The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Ordered meals from Chows and it was a real hit and miss. Every dish was packed with onions, and for £28, it just wasn’t worth it. When I mentioned it, they told me their meals are “half vegetables”—not what I expected at all. To make things worse, the older lady with shorter hair was incredibly rude and gave me such a cold, unpleasant look. Really disappointing experience all round.

Wasn't very impressed with food to be honest, very salty and quite dry.

Nos dieron pollo de verdad en lugar del satay de pollo falso que pedimos y huevo en nuestro arroz frito cuando pedimos específicamente ningún huevo. Le dijeron al gerente que volvería a estar en contacto, pero nunca lo hizo. Pobre en el mejor.

Always always a pleasure to visit here for a Friday night takeaway, great food, prices could be better, friendly service, 4.9/5.0 only because I once got short changed on my rice

So i am overriding the review that follows this. Have not been here since but our food this time was excellent. Sweet and sour Cantonese style ...and was delicious. Old review - disappointing quite watery, used before and has been great . Husbands dish meat very tough !

I went onto the website which states currently open Tuesdays 11.02.2025and ordered a take away to pick up just after 6pm . Once the money went through it came back saying pick up after 6pm on Wednesday. Apparently it isn't open. This is a terrible service . Be careful of this. Now I have to spend time contacting them to try and get a full refund

Don’t know what’s happened to Chim’s but has lost all flavour and everything was dry. Genuinely can’t believe how bad it’s become

Worst Chinese tray meal I have seen and eaten in my life. Asked for chicken balls, noodles and curry sauce but opened it up wondering where the curry was. The noodles weren’t soft and the chicken balls had so much batter on them as if undercooked. I would not recommend this at all, save your money.

Not Singapore fried rice but Hot & Spicy fried rice 🤔. For me, it wasn't spicy. It was good but dry. As a suggestion, I'd use chilli oil to make this dish more spicy and more moist.

Best in the business for Chinese. Not many places still do spicy curry sauce. Been going for 20 years and it still tastes the same.

We ordered there a handful of times but recently when we ordered the same thing something didn’t feel right when eating it and people do say that the state of the kitchen isn’t the best but other say they wouldn’t go elsewhere for Chinese, I’m not sure if I’d say the same after last time haven’t been back.

Their pork is excellent, been on the hunt for that exact dish from a takeaway for ages.
