Castle Kitchen in Suffolk Coastal

Had a takeaway delivered. Food arrived fast and hot. All dishes are lovely. Portion sizes are great (plenty left over for seconds later). Would recommend 😊

Lovely food but had to wait one and a half hours to collect on a Saturday night. Update 9th August 2024: I'm sure they take the phone off the hook! Tried to ring constantly to place an order for an hour. Gave up in the end and went somewhere else!

WOW, JUST WOW, THE CHICKEN CHOWMAIN WAS SPECTACULAR, THE SERVICE WAS ON POINT AND THE REASON IT DOES NOT HAVE 5 STARS IS BECAUSE THEY DO NOT GIVE YOU A FORK AND I HAD TO EAT OUT OF MY GRIMY HANDS.

We have had very good Chinese takeaway food from Castle Kitchen on several occasions in the last 3/4 months.

Hard to get through which means it's busy . Limited delivery and not on Saturday. Had to let family down for family meal due to thinking it's a takeaway and would do delivery on the most important day of the week Saturday. I think it's madness . In total lost over £150 on q huge order as no delivery .

Will not be returning here. Phoned in for a collection and was told food would take 45 minutes - arrived at stated time and then had to wait another half an hour! During that time waiting other customers came in & phoned in and were told their wait would be 20-30 mins. Overall from ordering food to getting the food it was an hour and a half! The customer service wasn’t good and didn’t keep us updated with how long our food would take and were not very apologetic. Won’t be coming here again!

Hands down the best chineese I've eaten from. Well worth every penny. Reasonably priced. Even got a free bag of spring rolls!

I have been eating here for years. This is the best Chinese food I have ever had and consistently delivers high quality, good tasting food with friendly faces and affordable prices. Despite its humble exterior this is a hidden gem for food. The wait time some people complain about is a testimony to the food.

Called in our order , was told food would take an hour & a half , when I arrived at the stated time food would be ready I then was expected to wait a further half hour yet other incoming orders were being told a half hour wait time , after a 2 hour wait will not use this takeaway again and the food certainly was not worth the wait

Food was great apart from missing a dish. However the wait time is poor, pre ordered for a 6.50pm collection and still had to wait a further 30 minutes past the time. Wouldn't of minded collecting later just be honest in the first place. But again to be fair the food was great

Normally go to Golden Panda but wanted to try somewhere new and less expensive. Food was excellent and good size portions. We will be back well done to the kitchen team

Thank you Castle kitchen ,we decided on takeaway from you on 16th October (Sunday ) to celebrate our 40th Wedding anniversary .you didn't fail to.please again ..an amazing meal cooked to.perfrction fed 10 of us was delicious.

It is sometimes very difficult to get through on the phone to order but the food is very good. The only down point is that there is ridiculous amounts of onion in some of the dishes (used to pack out the dish maybe? ).

Really good tasty food, really helpful staff. Really enjoyed the Char Su pork.

First time using this takeaway, food quality was excellent, friendly staff, and food very reasonably priced, would recommend.

Usually a good place to eat but last couple times I've been here the chicken was chewy

Love the food!! when i first came here which was about nearly 1 year ago the food wasn't as brilliant but just a few months ago i got convinced by my son to try their food again and it was just shocking (in a good way) . ever since, i have been getting their food every weekend for my whole family! Here is a message for the people who are thinking of commenting saying "since new management, food has gone downhill" I kindly respect your statement because it's your opinion; since there is a new management of course the food is going to change in taste, if the new taste does not get up to your expectations then i suggest try another Chinese takeaway! (rather than leaving bad comments). Also for the people who are thinking of trying this Chinese since their new to this takeaway, don't listen to the bad comments when you haven't even tried it yourself! :)

We moved to Woodbridge about a year ago and had not tried this place before. Read a few good reviews about it, so thought we’d give it a try. Why did we wait so long??? If I’m honest the outside appearance is not over exciting, but what matters is. Great choices and the food is excellent, no complaints about any of the dishes we chose. Service was friendly and good. We will definitely be back. If you live here or on holiday I would recommend it.

Keep seeing a bad review come up on Google so I felt the need to write one. In my opinion this is the nicest chinese takeaway I have ever had. We order regularly and everything is always delicious and cooked perfectly. Staff always really nice and friendly too. So glad this is our nearest chinese

We live a good 20 mins drive from the takeaway. Got home and food was completely different to what had been ordered. Can’t see the similarities between an order of 2 Kung Po to find you get a chicken with pineapple and chicken with ginger & spring onion. Needless to say we won’t be returning.

I have quite a serious shellfish Allergy my husband ordered a Singapore noodles clearly stating no shrimps due to my Allergy got meal home dished up after a couple of mouthfuls I spotted shrimps I've had to quickly dose up my husband shot down to restaurant got his money back but the owner refused to come out of the kitchen after my husband stating you could of put my wife in hospital nor did they offer to cook a shrimp free meal as an apology . Clearly a business not up on allergies nor the seriousness of potential consequences of allergies will be reporting to the local authority for investigation on the matter

We ordered a takeaway from here while on holiday. Very impressed with the food. Had it delivered and arrived hot. Good value and they also gave us a couple of extra free items. Would definitely use again if we return.

We have always enjoyed the food from here but just recently they keep forgetting food we have ordered. We don’t find out until we get home and because we live a distance away there is never any point in going back for it. This has happened the last few times we have had a takeaway from here. It’s almost like they are always surprised at how busy they get. They need to do more and employ more people in their kitchen because the food is always good it’s just a shame they get so busy and then get confused with their orders!

Used to be amazing, but new management has screwed up the menu, recipes and time. Massively depressing. Also be careful with orders, they keep getting it wrong, especially as they currently have 2 menus on the go at the moment.

We have takeaway from here regularly, it is always hot and ready for us to collect. The price is reasonable compared to other takeaways in the area and the service is always good. The dishes are brilliant, some better than others but we've yet to have one that we wouldn't order again.

Used them a couple of years ago weren’t that impressed, this time round though food was good & delivery was spot on. All this rubbish about too much salt/greasy it’s all in the mouth of the eater we all have different tastes my wife & me found it very nice. Will deffo use again.

Castle kitchen is the best Chinese takeaway in town. It has fresh produce and reasonably priced. They are very accommodating to personalising orders.

I hve had several takeaways from Castle Kitchen over the last two years always been good and used their free local delivery service which is always on time, However I had not had a takeaway since last year and had read a few new reviews saying not as good now under new ownership, I deiced to try it again and I ordered a set meal for 3 last saturday by phone which was very easy process and helpful staff member. I asked for it to be delivered, All was excellent, the food arrived exactly at 8pm which is time I had requested and all food very nice, really good quaility and value.and my friends were very impressed, So would highly recomend the Castle Kitchen

Since new ownership, The food has really gone downhill. It used to be a great Chinese, But food is now terrible.

Hungry on the way home from the pub. Pancake roll and bbq ribs. What could be easier? Unfortunately, pancake roll was 4 crappy small rolls, tasting mostly of the batter coating most often found in cheap platters from Iceland or similar. Nothing like a proper roll. Spare ribs were reheated poorly and not good. I called to let them know but to no effect. I will not eat there again. Avoid this place if you want good food.

I am furious. After being told that my delivery would be half an hour- I called an hour later to enquire how long it would be. After being told they were then leaving I waited an additional 30 minutes. Calling up to find out where they were, and to be then told they were “now starting to cook” my order. I appreciate it’s Saturday night and they would be busy- but don’t lie about my order being on the way, when it’s not even been cooked. Currently making my father a Tuna Mayo sandwich and told them not to bother.

This is our Chinese takeaway of choice in Woodbridge and the menu choice is huge. Not had a delivery as I normally collect but I haven’t had a bad meal yet. All food is freshly cooked and I can’t fault it.I would recommend this takeaway.

Ordered a takeaway of special chow mein, sweet and sour chicken balls and a chicken omelette with chips. Arrived home to find the chow mein smelt and tasted disgusting. The chicken balls were undercooked and the omelette had no chicken but loads of mushrooms and onions.We had to drive back to return food, my partner was polite and tried to explain we were not happy with the food( previously ordered food and was fine) . The lady became very angry and wouldn’t listen . She did refund the money but told us we were not welcome back. I wouldn’t go back away!!
