Golden Dragon in Scarborough

Just had the best mixed vegetable chow mein in Scarborough. Topped with fried tofu which was a tasty surprise. I'll be going here for all of my Chinese takeaways now.

Takeaway. Glad it’s back after family issue closure. Does fabulous veggie food. Highly recommend the giant veggie spring rolls, tofu dishes and salt and chilli chips.

To much salt for me, chichen fried rice is fried rice with chicken and onions on top, Not fried together.

While waiting in the shop. There is always one party complaining about something, trying to get a free meal. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. SPENT £70 AND TRYING TO GET IT FREE. If you don't like it. Best homemade chips snd chicken balls

Had an american friend visit the other year (hillary) and we tret ourselves.. i kid you not it tasted exactly like it does in HK. (lived there 6 years) She was amazed and i was in heaven, remarked that even in America they add too much sugar that this was the best chinese meal she had ever tasted. And i concur.

Best Chinese in Scarborough. The food is always tasty, hot, and made in a timely manner. Wendy, the lady behind the counter, is very helpful and always has a smile on her face. Everything perfect.

lovely fresh food, delivered promptly and very hot. the chicken with soft noodles was the best i have had from a takeaway,the portion size was good, the other dishes of salt & pepper ribs and xsweet & sour chicken also lovely.plenty of meat in all dishes

Very tasty Oriental cuisine. Very friendly and helpful lady on the counter. Our order Char Sui in Szechuan sauce and Chicken in Chilli and Garlic sauce. Will be back next time we are up in Yorkshire.

Visited the Golden dragon by chance had a chicken Chow mein the tastiest one I’ve ever had. Lovely ingredients would highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing Chinese meal from here tonight we are staying at holiday cottages in Claughton and have family over I looked at places that delivered and this one stood out from the others and it was an excellent choice the starters and mains were all delicious in fact the steak in green pepper and black bean sauce was the best ever

I look forward to visiting the golden dragon when I return to Scarborough, and it never disappoints! Tonight's meals were delicious and great value for money. The customer service is great and made even nicer when my daughter was offered a drumstick lolly!

This takeaway meal wasn't very nice wasn't very warm my chicken balls where hard my partner had compo chicken and it was very fatty not nice at all

We came here when we were at Filey.nice quick wait but when we got back to our caravan we got some wrong items but the the food was lovely

Chicken spring rolls in my humble opinion are to die for. Never ever had 1 that I could complain about. As far as I am concerned, spot o on.

Reviewed this previously and gave 5 stars. However, we had a poor takeaway on 2nd November. Could not eat all the contents of the salt and pepper box as it was soggy. Chicken in sauce was tasteless and there was a dark strand of hair in the noodles. Disappointing and will not be returning.

Came here and got chicken balls amd chips tge chip where stone cold in middle and rock hard. We took them back and got more which where the same. If they can't cook chips we did not chance the chicken balls. Stay clear of this Chinese

Ordered here by mistake, got it confused with another local Chinese, and what a mistake it was, food was greasy and borderline inedible, rice was dry and over cooked, clearly a re-fried dish, curry was totally rank, chicken in chicken balls was chewy and low quality, batter on said chicken balls was under cooked inside. All deep fried dishes were clearly cooked in extremely dirty oil. All in all a 1 out of 10 rating.avoid at all costs unless you like awful food

Ordered from here and it was £32 ,worst Chinese food I have had in a long time . Food was delivered after an hr of ordering . The mixed starter box was swimming in grease as was all the starters ,hardly any meat on the ribs and bitty . The rib was so small. The chips where hard and dried up oil tasted old and chips possibly refried from the night before so bad . My son had an English dish which was terrible burnt over cooked . The gammon and chicken breast looked liked it had been deep fried and it was impossible to cut ,didn't send gravy like it stated on menu . Went in the bin not fit for the dogs bowl . My husband had duck and mushroom it was so thick and lumpy the sauce / gravy and his duck slices where hot and some where clap cold , must of been reheated ?? . My chicken foo Young just cooked and hardly any chicken very bland . The only decent dish was my other sons chicken fried rice but you Carnt go far wrong with that . Even the prawn crackers where stale and old . Total waste of £32 I feel angry . If I was in a restaurant and got served this rubbish up I wouldn't of paid a penny and would of walked out . So why do they think if it's a takeaway and you have it delivered they can get away with sending such poor quality food . I feel so angry that I wasted so much money and that's why I have left a review so other people are warned .

4 items I ordered at 7:50pm on a Friday night...2 hours and 10 minutes later the food arrive freezing cold AND UNBELIEVABLEY 2 items MISSING...WTF!!! DO NOT WASTE your money on the EXTREMELY POOR EXCUSE of a Chinese Takeaway...YOU WILL BE DISSATISFIED AND DISGUSTED!!

We visit this takeaway every Sunday and cannot fault it at all. The childrens meals are very good value for money. Best chicken skewers ive ever had. Owner lovely lady very friendly.

First time we've had a takeaway from here. We had a salt and pepper box for two which could have easily fed 4. The meals were tasty too. Will be ordering again.

Can be good but today’s food was awful I generally have sweet n sour chicken it’s never fresh as the older they are the more rubbery they taste my friend had black bean hardly any sauce was far too dry

Ordered duck asked for it well done, arrived cold and slimy not well done at all, we asked for a fresh one they wouldn’t and started shouting saying it was well done, awful customer service skills and cold food and they wouldn’t do a thing about it! Disgusting...and to shout at paying customers is a disgrace, they should be shut down.

This is the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had I had chicken mushroom and chips more mushrooms than chicken tiny bits of chicken and the chips loved and tasted as though they had been kept warm for hours not freshly cooked

Really don't know how anybody can give this place anything over 1star!! Absolutely tasteless honestly wish I hadn't bothered. Pricing is terrible from the menu photos provided on the takeaway site my total bill should of been £14.40 however on delivery I was charged £19.80!!!

Probably the best takeaway Chinese food I have ever had. They only take cash though, not card, which is a shame.

Disgusting food!!! Chips were wet with oil, my chicken was like rubber, there was a hair in my rice!!! Will not order ever again.

Friday evening made easy ! After travelling to Scarborough and having a mooch in malton and Scarborough decided takeaway for tea , ordered from here around 6pm Friday evening and arrived in 45 min as stated wasn't red hot but ok ,the salt and pepper chips were not tasty at all ,the Singapore noodles were lovely ,the pork and mushroom was ok meat not great ,the meal was edible and arrived it good strong containers but wasn't as tasty as others we have tried .

This is my chinese takeaway of preference in Scarborough. They have an extensive choice on the menu, fair prices and of good quality. My particular favourite is their chicken sticky kung po and the chicken curry with mushrooms. Usually visit once a month. Recommended.

Visited here last night after fancying Chinese food. Did a search on the Council food hygiene Web site and this was one of the two in Scarborough with a 5 star rating. I had the Hong Kong style sweet and sour with egg fried rice which is a bit of a staple for me when trying a new restaurant. It was a good meal with standard portion size. The chicken was breast meat. I would have liked a little more sauce for my preference. The prawn crackers were good not greasy like some you get. The meal cost me £5.10 plus an extra £1.30 for a big bag of prawn crackers that would easily do 2. The service was very quick but I was the only one in at the time of my visit. I think I will be using here again.

ordered chicken balls and chips. chips where very gresey. when i took them back the woman said : the ment be gresey. YOU SEE THEY ARE DONE IN OIL AND OIL STICK TO CHIPS ARE DAFT??. then you oliey chips and get out!

Went here and ordered take out kung pow chicken have had this from about 15 different places, but what I was given was black sludge it was discussing to say the least. When I called to say it was not what I ordered and it was nasty. She said well I didn't force you to order it. When I carried on complaining she said I ban you and hung up on me
