste, at £16 for eat as much as you can ,don't waste your money! there are plenty of other restaurants close by...never again..

Popped into the restaurant with my family (wife and two young daughters) after visiting the pantomime. Managed to get a table for four even though the restaurant was really busy. I've been a few times and this time I was once again not disappointed. I was more upset that I could not eat more (probably because I'd finished a tub at the panto just a few hours earlier!!). Service was acceptable and it is a busy restaurant. We ordered the drinks and the all you can eat. Don't select all you can eat if you're full!!! Food and drinks came out quickly, and tasted good, although some of the starters were slightly oily.

There is inexpensive and cheap and everything about the quality of food is cheap. If anyone invites you for a meal here it can only be because they don't like you. Simply the worst oriental food we have ever been served anywhere.

Excellent buffet style restaurant. However, you choose from the menu and it’s cooked fresh every time. Too easy to fill up on the starters so save room for the main. Perfect chance to try anything you’ve ever fancied on the menu.

Top food, top host, had a brilliant night here would definitely go back, chicken and sweet corn soup is to die for. Prices are very reasonable.

I, and my family and friends , have been using the Ruby for many years and have always been pleased with the service and food. However our visit last night was really disappointing. The service was extremely slow - we were brought dishes we did not order and when we sent them back the waiter argued with us. We had to reorder dishes several times. The excuse was that they were busy - they are always busy on a Saturday night and we have never experienced this before. Hopefully it was just a blip.

What a great find this was. We spent a few days in Leamington with some friends and Ruby's was recommended to us by the hotel we were staying at.

I visited this restaurant with my partner on a Monday evening in April. Not too busy, not too quiet. A nice attentive restaurant with a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. We had a large glass of wine and a pint to drink, for food we opted for the £15.95 per head ‘all you can eat’; - if you are hungry, this place is perfect for you! You are able to order 3-4 courses at a time and as many as you like for this price, with only rice and noodles costing you extra. For our two drinks, 4 starters, 3 mains and side of rice we paid just under £40. Great value for money. If I could be picky and choose one improvement, I would say staff could make you feel slightly rushed as you are eating, then again, we were chatting away! No pictures for this experience. Apologies and happy dining :)

A group of seven of us came here for dinner last night. On entering the restaurant we did find the lighting a bit bright but that became insignificant once we experienced the wonderful service and fantastic food! We opted for the all-you-can-eat menu, it was absolutely superb. The staff were really lovely, very friendly, nothing was too much trouble even though they were under pressure from a completely packed restaurant. The wine was perfectly chilled and served by a waiter with a fabulous sense of humour! The bill for all the food that we had plus the several bottles of wine, when split between seven of us came to just £30 a head inclusive of a tip, which we all agreed was fantastic value. Next time we are in Leamington Spa we will definitely be back, thank you Ruby Cantonese for a wonderful evening!!!

I'm a take it or leave it fan of Chinese restaurants. HOWEVER, If I get a chance, this is the place I insist on going to if I'm in the Midlands. This is the 3rd time I've visited and it just has the most amazing dishes in terms of taste and value.. I can't rave about it enough and I live 131 miles away!! Even if they doubled the price I'd still visit. You could be picky about the decor but not at this price or taste...

Great Chinese food, happy staff, good service and fabulous friends make for a wonderful evening. The ‘eat as much as you like’ menu for £15.95 is great value and would recommend due to the variety and quality of the food. That said, Friday is a very busy evening. If you you want a buzzing restaurant then this is the place to be at the start of the weekend. There again, if it’s a quiet, romantic evening you are looking for, try midweek. At busy times booking is essential.

Ordered a takeaway (for collection) for my wife and I. Although I was advised 25 minutes, when I got there after half an hour the food was being prepared still. However the food was good when we got home and enjoyable. Maybe slightly oily but was edible.

I find some previous reviews rather misleading. A foreign tone/accent is to be expected in a Cantonese restaurant? Portions are certainly adequate, and if you require more once finishing the dish your are given, another dish will be freshly cooked for you at no extra charge if eating from the All You Can Eat menu. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the restaurant behind the entrance area, busy for a Tuesday evening. The food was freshly prepared and served in a way that prevented you from having a large amount all at once and over eating. We did not require more food above our order but it would have been available. Discretely attentive, the staff and, I assume, the owner looked after us well.

This was my first time at the restaurant . We got a table which was small ! The staff was very nice at the restaurant and all polite . The food was good but portions could have been bigger.

All you can eat is exactly what this place is all about. We ordered 4 starters between us and got 2 more of the same dishes. 4 dishes for the main course including plenty of rice, something which doesn't usually happen elsewhere. I couldn't believe how fast the service was and the manager was very attentive knowing exactly what was going on throughout the restaurant. We eill return.

This was the second time I have been to Ruby's however it's been a few years, me and my friend had the all you could eat menu and it was worth every penny ! It's not like a buffet where the food can be up there for hours you order from the menu what it is you want and they bring it out. There was 2 of us so we could order up to 4 different starters a time and 3 mains. There is plenty of variety and allows you to try new things also. The food was cooked lovely and tasted great. There were a couple of larger parties in there which were very vocal which was a shame as me and my friend did struggle to have a conversation at some points due to the amount of noise.

We was in Leamington over the weekend to watch the Bowls National Championships at Victoria Park. My daughter along with myself and another bowler was looking for a Chinese style buffet restaurant and found this place. All you can eat for £14.95. We were greated by a really friendly guy who we believe was the owner. Not only was his hospitality first class the food was excellent. We had 3 starters, prawn crackers along with 1/2 a crispy duck which was an extra £9 but well worth it. More than enough food. 4 different main dishes and rice. Excellent and would definitely go back.

Whilst the food was tasty it was a little on the expensive side. They missed one item off the order - not a big deal as it's a one price for all thing. Also the place was dusty and dated looking. However, the thing that soured the evening was the miserable and rude waitress. We were greeted by unsmiling faces and a tone voice that made us feel like an inconvenience. Everything was done in a hurry (and it wasn't particularly busy) and at one point she tried to swipe my husbands hand (holding his glass) off the table so she could take a plate. It just spoiled things a bit. Probably will choose somewhere a bit posher next time.

Average food... what you might expect from an all you can eat buffet cantonese restaurant. nothing wrong with it and a cheap dinner for a night out with friends.

So party of 3 had all you can eat for £15.95 a head the food portions where very small in fact the spring rolls we ordered they brought 2 out and cut them in half ? Anyway food very poor place needs a good clean and a refurbishment old dated carpets if you are looking for good all you can eat food go over to warwick chopsticks that place puts this place to shame in fact it's the 1st time I have left a all you can eat place still hungry only hungry as I didn't enjoy the food so why order more

Service was efficient with a great selection of choices on the menu. There really is something to suit everyone. Food was very fresh and was cooked quickly so you didn't have to wait long! Will be visiting again soon ☺️

This is a quality eat as much as you like cantonese restaurant. However unlike most others, all food is cooked for you after ordering. The wide choice of starters are amazing and the yuk sung is fantastic. You can order as much or as little as your require and if you like it you can revert back to starters after the mains! If you go for the set price menu you will not be disappointed and the variety of choice is immense. This really is fantastic value for money although it can get busy at the weekends.

Took all the family for a meal to celebrate our new house, was very impressed with the food, the prices and the very efficient, pleasant staff, definitely would recommend to all.

The best Crab & Corn soup eaten in a Cantonese restaurant. Plenty of food and also a variety of plates. The Duck with plum sauce is always in my menu when visiting Ruby.

We have had 2 party's here for work reasons and the staff have been fab and the food very generous and tasty! There is a dangerous step on the way to the toilets (it's camouflaged by the carpet design) noticed a few people catch there foot on it during the evening. Nice wines and Chinese beer available. Will be coming here again for definite.

Its great if you are hungry...eat as much as you can...the dishes keep coming out freshly cooked from the kitchen. Friendly service.However if quality and taste is more important than quantity....its dissapointing.The schezuan chicken had a very vinegary taste. The blackbean dish was so diluted you could hardly tsste the blackbean. Main courses were bland.We stuck to the starters they were much better.
