The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Came here today for lunch to celebrate a family members birthday. As always the variety of the types of good was good. One thing I will say is that a couple of dishes kept going and wouldn’t be refilled for like 5 minutes, this didn’t effect our experience it was just disappointing to see as I know from experience that this is a nice place to go and eat. A positive of Tangs is that you can eat for £9.50 and refillable drinks only cost £3.50. Considering you can go up as many times as you like within an hour and 30 minutes this is an excellent deal. Really recommend as always, thanks for all your work!!!

We have been here 2 times this year including Valentines Day. Always great food and good service. The food is fresh and cooked to order with excellent tastes. Nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant is always busy, the staff work hard and no real waiting, just be realistic when busy. Will always keep going back here.!!!

Well it closed recently and had been flattened to the ground. To be replaced with new residential. Alternative in Sherburn in Elmet.

Firstly let me add I am Vegan, and luckily in this day and age, it is very rare to have a problem getting something decent when eating out no matter the restaurant. However, there were barely any vegan options at all! I had a plate of Pak Choi (so overcooked and dripping in what looked like slug juice) and broccoli with a few luke-warm chips. The only vegan pudding was some fruit. All that for £20.99. Genuinely the worst meal of my life! As for the staff, the main guy that dealt with our table was so rude he clearly didn't want to be there. When they wanted us to leave they literally told us to leave (we'd been there 1h 40mins - not sure what the limit is) and I swear they put the cold air-con on as it suddenly became freezing cold. For balance, there were 6 of us at the table and I was the only vegan. Everyone else said their food was 'ok'. But personally, this was honestly the worst eating out experience I have ever had in my life. As for cleanliness, my table was sticky and when I went for a wee, my legs were slowly spreading apart on the greasy floor.

We'd eaten here on several occasions in the past when the restaurant was known by another name. Unfortunately, it's not as good as we found previously and there are plenty of other options to choose from. We found the food to be quite bland and under seasoned.

Cash only. Food was not great and also a little more expensive than our usual place in Colchester. Five dishes to test and the most obvious was that the sweet and sour balls were crunchy almost to the point of being too hard and the batter just tasted strongly of oil rather than ginger or spice so had to be eaten with the sauce. The sauce was very clearly made with a lot of pineapple, not unpleasant but 'different'. The special fried rice was very dry and hard, containing lots of meat but most of it was sausage..frankfurter or spam or similar (!) ...and that was fairly nasty. The chicken fried rice was better. Lemon chicken and chilli beef were only average. Note that it is Cash only. The staff were friendly and nice.

No vayas allí, hemos estado varias veces y la calidad de la comida siempre fue buena, pero anoche la comida estaba fría, mala calidad. Lo primero que trajimos fue una botella de vino que estaba apagado, la segunda botella era más barato de los vinos que era igual de malo. El pato estaba frío y duro, el pollo bang bang también estaba frío, las albóndigas eran las peores que he tenido. El arroz también era solo Luke caliente, chow mien vegetal tampoco era bueno. No volveremos. Era muy caro para la comida muy pobre.

Una vez más... un viaje hasta allí para que se cierre esta vez parece una renovación. Había comprobado si había un día que estaba cerrado, y su página decía que se abre a las 5 pm. Llegó a las 6 pm, a todas las luces en un salto casi lleno en el estacionamiento y el interior despojado. Solo deseo que actualicen la página esta es la tercera vez que llegamos cuando dice abierto... Sin embargo, he llegado en el medio y están abiertos También disfruto mucho de la comida cuando está abierta ... por lo tanto volver. ¡Estaba regodeando pensando en costillas de repuesto cantadas y sus fideos!

Had our dog with us so couldn't eat it so we ordered a takeaway. Quick service. Food was very good, we had the set meal. Lasted us over 2 nights. You got a lot for your money. Definitely worth a go.

Ordered a takeaway to be delivered. Arrived on time, was hot and delicious. Good quality food. Will definitely use again next time we are on holiday here.

not sure what they had done with the roce, it was more like cous cous as if it had been shredded to maybe go further, ribs were nice, beef was very fatty.

Cannot comment on the venue as we had delivery. Delivery review: Website easy to use, but not most clear. For example, when ordering battered chicken balls, it doesn't say that it comes with sweet and sour sauce. We ordered extra as a side just in case. (Not a problem though as we will use it, just an added expense we didn't need.) Comments to chef box is redundant. We put "No mushrooms please." and a dish had mushrooms which was disappointing. My husband is intolerant and they make him very ill, so he couldn't have any of that dish. Portion sizes are smaller than our usual Chinese, and more expensive. We thought we would try a new place but yeah, wish we had stuck to our regular. Tracker on delivery is unclear, not a true tracker. It has progress bar, that goes from order accepted, cooking, being delivered, complete. It reached the complete stage and we started to worry our food had been delivered to the wrong address. Turns out it was just delayed due to Valentine's. (Expected, but the phoney tracker like thing on the page tricked us.) Took 45 minutes longer than the expected delivery time. (Again, we expected this so not missing starts due to this. Valentine's is busy.)

Total rubbish now. Used to be good with original owners. Since the new owners took over everything was getting ridiculously cheap quality and prices shot up a few times. Owners are money greedy. A round table for 2 they sat us 3 down and had a cheek to say we booked to eat there. Now we go to Imperial China, Watford. It’s like how TOC used to be years ago

We have been visiting them for many years and are our favourite Chinese restaurants in Winchester. Yesterday we had Pecking Duck, Mapo Tofu, Seafood crispy noodle and Choi sum dish, which were very nice. Also had a fish called Pomfret with ginger sauce, which we highly recommend.Definitely we will go back there again.

Absolutely awful, late and cold. Phoned the place and got a very rude man. DO NOT ORDER
