The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

We'd eaten here on several occasions in the past when the restaurant was known by another name. Unfortunately, it's not as good as we found previously and there are plenty of other options to choose from. We found the food to be quite bland and under seasoned.

My husband and I dined here last week and we had a fabulous evening full of wonderful food. The staff were all very polite and were quick to seat us and take our orders. We both a few starters each, and asked for smaller portions, the yuk sung was amazing. Then we ordered a couple of mains each and sides. This is the best Chinese restaurant I’ve been too and love that you can try lots of different dishes and it’s all cooked fresh!

Very poor. Used to be a go to but has obviously gone really down hill. Dishes werent that good, the drinks are really watered down. I mean tonight there was a big event on and a young girl was sat with a puppy on her lap... in a restaurant. I pointed it out to a staff member as its not very hygienic and they just said yes and walked off 🤷‍♂️ its obvious that swindon doesn't have a decent all you can eat now. They are all poor. Just don't waste your money

Don’t go there, we have been several times and the quality of food was always good, but last night the food was cold, poor quality. First thing we brought was a bottle of wine that was off, second bottle was cheapest of wines which was just as bad. The duck was cold and tough, the bang bang chicken was also cold, the dumplings were the worst I’ve ever had. Rice was also only Luke warm, vegetable chow mien was not good either. We won’t be going back. It was very pricey for the very poor food.

Friends and I booked a table for dinner. We had all been plenty of times before and we made a silly error in reading these reviews prior to going but we all made the decision to go anyway. I'm so glad we did. The welcome was warm, the food was fresh and plentiful. We were stuffed!! And the restaurant was so busy, not an empty table in sight, so I'm not sure the other reviewers were in the same place!! It was great and I definitely won't leave it so long to visit again. 😊👏

Had our dog with us so couldn't eat it so we ordered a takeaway. Quick service. Food was very good, we had the set meal. Lasted us over 2 nights. You got a lot for your money. Definitely worth a go.

Food was lukewarm/ cold, poor choice. Would even dare to say it was from previous evening or lunch. Sauces were watery, chips dry and hard and the noodles weren't much better. Sweet and sour sauce tasted vinegary. Very sub standard food. And lastly, keep away from the toilets.. you can smell the dampness / mould. Don't think they've ever seen a mop or brush

This place deserves a good rating, as the service and food is excellent . One of the best Chinese restaurants, outside of Hong Kong, that I've been to. The Dim sum and dumplings amazing, the sizzling beef perfect and even the vegetable chow mein had a magnificent flavour. Highly recommended.

Food was good BUT was made very expensive with 10% service charge, food was just brought out from the kitchen. No extra service. I always leave a tip but don’t like being dictated to with service charge. It was just OK but feel like it was a rip off with the charge. Will not be going again.

Total rubbish now. Used to be good with original owners. Since the new owners took over everything was getting ridiculously cheap quality and prices shot up a few times. Owners are money greedy. A round table for 2 they sat us 3 down and had a cheek to say we booked to eat there. Now we go to Imperial China, Watford. It’s like how TOC used to be years ago

We have been visiting them for many years and are our favourite Chinese restaurants in Winchester. Yesterday we had Pecking Duck, Mapo Tofu, Seafood crispy noodle and Choi sum dish, which were very nice. Also had a fish called Pomfret with ginger sauce, which we highly recommend.Definitely we will go back there again.

They use fake photos online to advertise for takeaway and it looks like the dish should have had multiple different vegetables but end up with cheap leftover potato and carrot strips (I think they’re leftover because of the taste and how soft and soaking it is).

The food was really nice and great service. Staff were really helpful whenever we needed anything, very reasonable prices.

I rang up to make a order for delivery and I gave my address and the lady said with a disgusting attitude oh we just delivery up there so I had to explain there is more then one flat up in the area and then she said oh and said we had to wait till gone to 10:30 for our food and me and my partner made the phone call around 8:30. They need to get some one with better attitude and someone who is good with customer service. This is rude. I am very unhappy with this. I would recommend checking with your neighbours in the area to see if they have ordered from here first as don't want this to happen to you.

Once again Karen has been absolutely wonderful room was sorted before we even got there checked out late and as usual she catered for needs xxx
