Jasmine House in Babergh

I was really hesitant to try Jasmine House due to all the negative reviews but have found it good when I want a cheap and cheerful dinner. The food is nice (nothing special but not bad) and is reasonably priced.

Lovely stuff. Lovely food, reasonably priced and very quick. Perfect Chinese.

This food was okay then started going down hill then on are last order it was disgusting and now I have been ill for the past 3 days and been suffering with having to go to the toilet I can highly and I mean really highly say I will not be eating at the place again

Terrible food quality, spicy chicken wings weren't spicy at all and They tasted terrible and felt like I'm eating expired and over and over reheated chicken. I had an upset stomach after having this food. Just avoid and get a proper Chinese from elsewhere.

Treated us to a takeaway. Cost £44 pounds. This was 2 weeks ago, the food was dreadful, the noodles were burnt and that made them un edible , all was dry and over cooked, I did call the next day to complain, as these days what with the cost of living a take away is a big treat, No response to my complaint. Won't go their again .

Firstly where was my Chicken balls Curry was pre made Chicken was cristly Chow mein was dry and bland Rice was cold and starchy Chips were still hard However Mini spring rolls were lovely

Absolutely disgusting worst Chinese ever and I mean ever can't cook rice can't cook chips chicken balls undercooked curry sauce looks like babies poo ooh very dark. sesame seed prawn toast really disgusting not even using real prawns .prawn spread so we'll never be going there again

Hit or miss. The Hong Kong chicken was pretty good. Satay was appalling. Most things were OK. Cash only.

Wish I could give zero stars. Food tonight was high price and poor quality, almost awful. Arrived to pick up and found no cards accepted only cash. In these times that seems totally wrong. I'll never go back there and would not recommend to anyone.

Have never had a bad meal from this friendly Chinese takeaway. Always hot, always plentiful, always yummy and is always ready when they it will be.

Arrived at 9:30. Opening times online and on the door said 10pm close. Chinese was closed and workers were leaving. They tried to blame COVID which was an obvious excuse. If they had their closing time as 9:30 online and on the door then I would have arrived earlier. Disappointed.

Had an appalling experience, some kind of centipede insect in my fried vegetables. That was bad enough but when i telephoned to discuss this incident i was met with a very laid back attitude of if i bring the dish back i will have my £4 refunded, otherwise nothing to be done.

One boiled rice one egg fried rice, could not tell the difference so very little egg. Chicken curry, boiled to death chicken so tasteless, very pale curry, tasted watered down. Just tasteless chicken and a few mushrooms with predominantly onions. Prawn toasts had hung about a bit they were tough. Pancake roll was huge but just bean sprouts. Very greasy. Won’t be going again.

I was craving egg fried rice and all I got was what looked like just plain boiled rice with the tiniest crumbs of egg. Completely plain and no veg. Didn't even eat it. As for their chicken curry, it's main ingredient is the onions.. just way too many! I do like their chow mein! Best in town. I just wish it was a bit more moist. It tends to be a very dry but tastes really good.

This time the Chinese Takeaway, from Jasmine House, was not as good as previous . With our daughter with us for the weekend , raining all day we thought we would have a Chinese from Jasmine House and our usual choices. We had King Prawn Curry , King Prawn Szechuan Style , Sweet and Sour King Prawn Hong Kong Style, Pancake Roll and Yung Chow Fried Rice. Very friendly and very prompt service, as always. The meals were a little disappointing, not excellent as usual. Again the Prawns were very large and well cooked. The sauces the were the disappointment and the Pancake roll. Still in the future, we will try again Gavin

So with our daughter with us for the May Bank Holiday, we had King Prawn Curry , King Prawn Szechuan Style , Sweet and Sour King Prawn Hong Kong Style, Pancake Roll and Yung Chow Fried Rice. Would not recommend using Jasmine house to anybody use the other Chinese in hadleigh it’s 100% better and better value for money

I’ve given them a couple of chances but today is enough. Disgusting food, low quality fat and chewy meat. Worst takeaway I’ve ever had. It looks like they barely put any effort in it. People who write good reviews are British people who have no clue what good food is. Terrible, disgusting wouldn’t eat it even for free. Don’t waste your money

Food is good and reasonably priced for a takeaway, so it does the job. The staff at the desk could be a bit friendlier/warmer, but then it's not a sit down restaurant so it doesn't worry me too much.

Not much I can say about this....noodles were fishy, pork balls were tough. Not nice at all #NASTY Also, doesn't deliver #fail

Looking at all the reviews a few very negative ones thought I'd give it a try..and I was very pleased with the meal I had. Chicken curry Sweet and spicy rice Chicken with Straw mushroom Egg fryed rice. I never really don't take notice of reviews because alot is tit for tat...one bit of rice out of place and people moan.. Well done jasmine house. But I would like to say pls change the pics on TripAdvisor it's not that fourth coming chips don't really do you justice..

This is a Take away shop and seems to change hands ever two years. Since it changed hands about a year ago and on this occasion not very good so tends not to be used as much as it has been in the past.

100% microwaved, tasted re heated, 2 min wait for 4 dishes and was dry, rubbery. It’s the second time it’s happened, got to be the worst take away by far. Please don’t waste your money.

I have had a takeaways from here on a few occasions now, and it seems the chow main dishes are the only ones we have found edable, once again iv ended up throwing my meal in the bin, this time because of grissle and bones, and, too much doughy batter and no filling. i did call the person on the desk to explaine, which i was only told sorry about that, i explained i wont be ordering again. After all take away food isnt cheap to buy in the first place its surposed to be a treat.

Haven’t been here for about a year, remember why now, tasteless food, sloppy special fried rice, with loads of onions, fatty chicken, king prawn with pineapple mostly pineapple, not a good meal at all, won’t be returning

This used to be a great Chinese not anymore. The chips are so dry and hard, the egg fried rice just tastes like plain boiled rice. The chicken satay is hit and miss sometimes nice but quite often dry. The only thing they seem to do well is noodles and sauces

Been here for years and always good food

Ok so a Saturday night is generally a tough one for any takeaway but disappointing does not even touch it. To avoid waiting we ordered by telephone after several attempts we finally got through(a good sign you might think, busy Chinese it must be good WRONG!!).

Another wonderful takeaway from Jasmine House My Wife chose King Prawn Curry , I had the King Prawn Szechuan Style and we both had Yung Chow Fried Rice. All excellent and the Yung Chow Fried Riced was the best we have ever tasted.

Love this place. They're always quick, friendly and always get my order right. Reasonably priced compared to their competitor.

Since my last review earlier this year ,Jasmine House has turned itself around !.

A really fast and efficient service with some really tasty food. An excellent understanding of ingredients and the ability to cater to coeliac's almost effortlessly. After 2 years of eating here with no dietary problems it comes highly recommended. Well done guys, keep up the good work!

went here for the first time just last week as we live close by and the reviews looked promising. sadly disappointed with everything the chicken chow mein was lacling everything except the noodles will not return,,

I've been to exactly 37 different take away Chinese restaurants, and this one is by far the best. I've ordered yet another meal while writing review, my mouth was watering so much. Best dish Shredded chili beef.

We have lived on the outskirts of Hadleigh for twenty years and used this takeaway and the other in Hadleigh, as well as Manningtree.

Me and my wife have a takeaway from here every Friday night and the food is superb and the staff are really friendly and helpful I would recommend this Chinese takeaway to anyone.

I'm surprised this place isn't on TripAdvisor as it has been about for a long long time. Longer than myself i'd imagine. But it is a great place to get a Chinese takeaway for home. The chicken balls are the best I've ever had. The batter is cooked the perfection as well as the chicken. The other dishes on the menu are great as well. I'm not the greatest fan of Chinese food but I'm always happy to go to this takeaway.

Food is always nice im a lorry driver so its nice to find somewhere to get good food
