Fei's Chinese in Braintree

We had a takeaway of several dishes from here which we shared. All six of us enjoyed our food and we would recommend this Chinese takeaway.

I’m fussy. This is the best Chinese ever The end!

Poor quality. Duck wasn't nice, fat and skin was like rubber and plum sauce was consistency of water. Rice was OK and Hong Kong chicken was just OK.

We have always used Feis for our Chinese takeaway, the food is alway very nice and the staff very friendly. Give them a try!

Had a takeaway from here .I sorry to say but it was the worst takeaway I have ever had. Didn't taste right had to put it all in the bin will not use again

Excellent ordering service over the phone, delicious food and well prepared. During covid lockdown, they were excellent providing lovely meals for the locals. lovely selection to choose from. Ahh yes the portions are smaller than pre-covid but still good quality. What hasn’t gotten smaller in quantity and higher in price??? Everything!!! I believe the price is good 👍.

Little Coggeshall is lucky to have such a good Chinese takeaway - many much larger places are not so fortunate! This efficient little place near the clock tower is a takeaway only and doesn’t do delivery, but you can order online or over the phone and pick your order up. The menu is extensive, with all the usual favourites. Chicken curry was good and not too spicy and with delicious mushrooms. Egg-fried rice was standard, but their chicken satay was delicious - sweet and peanutty and full of flavour unlike offerings at many establishments. Portions are generous and prices very reasonable!

We had a takeaway meal for six which was enjoyed by all. We have used this takaway quite a few times and have always found the quality of the food and service to be very good.

My son was sick after eating their sweet and sour pork balls last night, so their ingredients can't be fresh.

Worth the 5 mile drive to collect. Hot and tasty and decent sized portions. None of the Earls Colne Chinese’s compare. Definitely will be ordering again.

Chips are alway always so disappointing, every time it's like the dregs I don't know why I order them prob with the hope they are better each time but they aren't!

Amazing friendly staff and always great food. Been going here years, never any issues. They even did everything they could to contact us and waited ages after closing once because we hadn’t picked up our food. Really kind.

A number of months ago, I found a piece of chicken in vegetable rice and now vowed never to return after that. However, a group of friends suggested we order from there the other day so I reluctantly agreed to give them once last chance. I was then disgusted to find a piece of beef in my vegetable curry so now really will never be returning. This place has no cleanliness and does not practice safe measure to prevent cross contamination. If you are vegetarian or vegan, do not order from here as there is a high chance your meal will not be meat-free. A very disappointing service with very poor food.

Awful customer service and plain rude. Will never go back, as they ruined a family birthday meal get together. Other customers were also very upset with missing meals etc. There was not even an apology just pure attitude and rudeness from the female on the other side of the counter! it was so bad customers were laughing in shock but apparently this was normal ! Will be going to marks tey from now on

A fantastic Chinese takeaway, polite and friendly staff, very tasty food and pretty good prices. I'm always satisfied after dinner from Fei's.

Looked bland, no taste Chips cold Curry sauce - no taste Special rice - did not look appealing & was awful no taste Waste of money

Haven’t had a takeaway from here in months so had one last night. I had the chicken in oyster source with spring onions with shrimp fried rice and it was absolutely wonderful. My wife had the chicken with cashew nuts and confirmed hers was as good too.

The order was fulfilled quickly with good service. The food was good with a couple of items being as good as or better than our usual takeaway venue.

Great food and friendly staff. Plenty of great veggie options: salt & chiili tofu, satay tofu, stir fried mushrooms and stir fried broccoli are all excellent. Special call out to having gluten free options on the menu.

Was good, last few times not been overly impressed

I’ve used Fei’s for the last 8 years and tonight’s takeaway has to be the worst ever. Food is cold and yet it’s been freshly cooked and travelled less than 5 minutes home, there’s bones in the rice and the prawn toast is swimming in oil and is half cooked. Please avoid.

The take aways are always very tasty and fresh. I am vegan and always find plenty of options and friendly service. The place has been painted in a very startling lime green but is clean and tidy.

My favourite Chinese takeaway in braintree has changed owners and the food is now awful from there so needed to find a new one. Had 2 meals from Fei’s and both were very good. Will definitely be visiting again.

Now and again one fancies a takeaway and Fei's is a handy centre of the village shop. Just popped in and ordered Chinese sweet and sour balls. The result was tasty but were not like balls but more elongated like a small sausage. However, they tasted good and I can not complain.

Better than the average basic chinese. But still quite basic. Make sure you've got cash as I don't believe they take Card still

We are lucky to have this take away restaurant right on our doorstep in Coggeshall. The food is always great, cooked in an amazingly short time, we are very lucky to have them here.

Nice food bit of a wait but can phone does get busy though they get the job done.villagers seemed to use it a lot.

Had food from here for the first time last weekend, and got food poisoning, as did my boyfriend. Will not be returning.

Aweful, used to be good. Undercooked food and just terrible quality. Will never be going back.

Best Chinese I have ever eaten.

I had been told by my friend who lived in the village that this, his local Chinese, was a good one. Even that did not prepare me, however, for just how good the food was when we sat down in his living room to eat it. I had decided to depart from the traditional Chinese foods and order one of their Southeast Asian specialities: the Malaysian Rendang chicken. This was accompanied by some Peking Dumplings and an egg fried rice.

Best Chinese ever well recommend

Most helpful staff. Food was the best that I have eaten in a long long time. Top marks.
