Jasmine House in Babergh

Great place, no other place better, The people of hadleigh are just snotty stuck up in breads !! They moan about this place because there stuck up!

Had an appalling experience, some kind of centipede insect in my fried vegetables. That was bad enough but when i telephoned to discuss this incident i was met with a very laid back attitude of if i bring the dish back i will have my £4 refunded, otherwise nothing to be done.

One boiled rice one egg fried rice, could not tell the difference so very little egg. Chicken curry, boiled to death chicken so tasteless, very pale curry, tasted watered down. Just tasteless chicken and a few mushrooms with predominantly onions. Prawn toasts had hung about a bit they were tough. Pancake roll was huge but just bean sprouts. Very greasy. Won’t be going again.

This time the Chinese Takeaway, from Jasmine House, was not as good as previous . With our daughter with us for the weekend , raining all day we thought we would have a Chinese from Jasmine House and our usual choices. We had King Prawn Curry , King Prawn Szechuan Style , Sweet and Sour King Prawn Hong Kong Style, Pancake Roll and Yung Chow Fried Rice. Very friendly and very prompt service, as always. The meals were a little disappointing, not excellent as usual. Again the Prawns were very large and well cooked. The sauces the were the disappointment and the Pancake roll. Still in the future, we will try again Gavin

So with our daughter with us for my birthday , we had King Prawn Curry , King Prawn Szechuan Style , Sweet and Sour King Prawn Hong Kong Style, Pancake Roll and Yung Chow Fried Rice. Very friendly and very prompt service, as always. The meals were all superb, again the Prawns were very large and cooked to perfection. If you have not tried Jasmine House , give it a try. Gavin

Another great Chinese Takeaway, from Jasmine House. If you have a good menu to choose from , it makes for a difficult choice, as our daughter said "I can not decide , so I will have my usual choice". So with our daughter with us for the May Bank Holiday, we had King Prawn Curry , King Prawn Szechuan Style , Sweet and Sour King Prawn Hong Kong Style, Pancake Roll and Yung Chow Fried Rice. Very friendly and very prompt service, as always. The meals were all superb, again the Prawns were very large and cooked to perfection. If you have not tried Jasmine House , give it a try. Gavin

Would not recommend using Jasmine house to anybody use the other Chinese in hadleigh it’s 100% better and better value for money

I’ve given them a couple of chances but today is enough. Disgusting food, low quality fat and chewy meat. Worst takeaway I’ve ever had. It looks like they barely put any effort in it. People who write good reviews are British people who have no clue what good food is. Terrible, disgusting wouldn’t eat it even for free. Don’t waste your money

Looking at all the reviews a few very negative ones thought I'd give it a try..and I was very pleased with the meal I had. Chicken curry Sweet and spicy rice Chicken with Straw mushroom Egg fryed rice. I never really don't take notice of reviews because alot is tit for tat...one bit of rice out of place and people moan.. Well done jasmine house. But I would like to say pls change the pics on TripAdvisor it's not that fourth coming chips don't really do you justice..

This is a Take away shop and seems to change hands ever two years. Since it changed hands about a year ago and on this occasion not very good so tends not to be used as much as it has been in the past.

We had the same as always, King Prawn Curry , King Prawn Szechuan Style and Yung Chow Fried Rice.

Since our last takeout, the same meal was turned around to excellent !

I have had a takeaways from here on a few occasions now, and it seems the chow main dishes are the only ones we have found edable, once again iv ended up throwing my meal in the bin, this time because of grissle and bones, and, too much doughy batter and no filling. i did call the person on the desk to explaine, which i was only told sorry about that, i explained i wont be ordering again. After all take away food isnt cheap to buy in the first place its surposed to be a treat.

Haven’t been here for about a year, remember why now, tasteless food, sloppy special fried rice, with loads of onions, fatty chicken, king prawn with pineapple mostly pineapple, not a good meal at all, won’t be returning

This used to be a great Chinese not anymore. The chips are so dry and hard, the egg fried rice just tastes like plain boiled rice. The chicken satay is hit and miss sometimes nice but quite often dry. The only thing they seem to do well is noodles and sauces

Ok so a Saturday night is generally a tough one for any takeaway but disappointing does not even touch it. To avoid waiting we ordered by telephone after several attempts we finally got through(a good sign you might think, busy Chinese it must be good WRONG!!).

Another wonderful takeaway from Jasmine House My Wife chose King Prawn Curry , I had the King Prawn Szechuan Style and we both had Yung Chow Fried Rice. All excellent and the Yung Chow Fried Riced was the best we have ever tasted.

Since my last review earlier this year ,Jasmine House has turned itself around !.

went here for the first time just last week as we live close by and the reviews looked promising. sadly disappointed with everything the chicken chow mein was lacling everything except the noodles will not return,,

I've been to exactly 37 different take away Chinese restaurants, and this one is by far the best. I've ordered yet another meal while writing review, my mouth was watering so much. Best dish Shredded chili beef.

We have lived on the outskirts of Hadleigh for twenty years and used this takeaway and the other in Hadleigh, as well as Manningtree.

Me and my wife have a takeaway from here every Friday night and the food is superb and the staff are really friendly and helpful I would recommend this Chinese takeaway to anyone.

I'm surprised this place isn't on TripAdvisor as it has been about for a long long time. Longer than myself i'd imagine. But it is a great place to get a Chinese takeaway for home. The chicken balls are the best I've ever had. The batter is cooked the perfection as well as the chicken. The other dishes on the menu are great as well. I'm not the greatest fan of Chinese food but I'm always happy to go to this takeaway.
