went in and ordered chips and chicken balls, didn’t want sweet and sour sauce and the young guy offered to swap for a different sauce, I had the bbq, bloody lovely 😋 all extremely hot and very tasty. BBQ sauce was best Iv ever tasted from a Chinese takeaway staff very friendly and helpful. only take cash instore which is great to see as so many places are card only! Keep cash going. Definitely Recommend 🥡

We had a great take away from China City. The Singapore noodles were delicious and the honey ribs, to die for! Everything was delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful as well.

Have used this takeaway many times and have found it consistently pretty good. Is it the best….no, I find that Paw Paw a few doors down has food that looks and tastes fresher and cleaner. However, China City has a few dishes that aren’t on the Paw Paw menu and I’ve always found the food as good as the majority of other Chinese takeaways. They have resolved an issue with their website so ordering is easy enough, free prawn crackers generally if you spend over about £10/£15. Haven’t noticed a recent decline, same as it has been. I can collect which is very fast, delivery is fairly slow.

People are lovely when you come in and the food is amazing plus the potion sizes are incredible especially on the house special fried rice I would choose China City and day

Aesthetically, the chinese does not look particularly nice from the outside, and this is the same with the food quality. Really bland and boring, tastes like ready meals from a supermarket. Warwick has some good takeaways and this certainly is not one of them. Gutted!

I would go elsewhere, of all the years i have used china city tonight is my last, full of grease, more onions then meat, duck was full of fat the worst chinese ive ever had! Rang to complain and all i had was we have been busy so cause there busy they have the right to serve food my dog wouldnt even eat! clearly no loyalty to there customer that has used them for years!

I have been using china city for years, what a disappontment tonights food has been full of grease you could squeeze the chicken balls out i understand a little but come on was disgusting, the duck was all fatty, soggy chips, curry more onions than meat, £44.90 what a waste to all go in the food bin the dog didnt even want it! only good thing out of all of it was the fortune cookies. Rang up to complain and all we had was we have been busy absolutely shocking. Will be going elsewhere in future. Id advise everyone else to do the same unless you like grease and onions your ok.

Agree with the last few reviews, this used to be a really good chinese but for some reason it's gone downhill. Not sure if they've changed the recipe or what but the food doesn't taste very nice at all anymore.

I have ordered from China City 6 times now and the food is outstanding, taste delicious and not greasy like most Chinese takeaways. The portions are very good too. If the food and service remains the same, I will continue to order my Chinese from China City Highly recommended

Food was extremely poor. Only ate about a quarter and couldn't eat the rest. Really greasy and horrible.

Food took an age to come, I was waiting at least 25 minutes. When it did come it was a waste of time waiting, had a horrible taste and is one of the worst Chinese takeaways I've ever had.

I ordered chicken fried rice, it was the worst I've ever had. Had a nasty taste to it and was overcooked. My wife had chicken curry which she said was nasty too and we were both sick the next day, likely because of this food.. Avoid at all costs!

Chow mein was a bit dry. Crispy chicken was definitely not crispy lol egg fried rice was really stoggy like a microwave packet from the supermarket. Overall 2-3 star, it wasn’t awful by any means. It Just wasn’t delicious & we ordered Friday night so you’d think it would have been fresh. Delivery was very quick tho and the guy was pleasant. Easy to order.

Takeaway - collected I have been using this China City takeaway for about 12 years. But, today will be the last time as the quality of the food is now consistently very poor. It's not alone, the quality of takeaway food almost everywhere is now very poor. In the 1980's and 1990's Chinese and Indian takeaways rarely served a bad meal, the opposite is now true. And, at todays high takeaway prices, I can make the same dishes at home, to a much better standard, at half the price. I sympathise with the restaurants, who of course need to make a living, but serving poorer and poorer quality food is a race to the bottom and eventually people will just not buy it any more - I am now one of those.

Everything was twice cooked and sweet and sour sauce was like water. Sack the cooks. They are not chefs!!!!!

Delivered ahead of schedule to the Premier Inn in Warwick, food was hot and delicious, easy to order online and a great service.

Food just ok but not very warm.

Food was not the best this time around, curry was very oily, portion sizes have suddenly shrunk, too much salt/MSG and to top it off, left a note to delivery food at correct time as it was late on pervious occasion - it was late again!!!

Another wonderful meal delivered hot and on time from China City in Warwick. Very friendly staff who have never let us down. Brilliant service. Thank you.

Food as been excellent so far and the salt and pepper chips are to die for

Generous portions, huge menu but I loved the dishes I have tried. Friendly staff, small seating area with reading material and TV for waiting collections but parking is hit and miss. Web ordering has been improved, especially in a mobile or tablet. Delivery is faster than many others and can be a bit if a wait at peak times, but drivers always courteous and never had anything mistakes or complaints with the order or the food.

Good tasty meal. Not greasy as some Chinese takeaways can be. Generous portions and good service. Reasonable price.

so I made an order at 7pm to be collected at 7:30pm.. and then changed it at 20 past 7 to be delivered and was told my order was being cooked and would be with me at half 7, rang them at 7:40 and got a "hello" as in what do you want hello.. as was told again my order was cooking, how long does it take to cook chips and plain noodles.. wont be going again after this..

Wanted to watch Liverpool game So decided to have a takeaway.Couldnt fault in anyway. Had the set meal with extras as there was 5 of us .Plenty of choice I do love their spare ribs and beef dishes.

Really friendly service from the lady behind the counter, delicious food and a great pub next door (The Old Post Office) for a quick pint whilst you're waiting for your food. The only downside was that they didn't accept credit card payment.

We only chose this takeaway as it shares a name with our old Chinese in Rugby. There the similarities end! Really tasty food, reasonably priced and well cooked. Super friendly service despite it being busy - we went for collection but have had delivery since. Genuinely helpful and a nice clean waiting area. Awesome noodles and generous portions

Had a tasty takeaway whilst staying on the Racecourse Caravan Club site. Easy walking distance, food was cooked quickly too.

This takeaway is head and shoulders above the other Chinese takeaways in Warwick,always consistent,I love the chicken curry,so much chicken and crispy onions,the chow mein is great too,I haven't tried anything else. Quality is always great and Ying the lady that works on the front desk is a lovely lady that can cheer me up with her personality and smile after a bad day,I hope it stays like this for a long time to come

Great Chinese takeaway, open until about 11.30, food was lovely. The next time that we stay in Warwick we will be coming back. Special Chowmein 👌

My advice... get a takeaway and take it 2 doors down to the Old Post Office who will lend you a plate to eat it off while you have a pint with it.I normally have salt and pepper squid, and the Hot box. Hot box is a spicy chow mein.I personally can't find a reason not to order it. It's a seriously good chow mein.Always been faultless.

Came here for the first time last night, I can't remember the last time I had a tasty Chinese takeaway. It's was gorgeous, I had the beef curry and I must say it was the best beef curry I've ever had. Plenty of proper beef. This is by far the best. Think I've been to most places in Warwick, but none are as tasty as this. Also the lady on the desk was lovely, very polite and looked really happy. Well done. I definitely will be using this place from now on.

I used the website option for the first time today and it works well. I was charged £1 for delivery (which is fair) and 50p for using my card on the bigfoodie website (a little cheeky but I understand this is the website not the takeaways doing).

A well-established, clean, Chinese takeout food place in a great location. Menu was varied, and the food was good and a good bargain for the price. Locals were waiting for their food in good cheer and comfort on the front room couches, so this must be a good place! I got the sweet and sour chicken and hot and sour soup, both were very good by UK takeout standards. Super friendly and helpful counter lady.

Ordered their special fried rice I've heard a lot about. Came very quickly and was fairly priced. A meal in itself, with chunks of meat and veg. Took it to the old post office pub down the road. (they allow you to eat takeaway there) Delicious!

Awfull service online ordering was crap never again

Ordered the other day, half of it was cold. My beef curry tastes that salty I had to throw it away. .my partner also threw his away. Will not order from here again. Waste of money.

The food was absolutely disgusting literally ate a mouthful of everything I ordered tonight and the rest is going in the bin! The chips look like they're the frozen packet fries from Aldi, just hated absolutely everything. Would NEVER recommend to anyone!!!
