Always very friendly, go above and beyond. Lovely lady today came out to greet my daughter and give her some extra treats. Plus, they have the best prawn crackers!

Different people running it. Fong who I knew is not there. English girl taking the orders over the phone. Ordered for two people and my order of king prawn curry was okay. Fried rice not so special. Missing the shrimp and the char siu pork, nice chicken. Lemon Chicken but with S/S sauce was completely wrong. They gave us roast chicken in a load of pineapple and vegetables. Three times I explained what lemon chicken is - doh! Will have to get a recommendation for a good takeaway as I’m loathe to go back.

The lady who answers phones and serves is actually really really rude. I can’t use this Chinese anymore because of her. Lots of people have said the same.

Ordered a collection and they gave me an incorrect dish. Called them and the lady was very rude and said I need to bring it back for the correct one. We live 10 mins away so said I wouldn’t return it as we £80 on the table ready to eat. She was insistent that I retire as maybe the phone line broke up and she’s been so busy it’s just a mistake. No apologies at all. Such poor service. I asked if I could have a credit for next time, well that depends on the manager. Really! Next review will be when/if I get my dish in the future.

Always great food clean and fresh,been using this place for 25 years and never had a bad meal. Great selection of dishes and great prices

We were staying nr by asked for recommendation from staff at hotel, it really was a good meal and lady serving made us laugh very friendly.

Worst Chinese in halstead I really don’t get how people could choose this over the other Chinese resteraunts in town all the sauces are filled with water and they don’t even fill them up the hoisin that comes with the duck tastes horrible and for the duck it’s just rubbery salt and chilli chicken was not crispy at all if anyone’s reading this blossom Chinese is so clear of this one.

First and last time, odd taste to chowmein, sweet n sour sauce was watery.

What has happened to what was The Best Chinese in the area ? The waiting time was double what we were quoted and the woman on the desk was so rude to everybody I shall be going elsewhere .

Best Chinese in Halstead. Their BBQ spare ribs are very good, meaty and sauce is great. Curry sauce and chow mein good also. Only thing is sometimes, chips do change to flat ones, which are not the nicest.

Not very happy, we have been going here for years and now their are new people in there it has gone down hill, had to wait longer for food when given a time to collect, the woman on the counter taking the money obviously thinks she is a comedian but actually it’s not funny you are taking our hard earned money. To make comments to paying customers and huffing and puffing cos they are not going at the speed you would like, absolutely disgusting. So will not be returning and I’m sure in the months to come they will notice a difference in their takings. Very sad

Absolutely gutted, not sure if under new management but really terrible service received and won’t be returning after 6 years. The attitude from the lady who answers the phone at front desk is disgusting, no customer skills, tapping your nails on the desk all because a chap was taking a little longer to place his order, very rude!! Our wait we was told 45min, we had to wait a further 25min😖. Got home to find food over cooked, specially the rice!! Real shame as I’m sure I am not the only customer they have lost 😞. 17/12/2022 Hopefully the owners will realise without your customers you don’t have a business.

I went back to Jubilee tonight, yuk what a dissapointment. They charged me the same price for a singapore rice noodle despite not having the meat and prawns. I got 2 slithers of pepper instead and the whole dish was bland and tasteless. Egg fried rice was the worst Ive ever had -claggy, gloopy and tasteless, disgusting texture. Mini veg rolls were the only edible thing. AND they were happy to charge me for prawn crackers without letting me know I get a complimentary bag. Left a bad taste in my mouth in more ways than one. No Tuesday Chinese again, I will wait till Blossom opens! Over-priced and under-whelmed....

Ordered a dish the other day satay chicken and it wasn’t as I usually get from my old Chinese I used to use in my old area. I called them up and asked why it was so different (sounded a bit stupid) but they were happy for me to return the dish and change it for something else. Customer service here is second to none. I’ll never use anywhere else now

Had the Jubilee Chinese as a change and previously used to be good, unfortunately flavours were just overpowering spice so much that couldn’t taste anything, duck was certainly crispy and disintegrated. For what it cost certainly not worth it or the additional wait on pickup time.

Good news - I have just bumped into the owner of Jubilee Takeaway - they will open this Wednesday! I am looking forward to getting my favourite Chinese food from there again!

I’m not quite sure where the good reviews come from on here!! They must be written by the staff and there family!! Possibly the worst food I have ever eaten totally flavourless and just awful!! Save your money go Tesco and get a microwave meal it will possibly taste better

Just got home from a lovely time in Torquay. Stayed at the Briarfields Torquay, brilliant place to stay. Would definitely recommend. Warm welcome from Julie Ann on arrival. We arrived early, but our room was ready. Stayed in Suite 7, very spacious and comfortable, everything needed was there. Breakfast was superb catering for everyone's needs by the chef Charlie. It was a special surprise weekend leading up for my partners 65th Birthday. Would definitely stay again. Ideally situated with a 10 minute walk to the seafront. Could not fault anything at all.

Undoubtedly The Jubilee Takeaway is the best Chinese takeaway in Halstead and probably one of the best in the area. I have never had anything bad from this establishment. The food is always very good to exceptionally good. Hence 5 🌟

Only giving 1 star because I can’t give 0 stars. Turned up to collect after an hour as we were asked, told it “wont be long” and we’re left waiting another 15 minutes so I asked how much longer and she said 10 minutes. If we’d known it was longer we would have left later! Not even many people in there for a Saturday night so no idea how the woman would cope on a busy night. Left without the food and wouldn’t chance it again.

Very quick production, delicious and authentic. Best Chinese for 20 miles around - we happily travel the next town over to eat from this excellent value and decent take away.

The only Chinese Takeaway that i use in Halstead because the food is always wonderful and i will be going back there again soon!

Great and tasty Chinese food. Large menu with lots to pick from and hot and fresh food. Used this take away as the normal one used was closed for the day and to be honest I'm glad it was closed. Got the opportunity to try this and most definitely will be using them again.

Perfectly cooked, hot and fresh. All of us enjoyed the food that we ordered. The 'beef in black bean sauce' was especially delicious. The duck was crispy and perfectly cooked and we also really enjoyed the 'deep fried shredded beef in chilli sauce' and the duck chow mein. Fast, friendly and attentive service too. We will definitely be ordering again in the future!

We have used Jubilee for 3 years now and our staple order of chicken chow mein, sweet and sour chicken balls and egg fried rice is consistently delicious. The duck pancakes are a lovely addition too! Friendly service, the lady on the phone is so efficient and things run smoothly, even when they are at their busiest.

We only moved to Halstead in May, but after several recommendations, we placed our first order with Jubilee and we were not disappointed!! We especially love their pancake rolls and occasionally my new Hubby & I pop in to pick up this little treat to go with a bottle of wine 😂 They are always busy with phone orders, which is testament to how good the food is!!

Been getting our food from here for quite a few years. Food consistently good. Highly recommended. Started going to Jubilee when Blossoms became inconsistent. (New Management) Found the husband and wife team delightful.

My favourite Chinese restaurant. It is collection only here and cash only for payment. The food is fantastic, and has always been high quality. Waiting times can be long at peak times, but that is going to happen at a good restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant.

Food is good when you can get it , they leave the phone off the hook and service is chaos at best. Often calling for long periods of time to get through

Terrible customer service. Ordered over an hour and a half before we wanted it and when got there still said over an hour until it will be ready! Ended up walking out lady couldn't care less!! Will definitely not return!!!

I am a new customer and got treated badly on the first time of being there. Firstly, I called up and got very bad customer service she was shouting at me through the phone Secondly, the food is defiantly not a 4 defiantly lower than a 1 I payed nearly £30 for 4 dishes and we didn’t eat any of them. Yep..... Reasonable but not great grub, served in a timely manner at an acceptable price...Sadly a long way short of my expectations and standards...even though it is by far the closest Chinese takeaway to me, I have notbbeen back, preferring to travel tonthe next village (Earls Colne) and use the excellent Chinese takeaway there..The Lucky Star.

Jubilee Chinese has been around for years, the food tastes just as good now as it did 25 years ago. Definitely worth the value for money.

Only been here once so far as only just moved into the area.... but we got a takeaway the first night we got here, and our experience on this place was very nice food, in a timely manner at a reasonable price, so yeah, I will go back, and that says it all for me.. if I don't like summat about a place, then I don't return.... I am sure I shall be going back here... enjoy...

Food very nice, but no where to park to collect your food unless you use parking spaces in the Coop carpark next door which resulted in me being shouted at and informed that parking was for shop customers.

Lived in Town nearly four years and been to Jubilee fair few times and I can honestly say I have never had one thing to moan about. The owners are lovely and fun to talk to (if you get the chance because the phone never stops ringing). Don’t be fooled by the slightly run down look of the facade it by no means affects the quality of the Food.

Reasonable takeaway. You could do worse, you could do better. Friendly staff. Parking is an issue.

Easily the best Chinese takeaway in Halstead! Wish the would deliver. Always have the same thing every time so can only give my opinion on that! Barbecues chicken and chips are amazing!

I often go to Jubilee when I fancy a chinese meal, the food is delicious and served lovely and hot, very tasty. I think the only drawback is you have to pay cash they won't accept payment by card, not everyone knows that so it's worth having cash in your pocket. But can recommend for very tasty food, and friendly quick service.

Love this takeaway, it is by far the best chinese takeaway in the area and has been run by the same family for more than 3 decades, my parents took me here when I was a kid and now I come her with my own kids, food never disappoints and staff are always friendly and welcoming.

The worst Chinese takeaway I've had for many years. Overcooked veg, and rubbery prawns which the cat ate. Sweet/sour pork was so full of fat and gristle that the batter was removed and the meat given to the dog. Absolutely awful!!!

The worst takeaway we've had in years! Rubbery prawns (given to cat) overcooked broccoli (laughingly called 'seasonal vegetables' pork was fatty and gristle (taken out of batter and given to dog) A mistake we won't make twice, no way would we go back.

Very nice food, just phone in the order and collect. The only trouble is it's now all cash they won't accept card payment. But food very tasty good value for money.

La comida recién hecha. No gusto recalentados y muy buena relación calidad-precio. Mejor chino en la ciudad! Hemos tenido 2 llevar desde aquí y desde luego no vayas a ningún otro sitio más. Tuvimos una comida para dos personas y fue sólo £21! Mucha comida y muy sabroso.

Every takeaway we have had has been excellent. We order no added salt and make it a bit spicey and that is what we get. Shame they do not deliver.

La comida es tan bueno! El pollo cortada es en serio! Esa salsa es increíble. Precio es lo normal, pero mi 1 big bear de bichos con este lugar es que en este día y edad no entregar! O tarjetas de débito. Es necesaria una actualización pero he de decir que he tenido mejor comida china y bien merece la pena un vistazo.
