Poor food. My husband and I ordered a duck and chicken chow mein as main dish and only a minute amount of chicken/duck in each. However, not the chief concen colour of cow main was dark red/black so amount of dye in soy sauce excessive. Never in my life have I had a chow main that colour before I felt sick to the stomach. 2nd dish salt and pepper & chilli prawns. Enough chilli to make u run to the cold water tap. I have ordered these from other venues and never with this outcome. Obviously novice chef just sprinkling loads of chilli over top ad lib!!! 3rd dish ribs - ver good thank goodness as I would have starved!!

Best chinese we've had. We had meal for 2. Lovely food. Hot, fresh and tasty and such good value. The staff were friendly too. We will be back.

Wonderful takeaway meals. Hot, fresh food, well packed and very tasty. Staff were helpful and friendly. Everything ready at the agreed time. Well worth the trip from Ipswich. Great value for money.

Haven't been here for ages and really fancied what I regard(ed) as the best chow mein in the area. Got the food home and it looks and tastes different - a half empty tub of satay chicken (we did ask for no vegetables as we always did, and they just put more onion in previously) with hardly any sauce. Hardly any mushrooms in the fried rice and hardly any chicken in the chow mein, and what was there was very small. After looking at reviews I find it's changed hands. It all tastes fine, but the portions are way down, it's different (not a massive problem) and the amount of the headline product (chicken, mushroom etc) are significantly reduced. We won't be coming from Kesgrave again like we used to - we have local ones which are nearly as good as this place used to be. Shame.

Just found out that the Rising Sun in Aldeburgh has closed down. What a terrible shame. The best chinese takeaway around. My husband isn't keen on chinese but has always enjoyed their food. It's ashame that they didn't have the space to convert to a restaurant as they would have made a killing. It's been reported that it's for financial and personal reasons. I know we are still in the grip of a cost of living crisis but we would have been prepared to pay higher cost for their great food. Goodbye Rising Sun you will be sorely missed

17 Anson RoadVery friendly staff, very clean premises, great location with easy parking too, I find the food is amazing 90% of the time but 10% of the time it can be very greasy and have no flavour which has been disappointing on a couple of occasions (ie cold spring rolls, very greasy chow mein, very oily chicken) but this is rare. Still rate highly and would come here again! Btw ITS CASH ONLY! they no longer accept card payments which is a little inconvenient.
