I treated us to a Chinese last night, now normally it's nice, for a Chinese you know... Anyway last night's delivery was just the Best! Loads of flavour, I had a treat in my bag too which just rounded off our dishes lovely! Honestly the best I've had from you guys! Thai curry, Malaysian sambal, even the egg rice was different and flavourful lol! Thank you, we'll see you again soon

An unassuming exterior but the food served is delicious. Very helpful staff. We don't go anywhere else for a Chinese takeaway. We have picked up and had a delivery and both were good. Be aware that it's cash only; no cards.

My daughter had the veggie options and has been non stop diarrhoea and vomiting for 6 hours straight, before having to go to the hospital who confirmed food poisoning. Very unwell still high temperature and inflamed bowels. I do not recommend. Try at your own risk! Loss of earnings now etc.

Wanted a takeaway while staying at local Strawberryfield Park lodges as suggested by the Welcome Pack. Quite obvious early int he phone call they didn’t really want to take our order. Even though they knew the location as they knew where I was talking about (I’m sure they get a few orders from here as their menu is part of the pack). They insisted on a post code. Which unfortunately for them I found and provided. Next they tried to sway me by saying collection would be quicker. I did not want this, I wanted delivery as per their leaflet. NEXT, I would have to collect at the main “reception” of the park (ok I can do that). NEXT! Cash only, ah you’ve got me on that one!! Taken their leaflet out the welcome pack and put in the bin, will be suggesting the park owners do the same. What a waste of my time!

I can only comment on the takeaway and first agree that sauces are a watery. I would say that other places may thicken the sauce but then again it really a matter of style difference. The taste though is very good in my own opinion with Chinese food having ‘wok-hei’ is the most important. This places cooking has that!

Ordered from here. Ignoring some of the bad reviews. Unfortunately we should have taken note from what was written. The meal was ready in 15 minutes which is always a concern. And was not a good experience. Overcooked batter in what tasted and smelt like old oil. Soggy noodles with no flavour and spring rolls that fell apart with the grease. Complete waste of money and don't like to give negative reviews.

Delivery came very quick..Nice lady..although wrong chowmein was prawn and not chicken but disappointed..didn't eat the prawns just plain chowmein

Really disappointed with our order tonight. Everything was so watery and really lacking in flavour. We didn’t want to leave a review before speaking to the restaurant on the phone but we were passed around the team to be told that we needed to drive back to show them our food and asked if we’d ever had the dishes before. It just didn’t feel like they cared or took it seriously… not the customer service we’d hoped for and after looking at some of the other reviews the watery consistency seems to be an issue they have had before. We were really looking forward to a tasty Chinese after a long week but have now been out of pocket with inedible food

Have been using this place for a couple of years so this review reflects 20 ish takeaways. The prices have crept up a bit but the food is always superb hence why we keep ordering.

Food disappointing quite watery, used before and has been great . Husbands dish meat very tough !

Chinese taste was mediocre at best, not much taste. Scarily took 12 minutes from order to delivery - not cooked fresh obviously. Delivery lady was so rude to us, complained that we were a few minutes late to meet her for our food when we were told the food would take 1 hour and that we’d have time to get money out (they don’t take card?). She then stated we were so close to the takeaway building that we might as well have gone and got it ourselves!!! We are staying at a local lodge and have no idea where the takeaway is in comparison to where we are. She also said she would not come to the lodge to deliver and we’d have to meet her in the reception car park. Just a very odd experience

We ordered a delivery from here last night to our campsite (cheddar bridge). The service was excellent, delivered by a lovely couple who phoned when they were near by and we met them at the gate. The gentleman then proceeded to carry our meal into our unit and wished us a lovely evening. The food itself arrived piping hot and it was so so delicious . Everything was cooked to perfection . We ordered a variety of dishes and each one was as good as the next. Highly recommended Sweet and sour king prawns hong Kong style.One of the best Chinese meals we have ever had. Wished we lived closer so could order more often.

We decided to have takeaway and this ticked all the boxes to where we were staying. We found the menu from another reviewer and ordered a collection. All dishes were more expensive than we’re used to in Kent but the food was delicious. Especially the chicken chow mein and duck in peking duck.

Stayed at a local camp site. This little gem was only a short walk away, so it would have been rude not to Lovley authentic feel from the shop and was greeted by lovley staff. Food was unreal.

I feel I need to drop a note. The food was very good! Served piping hot for our take out and very tasty. Additionally, the owners are lovely people. If you're in the local area and want a Chinese takeaway - GO HERE!!

Ordered from this establishment whilst staying at a campsite nearby. When ordering, it was stated that our food would be with us within the hour. As the end of that hour approached, I received a phone call stating that there had been “a bit of a problem in the kitchen” and the food would be a further half an hour. I said this was okay, and we waited…. And waited…. And waited. After waiting a further 45 minutes I made contact with the takeaway, to be told that the delivery driver hadn’t come back yet, but that ours would be the next order to go out, another ten minutes was quoted. At this point I asked that they call me to let me know when it was en route (as we were on a caravan site and would need to walk down to the entrance to collect it) and the chap on the phone said of course. Yet another 15 minutes passed, no sign. So I called back yet again, to be told this time that it was on its way but they had “forgotten” to call. When the driver eventually arrived - over 2 hours late; and after no fewer than 11 phone calls to try and get it here) it was barely warm and the order was incomplete with items missing. I rang back for a 12th time, the chap who answered the phone gave no apologies and instead treated me to a rant about “it’s not my fault it’s the kitchen”. I had to point out that as a customer who’d just paid £50 (as a side note, our order was £47.50, and they only accept cash, but the driver drove off without offering me change…) for a 2 hours late, incomplete order, I wasn’t all that happy, and just wanted the food I’d paid for. At which point he promised to try and contact the driver to ask if she had the rest of our order and would come back to me. That was well over an hour ago and I’ve not heard another word. The food, by the way, was okay when it eventually arrived, but to be honest by then we were so hungry we’d probably have eaten anything. Best avoided.

Very tasty food. Very accommodating with the gluten-free requests and seemed knowledgeable about cross-contamination risks. I'd definitely be using them again.

The food was nice but a bit greasy. It was a large order so I am surprise that I was charged 10p for a plastic bag that they packed the food in which was so flimsy it served no purpose to be used again.

Good, quick ,freshly cook Chinese food. Loads to eat, we had a ribs starter, 2 main dishes, rice & crackers. Not the cheapest I have bought but was worth it. 😁

We had 2 Chinese takeaways whilst staying in Cheddar over Easter, the first one from here. Have to say the 2nd one was a bit better from the Riverside. We used to use Dragon House all the time but since it has been taken over it's not been the same. Food was OK, still hot when we got back to the campsite but just a bit bland. Prices had increased from the menu, although there was a note in the window to advise this was the case. Chinese takeaway isn't cheap anymore.

I am staying at Cheddar Woods and popped down to pick a takeaway order up for me and Mum. The order was prepared in good time and was delicious. Thank you

Wonder freshly cooked take away. Very large portions so much so neither of the 6 of us managed to finish our meal. Unfortunate tho cos I really like my meal.

Came to cheddar woods resort and spa and had a Chinese in our party of 7 girls. Absolutely lovely curry from here. And the lady that delivered it to the spa was so lovely also..thank you to the team for such a lovely experience ❤

Was camping just outside Chedder recently.and really fancied a chinese.so popped into the village and found Dragon house.did enjoy the food.next time we are in the area I will return.

Best Chinese in North Somerset! I live locally and haven’t had Chinese in a long time, so thought I would try them out. I called in advance, they were very polite and I only had to wait a couple minutes for my order when I arrived. Food was hot and very tasty, I will be visiting again!

Tried for the first time last night, and was very impressed. Very fresh and tasty food, friendly and fast service, a comprehensive menu and good size portions. We don't get takeaways often, but will definitely be going here again.

Not the best bland special fried rice

I eat a lot of chinese takeaway around the country and this has to be the best crispy chilli beef I’ve ever had. I had one from the other chinese in cheddar (which will remain nameless)- that won the award for probably the worst one Chinese I have ever had. Thankyou dragon house for great cooking. Really lucky that a small town can have such an amazing chinese. Thanks. Mr Smith

Friendly staff, delivered well within the timescale stated at the point of order. Food was piping hot and very fresh, everything tasted delicious. Portions were of a really good size and packed very well. Highly recommend to all.

After requesting a vegan meal and having this confirmed several times. (I always do this because of allergies) I was given a meat version. They offered to swap it and gave a vegetable version this time they delivered a meal that was completely different to what I had asked and had egg in too. Staff seemed friendly enough but the delivery driver was v rude. Won’t be returning unfortunately.

Food was lovely when it arrived.... 2+ later butttt they did miss off the chicken chow mein. When we called back to notify them they said it would be a 40 minute wait for the issue to be rectified. So alternativly we asked for a refund and they said can we come and pick it up tomorrow! Overall not great customer service at the resurant but the delivery driver was a credit to the team.

Forgot out chicken chowmein after a two hour wait for food. They advised to us they will get this to us in 40mins but advised our food will be cold. Said that will be what it will be. Asked if thats the case for a refund. They advised to get this the next working day. Bad customer service and too

We ordered from here when staying at one of the Longmead Escapes Lodges. We ordered beef in black bean, sweet and sour chicken. Egg fried rice and chips with some prawn crackers. They called us 2 minutes before arriving to give us time to walk down to the gate to meet them. There was absolutely loads of meat, not stingy portions, and piping hot and fresh. Really delicious. Would reccommend!

We were staying at Longmead Lodges and they were very happy to deliver to us. We placed an order over the phone. They called us 2 minutes before arriving to give us time to walk to the gate to meet the driver. We ordered two meat dishes that were fresh, hot and absolutely packed full of meat (beef in black bean and sweet&sour chicken) No scrimpy portions. We also had egg fried rice which was light and fluffy, not greasy at all, chips and prawn crackers. Everything was fresh, super tasty, very hot. Would definitely reccomend them.

Right, I don't ever leave reviews but this has to be the most amazing Chinese and Asian food I have EVER tasted!!! It took me right back to my childhood when Chinese takeaway food was so much more authentic and tastey. We have had 2 deliveries in since the re-opening and (even though they were maybe 30mins late - which is fully excused) the food is to die for. The duck with pancakes, lemon chicken, shredded chilli chicken and vermicelli are absolutley fantastic and the crispy seaweed is out of this world.Well done to all that work there for such an amazing Saturday night event. Keep up the good work, we'll be back for more soon...

We ordered a takeaway for Delivery from Dragon House whilst staying at a nearby Hoseasons Park. We were very impressed with both the delivery arrangements and quality of the food and would definitely use this takeaway again.

Best Chinese In Cheddar! Amazing food, service and staff! Chicken Chow Mein is the best my husband and I have EVER had and the sweet and sour chicken balls were spectacular! We can't wait to return again and would highly recommend to anyone, thank you Dragon House!

Been here twice in the last two weeks, collection and delivery, and both times staff was friendly, food was cooked well, tasted fantastic, Will be using alot more now, as no reason to go elsewhere. Superb place.

Well what can I say we stumbled across this Chinese while staying in cheader bridge caravan park. The food was really good food and clean really enjoyed it if we stay hear again will go there give it a try I dont think your be disappointed

We found this takeaway by accident on the way to our holiday home. Lovely Chinese and coped well with a big order and didn’t have to wait long at all. Food was lovely and would return. Price was good too.

Ordered two chilli King prowns one off the best I had very tasty and service was excellent.

Couldn’t find an up to date menu online (I’ve uploaded a picture of the latest menu). so just turned up to order. Very friendly FOH staff member who was very chatty and was happy to make recommendations. Took around 5 minutes for the food to be prepared. The food was awesome, especially the King Prawn Chow Mein. Prawns were so succulent! If only we lived in Cheddar, than this would certainly be our go-to takeaway!

We are on holiday here so we ordered the food to be delivered to our lodge and it came in the time we were told. The food was hot and very tasty could not fault it we got some free prawn crackers and some sweet and sour chicken balls i would highly recommend

Best fish and chips in Cheddar!

We came here for a takeaway whilst on holiday and we wish we didnt!The batter was soggy and the chicken was not cooked long enough. It was very very greasy even for a takeaway and the beef was slimey and there was so much oil in the stir fry that it was seperated from the sauce on top. Very disappointed and a waste of money.

We chose this Chinese as it had a higher rating than the other Chinese in the area. Sadly we were very disappointed by the food, it was lacklustre and bland. Furthermore a member of our party threw up hours after eating their meal - we can’t say if it was due to the food however it came on very suddenly and hasn’t happened since. The prawn/chicken balls contained more batter than meat. The service however was friendly and the gentleman behind the counter was cheerful and polite.

We got here before it actually opened, but the own we let us in, but said it would be a few minutes before he would be ready to serve us. We sat down and waited. After about 15 minutes a regular came in. He went straight to the counter and got served, no, we aren't ready to serve yet, your local we will serve you straight away. I wouldn't recommend this place as you don't get served, we went up the road to the chippie near the bridge. They didn't seem to bother about serving tourists.
