The best restaurants serving Chinese food in East of England

I have always enjoyed the food in this restaurant but as for customer service I received Sunday night was disgusting the girl on the phone was so rude and her attitude was disgusting I will never go back there all the time I'm going to receive that sort of customer service even put the phone down on me first time.

After doing a dayshift I went to this Chinese takeaway and brought myself Sweet-and-sour chicken in butter, When I got home I open the packet and started to eat not realising the sweet-and-sour sauce was watery and it was disgusting however I was very shocked that the chicken in butter four pieces of chicken was raw. This was unbelievable I had to throw the whole lot away and it also did not taste normal it had a strange taste to it I was not happy with the service and I don’t think I would ever go there again to buy food. I can also inform you all that the staff there is not very friendly it’s very disappointed and I think they need more customer care training.

Fantastic food, nice and friendly environment. I can’t recommend a better Chinese in this town, if you are visiting the Swan is definitely a must visit.

Just order and receive our takeaway within 40 minutes, piping hot and delicious 😋 Great value for money 💰

Great food! So far the best I have had in the area.

One of the best Chinese shops i’ve ever tasted, i don’t think i would like any other. All the other bad reviews are definitely not true! Orders are always right as i have been going here since i was really really young (i am a young customer, being best friends with the shops owner daughter.) the conditions are very clean and tidy as i have been in the back, as i stated i am the shops owner daughter best friend. The phone calls i’ve heard are always kind and polite, it’s such a shame people lie about the services and quality, RECOMMEND!

We normally can't fault full river but in the last few months I cannot remember I meal that I really enjoyed. The food has been well below average. A few times the food has been luke warm and bland and today it was incredibly salty and over processed and ended up in the bin.

I really wish I had read the reviews before I went, the pork dumplings were burnt and the twice cooked pork was supposed to be hot and spicy it just tasted of cheap bbq sauce absolutely awful would not recommend ! Complete waste of money !

Had a very good takeaway delivered from here. Tasty crispy beef, sweet and sour chicken + rice and sundries. Arrived hot and had prawn crackers thrown in.

Best Chinese takeout round here and I live local the food is never disappointing and the service always comes with a smile so just give it go even if your visiting

Poor food. My husband and I ordered a duck and chicken chow mein as main dish and only a minute amount of chicken/duck in each. However, not the chief concen colour of cow main was dark red/black so amount of dye in soy sauce excessive. Never in my life have I had a chow main that colour before I felt sick to the stomach. 2nd dish salt and pepper & chilli prawns. Enough chilli to make u run to the cold water tap. I have ordered these from other venues and never with this outcome. Obviously novice chef just sprinkling loads of chilli over top ad lib!!! 3rd dish ribs - ver good thank goodness as I would have starved!!

I ordered food online. Selected collection time. Food was ready when I arrived. The lady behind the counter was very smiley and nice. Food was excellent. Will definitely use again

So disappointed. I dont know what has happened to the food. We order regularly, but in recent weeks the chow mein has been dry and tasteless, i had to add lots of seasoning, soy sauce and srirarcha. Previously it has been gorgeously flavoursome. I just dont know whats gone wrong here.. change if chef??

Very nice personel, good price and quality.

Food was hot, arrived quickly and was a decent portion! The chicken in the curry was super tender and the sweet sour chicken had the right balance. I really liked that the food wasn't heavily salted (which can generally be the case with British Chinese takeaways) but it was still flavoursome. Would reorder from here again
